But is it worth it?

Honestly, there is no coaster in SFMM "not worth riding" as the only coaster that can be painful is Green Lantern. Revolution & Viper have headbanging, but its more that they can be uncomfortable rather than painful. If I were you, I would ride both Revolution & Viper to see for myself on what they are like.

How is Green Lantern painful? Does the restraint push into you?

I got a very painful ride when I was upside down the whole time on area #1 on the above image and I was right side up on area #2. In those two parts, my body was pressed very hard into the OTSR painfully. Plus, I got massive headbanging. I got on a "good ride" on Green Lantern and that was my last ride. Green Lantern is just not my type of coaster.

I've ridden Green Lantern about three dozen times, and I've had a few nasty hits. The final maneuver is the killer though. if you enter it at just the wrong angle, you either get thrown forward into the restraint or whacked backwards into the seat. Both are equally uncomfortable.

Green Lantern does have some unique forces, and if you hit the park, just use the single rider line and give it a few whirls.

I rode Green Lantern opening week, and I thought it was the most amazing ride at the park and it was a one-of-a-kind unique experience. I have not ridden it since since I usually just skip it or ignore the ride due to the fact I have heard that it worsened in just one year (new record for SFMM eh?). I have to go back and check it out for myself and see what the whole shindig everyone is saying is true or not. Another reason I don't ride is because I have heard you don't flip as constantly anymore due to the way SFMM runs it now. Shame that the ride had so much potential and it's being run by SFMM

Green Lantern is definitely one of my favorite in the park. However, if I see a line out the building I usually skip it. It packs quite a punch for such a small coaster. The restraints are a little snug, but I haven't found them unbearable. I haven't had a bad experience on this ride!

^Where exactly is the "Arrow Magic Seat"? I've actually never heard of it before...

It's the front row of the back car on Viper. So it's the second to last row on the train. For some reason it seems to offer smoother rides than the other rows. When I'm in this row I'm usually able to ride multiple times without getting a headache or headbanging!

Heading down to the Mountain today for an update on FT construction. Hopefully the crowds won't be insane like they were last week.

Also, what are everyone's opinions on Six Flags TV, the queue monitor music video ad network?

I personally like Six Flags TV. Yeah, it's a bit corny, not to mention that it's mostly used to upsell products/services in the park, but I do enjoy the music videos! It's definitely better than having nothing at all. The funny thing is that I would probably have a bit of a problem with a network like this in another park because it could potentially clash with the theming (like at Disney, for example), but I actually like it at Six Flags since there's not a whole lot of theming in their queues and it keeps you entertained while waiting in line.

The only thing I would like to see added to Six Flags TV would maybe be some videos about SFMM specifically (or for whichever SF park you're visiting). Some behind-the-scenes stuff, park history, maybe videos of past coasters (Psyclone, Deja Vu), etc. The stuff they show now like how coasters work, interviews with guests, and things like that are fun to see, but if they could tailor it to be more about SFMM I'd like it better.

For me, I enjoy Riddler. It's my favorite stand-up. It has gotten rougher over the years. I always do at least 3 - 4 reps (single rider line) when I visit the mountain.

I'll need to try the "magic seat" on Viper. I typically don't ride it when I visit. I'll give it a try.

I've ridden the "Grunt Lantern" twice. Once forward and once backwards. I didn't enjoy either trip, so it's not on my "to do list" when I visit.

As far the TV queue line entertainment, I like it. It helps pass the time while waiting. I think it's a great idea. Even the commercials I find useful / entertaining (messin with Sasquatch).

^ Riddler is my favorite stand-up too. It has gotten rougher over the past few years, but it is not too bad. It was much smoother in 2008 when I first rode it.

Riddler used to be one of my favorites at the park, but last time I was there a couple months back, my head got absolutely destroyed by the rattle. It was really bad and gave me a big headache, anyone else have this problem lately?

Isn't this the topic that has been discussed for the last two pages?

Yeah, Riddler has some headbanging, but its not that bad and can be much worse. The only times I got headbanging is on the entry of the MCBR and final brakes.

Honestly I agree with you on that I used to love that ride right when it first opened now it makes it hard to find a sweet seat. I will give them props on the thrill factor only if they fixed the track ever heard of sand Blasting and Powdercoat
