Angle O. Descent
^ I visited MM for the first time last weekend, I didn't have any problems with Revolution, it was surprisingly fun if anything. For me, Riddler's Revenge was the worst for 'head-banginess".
disney4me2001
What is rougher or head-bangier: Revolution or Viper? Â I'd say Revolution as well. I won't deny that both are rough rides, but I actually like Viper. I just don't find it to be all that rough. Of course, that might be partially because I took TPR's advice to ride in the Arrow Magic Seat. I've even convinced friends to re-ride Viper after having a rough ride by having them sit in the Magic Seat, and they admitted that it wasn't that bad the second time around. Revolution on the other hand, everyone wants off after one ride!

christianscoasters
This was back in 2007, but when I rode Viper, it was smooth. Mild headbanging but not anywhere close to unbearable. There was no line and I actually got to stay in the front seat without actually getting off for 3 rides straight. On the 4th, I moved to a new seat because people were waiting for the front. I enjoyed it a lot! Â Revolution was a little rougher but we still enjoyed it. We just happened to hit these rides on a good day then
VTown661
Okay able to do this from home. Heres my photo for the day from SFMM. Sort of a Hiring time now going on and many applicants on hand looking for those jobs that start the end of March and last all the way through Freight Fest. So a nice 7 month gig. Apply online and pass the initial online app and get a phone number to schd a interview. Hiring Event

XYZ
But is it worth it? Â Honestly, there is no coaster in SFMM "not worth riding" as the only coaster that can be painful is Green Lantern. Revolution & Viper have headbanging, but its more that they can be uncomfortable rather than painful. If I were you, I would ride both Revolution & Viper to see for myself on what they are like. Guy T. Koepp
I didn't have any problem with Green Lantern. IMHO the most uncomfortable ride at the park is Scream.

It is because there is a restraint that covers almost half of your body, and when the ride is spinning, you bang into it and, the ride ops always shove the lab bar really hard into your groin. In those two parts, my body was pressed very hard into the OTSR painfully. Plus, I got massive headbanging. I got on a "good ride" on Green Lantern and that was my last ride. Green Lantern is just not my type of coaster.  Photo source: destinationthemepark.com
Manic Monte
I'm a fan of Green Lantern, but I'd say it's more uncomfortable than painful. For me the ride packs major forces into its small frame, and love that type of ride. I do wish the restraints were more comfortable.
SoCalCoasters
I've ridden Green Lantern about three dozen times, and I've had a few nasty hits. The final maneuver is the killer though. if you enter it at just the wrong angle, you either get thrown forward into the restraint or whacked backwards into the seat. Both are equally uncomfortable. Â Green Lantern does have some unique forces, and if you hit the park, just use the single rider line and give it a few whirls.
_IntaMAN_
I rode Green Lantern opening week, and I thought it was the most amazing ride at the park and it was a one-of-a-kind unique experience. I have not ridden it since since I usually just skip it or ignore the ride due to the fact I have heard that it worsened in just one year (new record for SFMM eh?). I have to go back and check it out for myself and see what the whole shindig everyone is saying is true or not. Another reason I don't ride is because I have heard you don't flip as constantly anymore due to the way SFMM runs it now. Shame that the ride had so much potential and it's being run by SFMM
Musketeer
Green Lantern is definitely one of my favorite in the park. However, if I see a line out the building I usually skip it. It packs quite a punch for such a small coaster. The restraints are a little snug, but I haven't found them unbearable. I haven't had a bad experience on this ride! cmullin
It's not that Green Lantern isn't a good ride, it is just the restraints are usually tighter than they need to be. But I still think it is quite intense for such a small ride.
disney4me2001
^Where exactly is the "Arrow Magic Seat"? I've actually never heard of it before... Â It's the front row of the back car on Viper. So it's the second to last row on the train. For some reason it seems to offer smoother rides than the other rows. When I'm in this row I'm usually able to ride multiple times without getting a headache or headbanging!
disney4me2001
Heading down to the Mountain today for an update on FT construction. Hopefully the crowds won't be insane like they were last week. Also, what are everyone's opinions on Six Flags TV, the queue monitor music video ad network?  I personally like Six Flags TV. Yeah, it's a bit corny, not to mention that it's mostly used to upsell products/services in the park, but I do enjoy the music videos! It's definitely better than having nothing at all. The funny thing is that I would probably have a bit of a problem with a network like this in another park because it could potentially clash with the theming (like at Disney, for example), but I actually like it at Six Flags since there's not a whole lot of theming in their queues and it keeps you entertained while waiting in line.  The only thing I would like to see added to Six Flags TV would maybe be some videos about SFMM specifically (or for whichever SF park you're visiting). Some behind-the-scenes stuff, park history, maybe videos of past coasters (Psyclone, Deja Vu), etc. The stuff they show now like how coasters work, interviews with guests, and things like that are fun to see, but if they could tailor it to be more about SFMM I'd like it better. coasternut
For me, I enjoy Riddler. It's my favorite stand-up. It has gotten rougher over the years. I always do at least 3 - 4 reps (single rider line) when I visit the mountain. Â I'll need to try the "magic seat" on Viper. I typically don't ride it when I visit. I'll give it a try. Â I've ridden the "Grunt Lantern" twice. Once forward and once backwards. I didn't enjoy either trip, so it's not on my "to do list" when I visit. Â As far the TV queue line entertainment, I like it. It helps pass the time while waiting. I think it's a great idea. Even the commercials I find useful / entertaining (messin with Sasquatch). cmullin
^ Riddler is my favorite stand-up too. It has gotten rougher over the past few years, but it is not too bad. It was much smoother in 2008 when I first rode it.
