AllenA07
^^ I think it's mostly used for concerts during Jubilee (Christian day), Key Club stuff and other private event stuff. They used to have concerts there until there was that riot at the TLC show. Oingo Boingo, NKOTB, Weird Al, played there and many others. Â I know in 2009 they did a Summer Concert Series that had shows by A Flock of Seagulls, Dramarama and Everclear but I don't think they were very successful because they haven't done it since. Â I'm guessing the space is more of a money maker for events than it would be for a coaster otherwise it'd probably be gone by now. Â I ran sound for Jubilee there one year and can attest that it is a major event. The year I ran it the headliner was Skillet, which, while not a huge band, has had some commercial successes. Also the park hosts a lot of cheer comps throughout the year (hell with pom-poms). Golden Bear isn't going anywhere.
empires
Quick question for all of you sfmm regulars, I'm going tomorrow to the park and was just wondering what the consistency of both superman and lex Luther being open have been the past month or so?? JJ728
Quick question for all of you sfmm regulars, I'm going tomorrow to the park and was just wondering what the consistency of both superman and lex Luther being open have been the past month or so?? Both of them should be open tomorrow. Superman reopened after they poured the footers in its plaza, and I'm expecting it to close back down for the actual FT trackwork. Even though there is track at the park now, they have yet to move it to the actual construction site. Â As far as I know, Lex Luthor has been operating every day this year except in extremely rainy and severe wind conditions.

SFMMGeek27
I'll be there Sunday and I'll snap some pics. Â Superman has been closed the last 3 weekends when I was there (Saturday 2/9, Superbowl Sunday, and Saturday 1/26) due to weather. Lex Luthor has been open every day I was there. Â Sort of a mini holiday weekend with Presidents Day Monday the 18th so perhaps park is geared up and fully staffed for busy weekend and both Lex & SEFK are up and running. Today was a little breezy in SCV not sure if wind is factor in either. Once you arrive in parking lot take a look and see if you see either running and go from there. SFMMGeek27
Park was very busy today. More footers and hill clearing and track for YOLO, nothing really picture worthy. The first and second lots were completely full and the third lot was about half full, right in front of Scream. Green Lantern was down until about noon, them opened up and had an hour wait for the rest of the day. Superman ran 1 side all day with an hour wait because there wasn't enough staff. Scream, Riddler, Gold Rusher, and Apocalypse ran one train, causing some very long waits, especially for Apocalypse. Its line was almost to the entrance, about a 90 minute wait. Tatsu was 60-90 minutes all day, thanks to a terrible ride crew, and X2 was a 45-60 minute wait all day, but they had a great crew. Pretty crazy day for a Sunday in February but a very good day as well. They didn't didnt have the park very well staffed for the day.

VTown661
Looking out my window facing towards SFMM as I can see the Sky Tower from my den. Now I'm not a weather man but it looks like rain might be moving into the area prior to the Tuesday prediction as looks rather gloomy outside. .. KTLA just said no rain today (Mark Kriski) .... LOL... I bet drizzle by noon  And I know a few insiders at USH and word is 28,000 were there yesterday. Cant imagine as pretty much the entire top deck area at USH is under destruction.
