I had a feeling it was a fake Twitter but why is SFMM without a Twitter where they can increase clientele and update the park frequently?

Six Flags Magic Mountain taking naming tips from Cedar Fair? It has been announced guys, "Mr. Six's Dance Coaster"

 

Six Flags Magic Mountain to add Mr. Six’s coaster for 2010

 

 

Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia will add a kiddie coaster in summer 2010 called Mr. Six’s DanceCoaster, themed to the frenetically dancing senior citizen who serves as a spokes-character for the amusement park chain.

 

Scheduled to open on Memorial Day weekend, the 679-foot-long steel coaster will be located in the northwest corner of Magic Mountain between the looping Déjà Vu coaster and the Johnny Rockets Shakes and Fries food stand.

 

At 28 feet tall and with a top speed of 21 mph, the family coaster certainly won’t set any records or wow hard-core enthusiasts. The black, white and red coaster trains will be themed to look like a pair of dancing shoes.

 

Magic Mountain for this addition will recycle the Vekoma junior coaster, which was known as Road Runner Express at the now-shuttered Six Flags New Orleans before being relocated to Magic Mountain.

If its anything like what SFNE did for Pandemonium when it was Mr. Six's Pandemonium, which it's rumored to get the theme back this year, they will play the song along with other dance songs. They also played "You Spin Me Right Round" a ton. Which made a lot of people laugh because of the certain shock site it is on... So I don't think it will just be playing Venga Boys the whole time.

Magic Mountain’s 17th coaster moves the California amusement park into a tie with Ohio’s Cedar Point for the coveted title of “roller coaster capital of the world,” according to Roller Coaster Database.

The layout of Magic Mountain’s Mr. Six coaster will be identical to Disneyland’s Gadget Go-Coaster, which opened in Toontown in 1993, according to Roller Coaster Database.

 

This will be the second coaster themed to the Mr. Six character, according to Screamscape. Six Flags New England opened Mr. Six’s Pandemonium in 2005 before dropping “Mr. Six” from the name of the spinning coaster two years later.

Hm, seems interesting. This could be very cool with audio and some lights or other effects to go with the dance theme.

This is a great addition to SFMM. It's a nice addition to MM's small lineup off family coasters. The name also fits the coaster as well.

Why did SFNE drop the "Mr. Six" from Pandemonium's name?

 

Regardless, I'm glad the details about this are finally out. Looks like a fun theme for the ride.

Wasn't it Daniel Snyder, Mark Shapiro, or someone in the new management that said how terrible Mr. Six was and got rid of him from all marketing and rides? Only to find out that offending Asian people was no better, so they went back to good old Mr. Six.

 

It's a cute idea for a retheme of a roller skater. Hoping to see that all important 36'' height restriction announced next.

Seriously, it'll be interesting to see how far SFMM carries this theme. Personally, I kinda like it.

With SFMM adding a whole lot of fire to coasters lately maybe they can add water to this one! Have those water canons people pay to use and can get riders wet.

This is just what the park needs, and the location is great. I'm just glad they didn't stick it with all the other kid stuff, even though we all pretty much knew where it was going.

This is interesting news to say the least... if SFMM can pull out any theming on this one or at least copy the riddler's revenge rave bit , It will be fun for adults and children alike

Hoping to see that all important 36'' height restriction announced next.

I would hope that the height restriction would be 35" since that's the height restriction of the Roller Skater across town at Disneyland. If Magic Mountain is going to install a family friendly coaster you would think that it would have the same restrictions as the exact same ride at a local competing family friendly park.

 

I can just see it now... "What do you mean my daughter is too short? She just rode this exact same ride yesterday at Disneyland!"
