Arez55
This totally blows, I'm going there tomorrow, mainly to ride X since I haven't been on it since summer.
vedved82491
ah joy, this is lovely. I'm glad I got on a few weeks ago, when it was allright and running two trains. But this is seriously crazy. They need to get S&S in immediately. Even if it is the train, GET NEW ONES.
mummyjohn
On a slight tangent, it's interesting that if you put in 'pimp coaster' to Google Image search, a picture of the X lift is on the first page of results (at least when I tried it). coasterjunkie91350
Hey you are aware those trains arrow built are over 3 tons and im sure they blew the lift motor again.
Jew
^Whomever SFMM contracted to do the work on X's trains after the first extended downtime (rumored to be B&M) added the additional weight.

shawn_b_c
It would occur to me, now I am being logical (not something SF usually is), that if they knew the trains were too heavy, they upgrade the motor. I cannot believe that it would take that long. Then they would not have to worry about blown gears. But again, I am being logical.
Eric_Smith
How about they shorten the trains to reduce weight. Its not like it will affect riders per hour.........
alexinla
Just got back from the park(thur) and X train is still at the same place on the lifthill. Deffinatly looks like to be something serious  Otherwise it was a great day at the park. Where are these new guestworkers coming from? They were great! Arez55
I was there today as well...Yep, Still parked up on that lift. An employee was telling me how they are expecting it back up by this weekend, but who knows how credible my source was..
wrs28330
It was indeed a part of the lift mechanism which broke. Apparently the part in enroute at should be at the park with in the next few days. Not sure how quickly it can be up after the park arrives... Â We shall see.
Xtreme-me
hope they covered up the trains when we have all this rain! it would really suck if they rusted over (Its been raining non stop in Southern California all day!)
arrowfanman
Hey guys. Just drove by SFMM today to check out any progress on the X-train. None whatsoever. Although I did see a mechanic looking at the components at the top of the lift--perhaps the breakdown was at the top this time? I don't know! Just throwing that out there in the realm of possibility.  Just because repetition is fun, I'll add two more pictures of what we've already seen!  -Jahan  p.s. Thanks for the info wrs! Axman
WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Â I've been studying MM for over 7 years now, ans this is the first that I've heard about a hidden Teacups ride!!! Â Is it the old Drunken Barrels ride? If so, then how long has it been sitting there before MM put the grille directly in front of it?!?!? Â Could someone please explain this to me? vedved82491
I don't believe the X break was anything on the lifts part, I believe it was the train. But no worry, it has reopened, and new trains have been ordered. The trains should be done and arrive by winter and be ready by next Summer.
