The Six Flags Magic Mountain (SFMM) Discussion Thread

Interesting support structure. I get why the connectors for the track are on the left side just looks weird to me that they aren't in the middle.

Probably going to head up to the park tomorrow for a bit. How busy is it up there today?

According to RideHopper, very. Max waits on Tatsu and Goliath, 60-90 on X2 and SEFK, 45 on Viper really stands out. RideHopper info isnt guaranteed, but looking at everything together it looks pretty busy.

I don't know if you saw , but Live It Up is on youtube and I think it awesome!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fgurejfxYSQ

Those guys are trying way too hard to sound like AC/DC. The sad thing is that they do kind of sound like what AC/DC would sound like if they sucked.

Looks awesome! I'm heading to the park on Saturday now for the ERT on Goliath and will snap some pics from then. I know it's gonna be busy. I wonder if its gonna be worse than during the week?

I'm planning on getting there before 10, being let in at 10, riding Goliath once or twice depending on time, then booking it to X2 before 10:30 to get in line for that. Then the normal Tatsu, Superman, then Apocalypse plan... For those of you who have been at the park this week: has Scream been running two trains this week? What about Apocalypse?

Loop looks awesome! Can't wait!

Song is eh.

The backside of the park (Goliath, LL:DOD, Scream, GL:FF) was pretty dead in the morning. Was able to nail all those rides before noon. After 1pm though, there was no escaping the lines. Riddler was an hour, Apocalypse was filled, Tatsu was snaking down the hill, from what I saw Superman snaked beyond the YOLOCoaster element, Viper was 10 mins, X2 was about 90 mins, and Revolution had quite a line. Still a fun day despite the crowds.

Very clearly and heavily influenced by AC/DC. Almost sounds like a mock tribute (not dissing it); the kind of tribute done with all session musicians . The opening is similar to Live Wire, and the vocals are very Brian Johnson... heck, I just noticed they use the words LIVE WIRE in the song. Maybe I'm not getting the clue - is this a tribute to AC/DC? I would go with the classic old song, but I'm sure it's very expensive.

Live wire is a song from Mötley Crüe. There is AC/DC inspiration I guess too.

I'd rather listen to this song every day for the rest of my life vs hear Nickelback.

I will bring my ipod and listen to the real AC/DC (Just kidding, I would never do that at a park.)

It's not that bad, just probably a bit annoying for some AC/DC fans I guess. Borrow, mix it up and change some licks as to avoid legal problems, market and sell to new demographic. Works just fine in the music industry.
