coastersrule85
I have to agree with others that Voyage in the back seat is amazing on the first hill...and everything from then on as well. My second favorite is probably Hades.
renegadeboi99
Dude, easily Renegade at Valleyfair. The awesme twisting first drop!!
Homeboy23
I'll have to give my vote to Voyage.
Moose
El Toro obviously, and more under the radar I'd say Cyclone at SFNE in the backseat. Halfway down the drop off the chain there's one of the most violent moments of ejector air I've felt. Â Cyclone was even better pre neutering. Â I would have said El Toro, but then I rode Balder with its turn into the drop, crazy negative g's annnnd HEAD CHOPPERS THE WHOLE WAY DOWN!!!! For me, Balder clearly wins. silvercrew1
Son of Beast! So fast and very smooth when you get to the bottom of the first hill. Best part of the ride.
DiSab
^Son of Beast... and... smooth?!? Careful, you might rip a hole in the space-time continuum.
James_A
Terminator Salvation looks amazing, and probably would be my number 1 woodie but since you have to have ridden the coaster to vote it, Id say Tonerre De Zeus at Parc Asterix! Â Balder and El Toro are amazing woodies, if you don't believe me look at what others say about them! Unfortunately I can't vote for these as I have not ridden them. So Tonnere De Zeus for me! lond
I say T-Express!! Â That massive airtime spike in the middle of the drop is awesome!! And it's so big that you can't see the bottom of the first drop.
LcHg5265
Boulder Dash: In the back seat. Â Being pulled around the drop, flying by rocks and trees, and the high speed laterals...I miss Boulder! First drop overview! Approaching the first drop!
Coaster Cow
The Voyage in the back seat. However, I have always loved the little flat drop before the steep one on the Texas Giant. You pick up a ton of speed and hit it really hard in the back seat.
testtrack321
El Torro and The Legend have awesome drops. The Legend's after they added the slides to the water park is now just freakin insane. And El Torro... well it's El Torro, you don't need a reason!

HCLcoasters
Out of the few good wooden coasters I've ridden I have to say Roar at SFA has the best first drop.
Bolliger&Mabillard
I know it's not a drop per se, but the tunnel on Psyclone. Sitting in the station was the smoothest part of the ride. The tunnel before the lift was the only BARABLE part of the ride.
CHILLERLC1
I take El Toro's first drop like it's nothing. It's so smooth, easy, the gateway to craziness. I think I've held the most respect for going down the Coney Island Cyclone's first drop.

KnottsDisneyFarm
Xcelerator is a wooden coaster? Â I didn't read the rest of the topic title. I just saw "best first drop." I think the best first drop on a WOODEN coaster is El Toro...definitely.
Capitalize
Gotta be El Toro. I can't think of another that even compares.
