I havn't ridden a great deal of the coasters out of each category so I'll give the 2 categories that I have ridden more than 1 in.

 

Stand UP, all ridden except the vortexs.

 

Georgia Scorcher, easily hands down the best standup.

 

 

Inverted: A LOT of batman's, Raptor and Silver Bullet

 

Raptor, although personally I don't really get the inverted thing.

 

 

Floorless (2 Ridden, Batman Knight Flight (before it got dominated), and Superman Krypton Coaster.

 

Krypton Coaster, also in my top 10.

 

I've also ridden 2 of the Superman Ultimate Flights, but I don't have a preference.

 

Best B&M altogether:

 

Wildfire, it really has EVERYTHING I look for in a steel coaster, and there is no dead spots at all, sort of like a Batman: The Ride except more fun.

Hmmm well I've only been on nemesis, for anyone who has not ridden it you will not find a picture that will do it justice as its built mostly under ground as the park its in can not allow anything built higher than the trees, this sounds kina lame, the ride however is super intence and you dont know whats coming next, you have many near misses against the ground, the station or even the rivers of blood but always make it out with a twist or a loop sending you into yet more danger. while it might sound like a coaster build in a hole its has the best senary and themeing I've seen, also the track has been hollowed so that the sound of the train eccos down the track and around the vally its in, dueling dragons looks great but for near miss action its all about nemesis.

 

Also I've heard nemesis inferno is a boring ride just with the spin off nemesis name to make it sound worthy but its super boring in comparison. i think anyone who has been on the original would say that the way its themed makes it so hectic

Out of curiousity, why are Scream! and Medusa being rated so differently? I know Medusa is a bit better themed (I can't believe California parks can be that lazy...), but is it rougher? What's the deal, exactly?

Oh no! Don't forget Dominator! Glad to see so many people have given that coaster such a good review. I am not as well ridden on the Floorless coasters so I didn't know it ranked quite that high.

^ Yeah, Knight Flight is still my favorite of the Floorless coasters. Or at least it was. I haven't been on it since 2003, so I haven no idea if it runs the same as it did in it's Six Flags days.

I've only been on 2 B&M floorless coasters, Superman @ WBMW Madrid & Batman: Knight Flight / Dominator. Batman KF is slightly better than Superman in my view

If it's Robb's Alton Towers video, then I believe that that was at least 2/3 years ago. Nemesis did go through a pretty bad time where a lot of the theming stopped working and got a bit neglected, however I'm happy to say that since the beginning of this season, it's all looking lovely again.

Yep, Nemesis is looking a lot more picturesque this year. Shame about the rest of the park!

 

As for best B&Ms categorywise, I've not been on enough to say - USA 2006 should sort that out somewhat. I can't imagine too many Inverted Coasters will better Nemesis, but I am looking forward to the Superman Flyers and Shakira down at Busch Gardens Tampa.

I finally got to ride my first floorless coaster, Daemonen at Tivoli Gardens last December. For a small ride it packs a big punch, especially through the Immelman loop and the zero-G roll. The pop of airtime before the brake run is also a nice surprise.

 

It was a great move for Tivoli Gardens. The ride very short, but it's not a problem. Aesthetically pleasing from start to finish, and for those lucky enough to go on it around the yuletide season, it's even better to ride it in the snow! B&M once again prove that size doesn't always matter, it's what you do with it that counts.
