  1. First off, great to hear you got to finally ride FR! These are my thoughts exactly. The prices for those Ferrari-branded items are pretty much on par with what you'd pay for them at their online store, or at any dealership here in the states. Even so, I still agree with your point.
  2. So one of the most miserably hot times of the year in Central Florida? Sounds awesome. Sign me up.
  3. I'm all for it. Naturally, there are exceptions (KidTums is a prime example), but unfortunately she's part of a very small minority of well behaved children. I still consider certain things such as first class airline tickets to be a luxury item, and with them you should receive the utmost comfort, with the smallest risk of distractions. If that means issuing certain age restrictions, then I feel the airline has every right to do so in this case. I feel the same way about movie theaters. A big reason why I pretty much refuse to go anymore is younger children. I can't tell you how many times I've witnessed parents bringing their unruly toddlers, and even babies, to movies.....and I'm not talking about the latest Pixar releases either. They're called babysitters. They do exist. Find one, and quit ruining my movie experience. Thanks. [/end rant]
  4. To be fair, a good portion of my sentiment comes from personal experience; that which doesn't need to be aired on the boards. I'll hit you up on pm.
  5. Completely agree, especially since I have enormous disdain for defense attorneys who willingly accept the role of defending obvious criminals....and end up receiving praise for it. And what's even worse is the sickening result of this family of dbags eventually cashing in on their story. Side bets on when that inevitable Playboy spread happens? Again, from the outset, when you break things down to simplest terms, there was absolutely no need to cover up an "accident." How the entire family walks from this is despicable. Ray Charles could see through this poop.....and he's blind....and dead.
  6. It's great to know that common sense once again took a vacation......on all sides of the law.
  7. ^ Well, depending on how big his head swells, they could just sit him in front of the net.
  8. Chuck, I'll have to agree with Horizons. And as for 20K, I can't really say I was "shocked" that it eventually met its doom. But I was somewhat shocked at the reports of the apparent "sabotage" from the maintenance crew during the inspection process from top level execs, which helped lead to its demise. That ride removal still hurts me the most too.
  9. I knew there was a reason this guy annoys me so much.
  10. Or just put it in the front yard.
  11. ^^ Exactly. ^ Your first statement is fairly accurate. Like I said, location is a big hurdle for them since it's not in the most easily accessible area. With that said, the place certainly does have potential. In my opinion, if the area is ever going to transform into a "destination," it should truly focus on a world class water park as its "entertainment anchor" first and foremost. Personally, I felt the Fort Lauderdale Schlitterbahn project would have been a really nice fit at Zoo Miami, and would have given them the boost they desperately need. Moving the Hurricane is a nice step in the right direction though.
  12. I'm really hoping this works out....not just for the Hurricane's sake, but for the zoo itself. Most folks don't realize that Miami Metro Zoo (which is now called Zoo Miami) used to be a world class zoo, and considered one of the top 5 in the country before Hurricane Andrew obliterated it. It's been a really tough road back for this place over the last 19 years, and I'm actually incredibly proud of the direction the current management is attempting to take, and the plans it has. For years, the biggest things working against this place were location and South Florida politics. I'd LOVE to see them overcome both of those obstacles! Need an even greater reason to visit Zoo Miami? The monorail is looking better than ever! Just zoom in and take a look at that awesome layout here or here (even though it unfortunately doesn't go through the aviary anymore)!!
  13. I'm thinking 21-person human centipede as the mascot.
  14. In order for them to "rebuild" it, doesn't it need to actually be built first?
  15. Do everything these people tell you to do.
  16. ^ It was just a joke based on this thread. Your pics are really good.
  17. ^ The pictures aren't watermarked. I think that's the problem.
  18. ^ It was one of the older places on the strip, full of history and nostalgia, but time was passing it by. What you saw in those pics certainly isn't standard these days.... That was actually the selling point of those suites. One of them was the Beatles suite (where the Beatles stayed when they played a concert in Vegas) and the other was the Elvis suite (where he would go "hide" w/ Priscilla while shooting "Viva Las Vegas"). They actually did renovate some of the rooms a few years ago, including really nice 2BR penthouse suite. But I'm sure the fixtures in those rooms were sold right away. EDIT: And speaking of that Beatles stay.....Click here.
  19. To be honest, I've never known a whole lot about this park, but this is definitely the best report I've seen of it....and it looks GREAT! Awesome indeed!
  20. You failed. I'm just hoping somehow there's a Part 2.
