  1. Nah, that's an awesome stage setup for any other band. For Muse it's just the latest in a string of fantastic designs!! I saw them both nights at Wembley on the barrier each time. On Friday Chris threw me his harmonica which was nice Dave
  2. Scott, here's the link: http://ecurie25.co.uk/ The Enzo was outside because it was owned by one of the people there, hearing that thing fire up and tear down the road was pretty cool! There is only one nice Porsche in the world, thankfully you posted pictures of it The others have more in common with a frog than a motorcar...
  3. How eloquent of you Larry...
  4. I'm not sure there are pictures of friday nights drinking, Saturday should be well covered though Patience, young cherub Dave
  5. Divv, did you get video of the bumper cars? Behind Knobels they're probably the best ones I've been on! Well that of Power Park, but that wasn't because the cars themselves were anything special Dave "the one, the only" Wilson
  6. We used to do that in school before they had a decent network and it was just a series of individual workstations, fun times. Another good one that was in no way subtle was to just open explorer and navigate to the central file server, select all and open everything at once. The only thing you could do was pull the plug Dave
  7. Ha! It's actually a little more accessible than that (only a little though!). You pay a membership fee and get points that you can then exchange to hire the cars for a number of days. The idea being that they take care of insurance, maintenance and depreciation while you just drive. They claim you get about 40-50 driving days in a year depending on the type of cars you get out and how many miles you do. Still too expensive for us, but a little less than $600,000 Dave
  8. I think I just wet myself...
  9. I was at the launch of a new branch of a supercar club the other day and I thought I'd share some pictures of the exotica on display All in all a pretty good night, open bar and unlocked supercars made it pretty fun! Enjoy: If this is the first thing you see when you arrive, it's going to be a good night! IMO the F430 spider is one of the best looking cars from the last decade... The return of the gullwing!! Very comfy inside too Anything that looks like a spaceship is an instant winner, so the LP560-4 gets my vote! Some of the Brits might recognise Darius of TV talent show fame. He was there doing slightly more mature material. Audi R8 V10 spider, a thing of beauty... One more shot of the Enzo can't hurt, can it? General overview of what was inside. Note the Ferrari 458 in the back corner, the best looking thing to come out of Modena since the 355. Ferrari California, not my cup of tea but quite a few others seemed to like it. Another shot of this stunner! I'll end with a terrible photo, but I figure even a terrible photo of some awesome cars is better than no photo at all...
  10. I can hardly contain myself...
  11. Hanno, I have a question, what is the strip on the back of the train for? Dave
  12. ^ It looks like an electrostatic discharge strip. Basically stops you from getting a shock if you touch metalwork on the train (given that it spends it's life going very quickly on insulative tyres, I can imagine it would otherwise build up quite a static charge). Great pictures Hanno! I'll have to go and check this thing out at some point! Dave
  13. ^ Honestly I'm slightly disappointed that I can't purchase a tiny Big Mac. It would be awesome to do a whitecastle style binge of mini McDonalds! I know who I'm sticking with on the Japan trip!! Awesome TR so far Dave, just makes me more and more determined to get to Japan soon!! Looking forward to more updates Oh, I put links into the first post to make everything easier to find Dave
  14. ^ Let's not jump to conclusions. It could just be an issue that is easier to service if Murphy is in the raised position. That's not to say this isn't a problem which will take a long time to fix, but thats not the only conclusion that can be drawn... Dave
  15. I've merged a second "pre-lift" thread in here so feel free to continue discussion Throwing in my $.02, Thorpe has two pretty cool pre-lifts in Nemesis Inferno and SAW. SAW being the better of the two! Dave
  16. "HULLO! Now I'm gunna give, all my friends a snack!"
  17. That's not quite what Joey is saying. Tweaking and modifying is a great thing to do, however using something outside of its design specification is asking for trouble. Dave
  18. ^ Yeah, Ride oblivion, then the second the park opens go and get 13 and RITA before the guests can reach that area from the entrance. Dave
  19. She can now also say the word "polygon". Next year i'll teach her about conic sections...
  20. Ha! Yeah just like all the other reports that have been posted by moderators in this thread, it's all the photo's and captions that Robb put up on facebook throughout the day. Dave

Insanity ensues... 10 contestants compete in this race against time. Robb will tell you an item that you need to get from our audience. The quicker a contestant comes back with an item, the more points you get! "Bring me back a TPR Pen!" Contestants are fighting to be the first to show Robb their items! "Bring up a person wearing a Cedar Fair shirt!" "Bring up someone's Club TPR card!" "Bring up two shoelaces!!!" Photos cannot clearly describe how insane and awesome the TPR Quest Game! "With the power of my finger I push you BACK into another dimension!!! BACK!!!!" Elissa is scoring the game and she is doing awesome! "I have someone wearing a TPR shirt!!!" "Bring me your children! ALL OF THEM!!! I want to EAT them!!!" "Bring me any TPR branded item!" "Bring me someone over 50 years old!!!" "OMG...I can't take it anymore! TPR Quest is the most intense work out I've ever had!!!" Congrats to our 10 TPR Quest Contestants. Now lets check out the awesome prizes they can with... Old park maps that were displayed around the park. Intimidator 305 Media Day Pin! Italian Job RC Car! i305 Media Day Kit. "Check out my old park map that I will proudly display on my wall at home!" Repeat the last caption. "Inside this box is the key to salvation and world peace." John Pagel speaks again because he's awesome. The weather is looking MUCH better for East Coast Bash! It's time for a backstage tour! We are going to get some BEAUTIFUL photos of Intimidator 305! "My god....it's huge." "Hey Look. I'm an engineering geek and over there is engineering geeky stuff!" Yes, we are all nerds. From our backstage photo tour we got some AWESOME shots! Wait for the train...wait for it. John looks very impressed with the coaster dorks. YES!!! We all got the same shot!!! GROUP PHOTO!!!!! Intimidator 305 is a totally kick ass ride. I've been on it before and after the trims and it's still AWESOME! And the new restraints are great too. "Take all the dam photos you want!" You can't get these photos anywhere else! "I just know I can get that PERFECT shot!" "I like beer." Oh, yeah, Rebel Yell is here too. Uh, oh....another storm approaching. It's going to be on and off all day today. ARTSY!!! "I like grass." "Did we mention that there were 3 kegs of beer during lunch?" Robby is...a credit whore! And so is TPDave! "Thank you for lending me your bra during TPR Quest!" Beer and chicken...great combo! Yes, you are the park icon... Ooooh! Construction Update!!! Hi Wes. You're riding Anaconda. Hi. East Coast Bash Night ERT started with Flight of Fear...LIGHTS ON!!! THANK YOU TO EVERYONE!!!!
  23. It may sometimes be necessary to enter a restricted ride area (retrieving items dropped on a ride, routine maintenance etc.) and in order to do this safely, the staff have to be sure that the ride can't possibly be running while someone is in the area. The lockout system is whatever system the park uses to make sure the ride is "locked out" of operation. At BGE they have a very comprehensive system where the master key for the ride is put in a box that is padlocked by each member of the ride team. Each employee keeps the (only) key to their padlock on a band on their wrist until they are ready to start the ride again. Hope that helps! Dave
