  1. ^ The insurance idea was actually used for 13. Don't worry the ride isn't being moved. It's going in the same and only place it's had planning permission for. Not to mention the fact that Thorpe Park doesn't even own enough of the area by monks walk to build the ride there. But it's perfectly possible the site is an ancient burial ground. I just think that the years of quarrying it as an open pit would have uncovered that "mystery" in the '70s Dave
  2. If only they offered some sort of insurance against ghost related injuries Dave
  3. Hmm, I'm not sure how I feel about anything being built in house. I can understand the reasoning behind it, but that's something I'd want to leave to the professionals. Who did they buy from in the past that made them want to build in house? What isn't professional about the people working at Blackpool fabricating things? Adventure Island has an in house team that manufactures entire rides... Dave
  4. I would hope B&M could come up with a more elegant solution to rotate the seats. Arrow's millions of moving parts on exceptionally heavy trains is not great! I'm all for it if B&M can refine the idea. I'm sure the safety envelope has been designed so that you won't be able to reach the wheel assembly regardless of the cover being there. What if the cover falls off mid cycle and you could touch the really heavy fast spinning wheel? I think B&M have that covered (quite literally!) Dave "I'm really looking forward to this thing!" Wilson
  5. Thanks a lot for posting that, it's very interesting. Dave
  6. Go for it! The best way to enjoy these parks is with awesome TPR people. And with the ERT you can ride as much as you like!! Dave
  7. ^ Then we can all struggle to get on it while we're at Fuji-Queue :S The site looks massive! This could be a really interesting ride Dave
  8. No you can't. There is hardly any information about this so it would be ridiculous to rule stuff out because it goes against a stereotype. There's not much point speculating how this happened until we have more information... Dave
  9. ^ I Know!! The worst thing is, people aren't even winning!! If I was next in line I wouldn't go home empty handed! Dave
  10. It's important to note that the statement suggests that this was user error. It's obviously too early to tell but if this is the case then it can't really be blamed on the ride company. It doesn't matter how good the restraints are if an idiot doesn't use it properly... Dave
  11. You mean my Star Trek Convention analogy? ACE Members = The die-hard, socially awkward obsessive fanatics that go to the Star Trek convention dressed as Vulcans and speaking Klingon TPR Members = The dudes off to the side, drinking a beer, and laughing at the idiots speaking Klingon. But we're all still dorky enough to be at the Star Trek convention to begin with! --Robb That's the one! The fact that I got the Star Trek convention and Comic-Con actually bodes well for this! Dave
  12. ^ I like your comic con analogy the best Dave
  13. ^ I saw the had started doing just can't wait to be king but I didn't realise they'd kick the other one. Shame, it would be cool to have a Disney Ska cover set Dave
  14. ^ Nice Chris, thanks so much for doing that Everyone else was missing out on the commercial break entertainment! Dave
  15. This thing is awesome!! Everyone get in chat now!!
  16. I saw them a couple of years ago and they were awesome, but I thought that the support were even better! They were The Suburban Legends of Southern California and they were insane. Really cool crowd interaction and an epic cover of under the sea! Dave
  17. I'm seeing Blink 182 in June and I'm considering going to Reel Big Fish (with support by the Skints) next month. Dave
  18. If I'm still up I might pop in for a bit

  21. I just won a big ball, but I'm seriously considering buying one just because playing this game for the last few weeks has made me obsessed with them! The UK needs their own version of Santa Claw Dave "officially addicted!" Wilson
  22. Eurofighters tend to go up quite quickly. The standard models can be physically assembled in about a week, and I remember SAW went up really fast too! It's strange because like you said you'd expect steel to be going in! Dave
