  1. Great report Scott! I really like how the Eurofighters have evolved over the years! Dave
  2. If we had the money, we would have split 50/50 between helium and air, I think that would have looked really cool! Dave
  3. So this week it was a friends birthday and we usually can't celebrate as everyone has exams. This year however, loads of people had already finished so we decided to make up for two years of neglect with something cool! Basically our friend went away for the day and we broke into his room and filled it with 1000 balloons! Read on to see the fun unfold... Each one of the yellow bags contains 100 balloons. I was quite impressed that the cheapest balloons I could find were still "premium quality!" We blew them up in the kitchen/living room and then transferred them to the bedroom in batches of about 100... This is what 100 balloons looks like, I can't wait for the other 900! Blowing up the second lot. 200! We devised a pretty good way of herding balloons throughout the flat! this is about 400... We couldn't resist a play! After about 400 we had to start putting them in through the window otherwise we would blockade ourselves in the room. This involved walking on the perfectly safe lead roof and avoiding the rotting carcass of a dead bird. Lovely... We pushed all the balloons to the other side of the room, nearly half way there! If the window opened too far, the balloonpocalypse ensued. We probably lost about 10 balloons to this throughout the day. This is about 850, notice how you can only see one thing poking out above them now! The final push! We knew it was time to transfer when we could no longer see the TV... It was a lot harder to transfer the balloons when they had to go through the window! Nearly there... Balloon 1000! Blind down, window closed, everything back to normal... The birthday boy arrives to his redecorated room! In a nutshell the reaction was "Wow, this is awesome. Wait a minute, what the hell am I going to do with 1000 balloons?!?" A little sense of the scale of this! The start of the cleanup operation. I filled a cupboard with balloons to be sorted out later... That's probably 150 balloons in our hallway! That large mass of balloons by the window is covering our dining table. This meant food had to be eaten in the hall... Our life size cutout of Peter Crouch (yes it's an odd house) is swamped with the new arrivals! At around 2am we had deflated most of them in near silence!! This was really fun, and I'll definitely be doing it (or something similar!) again sometime. Of course I will share with TPR!!
  4. ^ Nice! I recently did Light Design for a production of RENT at uni. Here's a few pics
  5. No one. You shouldn't. Nice TR Divv, though next time spare us the picture of Robb's ass.
  6. Me and Chuck cemented our friendship on that train ride! Dave
  7. Nice TR Joey, this will distract me from revising quite nicely! This got me massively excited for Japan, I can't wait for more Dave
  8. I think I was writing something for TPR:TM. A good use of my last minutes I think Dave
  9. I *think* this is my list: Australia Belgium Canada Denmark England Finland France Germany Ireland (Northern + Southern) Italy Mexico Netherlands Norway Scotland Spain Sweden Switzerland USA Wales About half of that is TPR trips! Dave
  10. Wow! I didn't realise how long the ride was! It looks pretty epic. I need to get back to Florida!! Dave
  11. At most parks they do, they're just quick. The only time I remember not being checked was the mine train at Europa, the dispatches were screamingly fast (and still safe, obviously).
  12. The London eye gondolas are "fixed" so they counter-rotate with the wheel but aren't free swinging. They're also really well air conditioned which reduces the number of people who feel motion sickness. Dave
  13. The penultimate picture looks all trippy! Nice TR man, that was a fun day for me, but oddly the morning was much more amusing than the afternoon Dave
  14. So you count most woodies as steel coasters then? This thing looks epic, Hopefully I'll get out to Texas at some point! Dave
  15. I can't remember the name of the place, but the one we went to on the 2009 West Coast trip was really good! Dave
  16. Divv, I think we need a video of Miles leaving the room... Dave
  17. ^ It's a shooting darkride themed around the end of the world, I believe it is themed around an old movie (panic in year zero?) but Chuck or someone with equally good film knowledge might be able to help there. It's a nice ride, I enjoyed it last year. Great TR! Dave
  18. Nice report Divv! You'd better include the good photos in the next report! And possibly a certain video Dave
  19. I'm not sure this review will fit between the new splice plates...
  20. ^ That is an epic response!
  21. Wow, I've become quite the feature in this TR. Epic report as always Divv, not the pictures with me in (self effacing and all that...) but apart form that it was AWESOME!! I don't remember there being a rope in the skate ramp room, and I certainly don't remember swinging on it :S Dave
  22. That looks like an awesomely good family woodie! Dave
  23. Ha! Epic report, you certainly captured the essence of the park. I think I rode my new favourite woodie at this place, I just couldn't believe how intense Timber Wolf was!! Dave
  24. Chessington It's been one of my best years so far! Dave
  25. Great update Divv! I forgot that Jon's birthday was that early on in the trip, I remember it being a few days in. That was the best value skeeball ever, I played a few times and won once or twice, very reasonable. I think Larry did the lion's share of the winning though, probably making up for embarasing himself in Finland a couple of years ago... Morgan, I don't remember specifically what was wrong with the Dragon, I think it was mostly just PAIN. Apart from that, a really nice park with some cool attractions and just a generally nice feel to the place Dave
