^ I dont' think I've ever had a ride on Valhalla with all the effects working. If anything they could use this refurb to make some of the effects more reliable

Nice!! I loved this park, it's great to see the small places able to pull of decent sized projects. I'm sure it'll be fantastic and a great opertrtunity to visit again

Can some of you android peps quickly talk me through the evolution and lifespan of the various OS iterations that Android has? Is it ICS we're at now? How often do they release a new OS? Is it back compatible with all the hardware or does it depend on your manufacturer? Are some of the OS's designed specifically for some handsets? I'm aware that different carriers have different skins that they use for the UI, is that because they want to dedifferentiate their devices or do they not like Google's stock skin (if there is one?) I'm just an iPhone guy who is pretty interested to understand the world of Android and how it differs! Any answers would be awesome! Dave

^ I guess it depends how much emphasis you place on the "duel" in the ride experience. I really liked the old ride and haven't been since the Potter bastardisation, but from what I hear the stuff I liked about it from an experience point of view went way before they stopped duelling! But like you said they're still technically the same coaster, so it's great for out and out coaster nerds! Dave

When I was 8 I went to Alton Towers with my family and me and my dad ran to Nemesis first thing only for me to get scared and chicken out! So later in the day we were near Ug land and decided to ride the corkscrew (which I actually really liked, I was an odd 8 year old!). Basically my first looping coaster could have been Nemesis and ended up being the Corkscrew Dave "dammit" Wilson

Are they going to use fog or misters in the mouth like on Oblivion? Dave

I didn't realise how big the indoor section of this was, that's going to be great. Is this expected to open with the park next season or will it be slightly later? I can imagine there a LOT of work to do on this to get it operational.

I'm a little worried about zeirer pulling it off but I guess the've done enough to convince two parks to buy the product so hopefully it'll be a great addition. Maybe if it's successful the Windsor park could get one to replace the mouse they've lost! Dave

You would be surprised how little the water slows down a train with a lot of momentum, loads of log flumes have mag brakes in the trenches to help with deceleration... This ride looks really cool, I sense a Spain weekend coming up next year! Dave
