  1. Is it bad that I almost thought that was actually the wording of the official statement? I love the TPR filters!
  2. It's not falling out I would be worried about, its that fact that the ride is putting those kinds of forces on the trains. The problem with winged trains is they reall don't do forceful layouts that well, it looks like Intamin learnt this with Baco which is why you see a new design on SkyRush, I'd be interested to see if they try to sell PA the new style trains at some point in the future.
  3. This app is awesome!! I really like the picture trivia, so much fun!
  4. I think this picture needs to be on this page. Holy crap that looks awesome, I loved this park when I visited but I thought it was lacking a really badass coaster. Powder keg is cool, but this is going to be on a different level!
  5. I went for the breakdance, you can't beat a classic! Some of their rides (topple tower comes to mind) promise a lot but really don't deliver, the breakdance endures.
  6. Choices choices choices!! Looks like a great lineup for 2013, unfortunately I think my choice of trip will be dictated by the vacation calendar at work!! Time to start negotiating, Loving the look of Aisa!
  7. Seconded. Actually, they don't need to do any upgrades, just dismantle it, ship it to Japan and set it up over there. That would improve the experience immeasurably!
  8. ^ Morey's piers have only had theirs 3-4 years now and the ride is back to being pretty rough. New trains aren't a solution on their own, it takes a lot of work too.
  9. I love this shot! It's such a great looking ride. I really like the flow rider pics as well, I can't wait to do an RCCL ship (with TPR!)
  10. Looks like California's wooden coaster shortage is easing! The event looked really good (great pics!) but I can't see any detail of theming for the ride on the CG images, hopefully that will all be announced later
  11. Looks like it's coming along well, surely they'll have to start pouring concrete soon though.
  12. Great TR Chuck! Looked like another fantastic event The backstage tour at BGW has to be one of the best out there, the Verbolten stuff looks very interesting. Thanks for posting
  13. Nice! This thing looks pretty awesome!! When are TPR next in town? Dave
  14. Wow, that's fortunate! I dread to think how that could have turned out.
  15. I'm a huge fan of Hustle, really sad it's finished now as I thought it was so well written. I've been told I would love the wire. I've got all the series but haven't started watching yet, I'm expecting to get hooked once I start!
  16. Nice!! Must. Visit. Japan. Can't wait to see this!!
  17. ^ Nice! Any news on the overall theme of the new area?
  18. This looks like a great addition for the park, hopefully I'll be able to get back there soon to try it all out! It looks in keeping with the "crazy and fun" ethos of the rest of the park!! Dave
  19. That's interesting. This has to be fastest expanding theme park out there. I remember how much extra space there was in 2010 that when I was there in 08. It'll be interesting to see what the plans are as I don't think they made the best use of the splash battle area last time they expended into new land (though I do recall someone telling me that they were heavily restricted by the local government). Dave
  20. Monsters Inc in the main park was even worse!! This looks nice, can't help thinking Woody looks a little high though...
  21. I'm not a huge hang time fan (I don't really like X-Cars and that stupid S&S squirrel thing) so I'm not sure this is going to be my favourite ride, but it looks pretty cool, I'd like to see some non-inverting loops in the UK soon!
  22. ^ I think you have to forgive people near big parks with large advertising budgets when it comes to thinking what's good and what's not. The most exposure a lot of people will get to the theme park industry is the ads for their local parks. I know a lot of people that think Thorpe Park have some world class things, simply because the adverts make a convincing point. I guess it'll be interesting to see how Star Tours is holding up in a year after mermaid and cars land fully settle in.
  23. Nice! I hope you'll be calling it a "zed" 4 not a "zee" 4, you're a cultured man Bob, it's the least I ask
  24. On a similar note, it was only me and Robb on NTAG last year: Garbels, what coaster was it that we were the only ones on just before an ERT session a couple of years back? I think it was a GCI at a Cedar Fair park, but I can't remember!! Dave
  25. Is the new Star Tours really that popular?!? I'm amazed that a rehashed simulator can hold those kinds of crowds, Dave
