  1. ^^ I'm not sure I care, I just want to ride it!! I really like George & the Dragon at Efteling, is that too much of a dueler to count? They time the trains and have banners in the station for the one that gets back first so I think we can call it a racer, good fun!
  2. You had me at turtles!! For a place that had so many knock-off things, the ice house looks really good!
  3. ^ I'd be surprised if the prices fluctuated mid-season. It's certainly not something I've seen before. Obviously they will have a variety of different offers over the year depending in demand etc but I wouldn't have thought the actual gate price would change.
  4. ^Ha! I was just about to mention that one. It's very much in the same bracket as the ultimate for me, except the butterfly loop is actually quite good so it has 1 decent bit rather than none!!
  5. I know the voting is always skewed, but this list seems even more unusual than I was expecting. There's not a lot they can do about their voter base, but I would hope they aggregate their scores better in future to give a fairer playing field to newer rides.
  6. ^It'll be a LONG day, but it'll be worth it. Turning up early is the way to go. You might not get rerides but you stand a much better change of getting on everything.
  7. As always the stat geek in me would love to see a voter density map, that might explain why certain parks seem to take the lions share!
  8. Nice to see El Toro on the top spot, I rode it again last year and it's better than ever! It's a very bizarre steel list, I know it's never very well represented internationally but even in the US there are a few that I would have expected to see (i305?!?). 5 of the top 10 are B&M, I don't remember them taking that many in the past!
  9. Looking good. I'm glad to see more of these getting sold, I'm always amazed to see how few are out there when there are so many spinning wild mice about.
  10. I think it has to be DisneySEA, the best landscaped park I've ever been to, fantastic rides (good Indy!) and BEER! I can't wait to go back, hopefully 2013 Japan trip
  11. Another vote for Tobu Zoo and Cosmoworld. It's possible to do Fuji-Q but it's a lot of effort and I'd be surprised if you thought it was worth it. I thought the best thing about my visit was that you could see the whole of mount Fuji since there was no cloud cover. I guess that kind of sums up my views on the park! The other parks are much better representations of the Japanese culture too, so I try for those two. Good luck doing the whole Disney resort in 2 days, you'll need to plan hard!
  12. I dont know about other people's techniques(!) but if there is a fair bit of padding on the inside of the OTSR i push my head to the right and hold it agist the restraint, it stops your head from hitting the restraint hard because you're already against it! If there's not a lot of padding, keep your head forward and hope you have strong enough neck muscles!
  13. Nice, looks pretty busy though! Looking forward to more awesome China photos!
  14. Wow, that's a huge investment! I like the idea of a stage next to the wave pool for events etc. Is that something that other wet n wild parks have?
  15. ^^ The UK parks hardly ever change their houses, they're catching on to the trends but they're still well behind the US parks. Don't be so quick to condemn
  16. You don't often see ariel shots of parks and Cedar point has a great location for them! Thanks for sharing, do you fancy coming and covering some European parks too?
  17. Awesome!! Looks like everyone is having a great time already, I can't wait for more screwed up Chinese adventures. Trip jealousy is setting in!!
  18. ^ In general the bigger parks tend to have tighter rules, although there some exceptions both ways (Disney and some un-named independent parks definitely don't conform to this!). Like you said it's basically a common sense failure, so no-one can take anything on rides in case an idiot takes something stupid on a ride!
  19. I'd be impressed if they hit 720 pph but it looks cool! I might have to go on a Center Parcs holiday at some point now
  20. Sounds awesome, but the plans always do! Someone with very deep pockets and a very interesting attitude to risk will have to come along before any of this awesomeness happens. On a side note, could PA even take 10 million guests a year? It's a pretty big resort but that's a colossal increase.
  21. I've never had a great cycle on one of these, maybe I'm just unlucky!!
  22. This is definitely in my top 5 of amazing TPR experiences. Imagine an insane jungle gym play place for adults. The city museum alone is worth the trip! Seconded, I've probably still got bruises from that place!
  23. Is it vaguely "Disney-y" by any chance?
  24. ^ The only suspended top spin I really rate is Talocan at Phantasialand, and that's only really for the theming (and the fire!!) rather than the ride experience itself.
  25. ^ I don't recognise it but I'm not known for being the most observant person! Clue?
