Thinking about making my initial visit to this park ever in November the weekend before Thanksgiving.  What rides are typically closed for Holiday in the Park?  I guess as long as Twisted Cyclone, Goliath, Mindbender, and Dare Devil are open I am more than happy to visit.

I was there the week after Thanksgiving last year and every coaster was open except for Great American Scream Machine.

Any shop should be fine.  This season (and last), I got my wirstbands:

-At KI I did it at the dedicated FL redemption booth.  If you're there at opening there won't be a substantial line for the wristbands.
-At Cedar Point at the general redemption stand on the left as you enter.
-At Dorney at a gift shop in the water park.

I have All-Season Fastlane Plus but I've always gone in the morning.  If I show up in the late afternoon, will I still be able to pick up my wristband?

I don't know if you can use it with the season long flash pass, but I definitely used it on Saturday for the day purchase (which I regretted spending $$$ on, the only REALLY GOOD time saver was Superman due to the 1 train), the rest shaved off little to no lines. It worked well, though a lot of the employees had trouble getting the QR code to register and sometimes it took 20-30 seconds for them to finally get it to scan. I really liked it though. Nothing additional to carry around, no line to wait in to pick it up, it was great in that respect.

I wonder how that's going to work in some of the other parks on rides where phones are forbidden on certain rides (El Toro, Jersey Devil)?

I'm headed to the parks in the Sunshine State and am wondering which B&M looper is the least intense. I've ridden Wild Eagle at Dollywood and loved it, but I've seen lots of people call it "forceless"...which has me worried about the other B&Ms here in FL. Any advice would be appreciated!

I think Kumba would be the next logical coaster to try.  It's a much better transition than Montu, which is a great ride but easily the most intense of the 3 at BGT.

Don't miss Kraken at SeaWorld.  I think you'll like that one as well.

By the time you get to Universal, you'll be ready for The Hulk (which is IMO the best B&M Looper ever).

Couple questions:  We will be in a group of 6 visiting SFGA this weekend.

1). Any tips of Flash Pass for that many people?  If we are all Diamond Elite (at another park), do we get a free upgrade from Gold to Platinum Flash pass?  Also, is the park very busy nowadays?

2).  Does Superman Ultimate Flight seems safe for people of different heights and weights for the most part?

3).  For Whizzer, do they prefer or is there any signage for us to sit "two per seat" or do we need to each line up on a row and take up literally 6 lanes?  Any tips?

It's probably too late, but I'll do my best.

    1)  My understanding is that you'll pay the Gold price for the Platinum Flash Pass.

    2)  It seems perfectly safe to me.  I'm not sure if there's any height or weight limit.

    3)  I believe you can ride however you want.  I rode by myself, so there's certainly no "two per seat" rule.

It's not uncommon for rides or sections of parks to close down for future expansion.  I wouldn't be too concerned considering we all know a coaster is about to be built and there are probably even more additions coming.

True.  People also complained when Flight Of Fear was closed at KI during Winterfest because of Orion construction.

You have to carry the big cup. I agree with some others that it would be nice if they did it like CF parks where you just scan your card and use a refill station. Those move people through much faster than the cup refills too.

Thanks for the info.  I often visit parks by myself, so I guess I'd just have to use the bins by the rides?

The discount on merchandise, parking, etc will also be good up at Great America, correct?   At least that's the way I'm reading it.

Talk of improved 2 train ops and LR running are making me contemplate a visit during the week next week or the week after, especially with cheap hotel rates during the week!

Looks like even if I'm just going to go for 2 days the season pass would be the best deal to cover parking, admission, and they're offering 2 meals for their spring festival for food and flowers. Is that the way to go vs a 2 day ticket for $100 + $40 in parking?

If you're only going to go for the 2 days in 2021, then the cheapest method would be a 2-day ticket ($99) and two trolley tickets ($3 each).  The trolley is very convenient, runs every 15 minutes and is cheap.  It 's about a  5-7 minute ride and drops you off right by the entrance to the park, which is also handy.

I was skeptical when I first heard about it, but it was a piece of cake.    If you still would prefer to park in the lot, then you'd looking at a total of $139 for the 2-day + parking.  That's still less than going the route of the pass.

For some reason I'm not seeing Gold Passes (the pass that covers parking) listed for sale right now?  I'm not sure why that is.

I honestly think Pantheon could be the best new ride of 2022.

It very well could be.  I'm still a tad bit more excited about Velocicoaster, but Pantheon looks amazing also.

If we end up getting Pantheon, Velocicoaster, Iron Gwazi and Jersey Devil all opening the same year.....this will go down as the best year in a long time in terms of new coaster openings.
