  1. In a word, no, I don't ever talk to people in lines when I am by myself. This past week at Carowinds, the only word I said to anyone besides my mom was when a ride op asked the kid in front of me if I was his mom, and all I said was "What?" since I was looking in another direction at the time. My mom is the kind that will talk to anyone about anything, and it gets on my nerves when I am with her. Whenever she watches Fantasmic, she comes away with life stories of everyone sitting around her. I personally hate it when people try to start conversations with me (unless they are hot guys, but that has only happened once! ) -Julie
  2. That list only goes down to M...do you think there are more members with that same birthday, and it's just showing the first 15 on the list? -Julie
  3. Favorite themed one is Dudley Do Rights Ripsaw Falls. Favorite unthemed one is Anaconda at Isla Magica. -Julie
  4. A few years ago, my cat dumped a huge glass of water (think refillable park drink container sized) into my laptop. I just took out the battery, opened up the CD drive, and let it sit for more than a week. Turned out to be fine. -Julie
  5. Three things... 1) Chrissie, that is a *very* Julie-approved lunch!! 2) Where did you guys get those tongue color changing drinks?? I need one of those next time I am down there! and 3) That photo of the guitar on RnRC looks awesome! Love it! -Julie
  6. If it opens, I will be there. Please keep us updated if you find out anything else. -Julie
  7. Great TR! I always enjoy your TRs...always looks like you guys have so much fun. Thanks for taking the time to post it! -Julie
  8. Ok, here's the next question...is this not supposed to be TPR trivia? What does Lake Winnie's woodie have to do with it? -Julie
  9. I rode the Phantom Flyers earlier today and was happy that I could get them to snap. I thought I was doing it wrong this whole time! Turns out that I was just riding crappy fliers. Every park needs a set like the Carowinds ones. -Julie
  10. Aww, thank you all so much guys!!! I would have replied yesterday except that I spent my birthday at Carowinds! Hooray for 13 credits! And yes, I had a pickle with my dinner! haha Now that I am 27, I'll probably start breaking hips, or going deaf or something, since according to my mom, I am old now hahaha Thank you all again for the birthday wishes! -Julie (who still doesn't have her first gray hair!)
  11. 1: Little Rockin' Roller Coaster - Opryland 25: Thunder Run - SFKK 50: Beastie - PKI 75: Superman: Ride of Steel - SFNE 100: Millenium Force - Cedar Point 125: Ravine Flyer 3 - Waldameer 150: Demon - SFGAm 175: Stampida Red - PortAventura And I'm trying to make X #200. -Julie EDIT: My #69 was Canobie Corkscrew...pretty appropriate since it has the word screw right there in the name.
  12. Ok, here's mine -Julie Rob*bert!
  13. Someone give him a "thread of the week" award! hahahaha -Julie
  14. Sledgehammer at PCW EDIT: Crap! I replied to the one that was out of sequence! -Julie
  15. Ok, I don't know what the hell this is, but I just officially added Heide to my Germany trip next year because of it! Awesome! The more I see, the more I can't wait for this DVD hahaha -Julie
  16. Hmm...reminds me of a certain Haunted Mansion ride from this past March. Good times. Good times. -Julie
  17. Yes! That's it! And a couple of minutes of research shows that they made it for regular NES, so I'll probably be hunting for it on eBay shortly! haha I can almost smell the Sir Pizza by just looking at that photo. Thanks!! -Julie
  18. Hey, since this is a related topic... Does anyone know the name of the arcade game from the 80s where you had a gun, and had to shoot the criminals that popped up in windows, while avoiding the civilians? Anyone remember the name of this game?? -Julie
  19. ^ It's trying to sell you HEAD ON...which you APPLY DIRECTLY TO THE FOREHEAD hahaha While I think it's a very annoying commercial, I always thought it got the point across clearly until now! Especially with the slow motion application video that plays during the voice over! -Julie
  20. ^ Gah, I can't even afford a home, much less a vacation home! haha But if I could afford it...sure! -Julie
  21. Wow, I can't believe that Nashville made someone's list, even if it was down at #9. Obvioulsy I don't see what he sees! I still hold that the Electric Umbrella patio is my favorite place, but after visiting Spain, I am putting Tarifa, Spain right up there near the top too. Something about that city made me fall in love with it. And as for where I want to go...well, honestly, Rothenburg, Germany is right up there at the top of the list right now! That will probably change the next time I pick up a travel guide at the library though! -Julie
  22. ^ Do the lines for X get shorter towards the end of the day, like lines do at other parks? I'll be there one evening then the next morning...I'm wondering if it would be smarter to clean up as many small wait credits there as I can, then wait in whatever line X has at the end of the night. That way we could run for Deja Vu or Tatsu the next morning when everyone else runs to X. Thoughts? -Julie
  23. Ok, what's the best deal on Carowinds tickets out there right now? I'm looking at the "pay once get in twice" ticket since I am planning on an evening and a morning in the park. But my mom will probably only go one day. Are there any soda can or fast food discounts that beat the $34 online pre-purchase price? Thanks! -Julie
  24. Not sure about me, but I know someone else who looks like someone! So who do I look like? Someone here said Julia Louis Dreyfus, but I think that was just because of having a similar name, and I had a similar expression to one she had in a photo of her. Other than that, I've never been told I look like anyone! -Julie Mr. Six equals Simon LeBon 30 years ago!!!
  25. The first two rides that come to mind are Dr. Doom's Fearfall and any Chance Chaos. Runners up would be Pirates of the Caribbean, Popeye and Bluto's Bilge Rat Barges and the Compounce Mountain Sky Ride. -Julie
