Same here. And I also hit up some reddit and Facebook people that were unhappy CP wouldn't refund their tickets. I was happy to help them out.
And after using them for a weekend, I planned another trip 2 weeks later. I'm 8 hrs away.
July 4th on MT was great. As you crested the lift hill you could see fireworks all along the horizon from all different places. KI's fireworks started going off about half way up. It was cool.
I've seen people saying the restraints (or some part of) are being replaced. I have no idea. I was hopeful it would be running next week. Luckily I got to ride a few times last year when I visited.
They have been running trains on several days the last few weeks. But, unfortunately, it's not opening soon. The coaster event in two weeks had the ERT moved to a different coaster b/c they don't expect SC to be running.
$26/ticket on ebay is another option. Or Facebook groups, etc.
Hershey has said Storm Runner will not operate this year. Website says "Closed for the Season." Don't think it's running til next Spring.
Use it now and buy another one during sales on Black Friday / Prez Day Sale / etc. Fairly unique time where you can marathon SV, Maverick and TTD over and over.
1. Currently not doing any sort of stand by. Might change. KI runs a stand-by line now some times for Orion.
2. Video explains. Most people do a fairly good job.
3. Wait times can be brutal depending on the day. 30-60 minutes for coasters without a pass. With a pass? Could be a walk on or hour and a half. Just depends.
If a ride req'ing a pass is down during your ticket hour, you can go back at 7 and ride last hour.
No shame in an afternoon nap. 100 degree weather at Holiday World...no shame that I got in the Voyage queue and then went for a nap in the car.
