  1. If you can make it during the week next week or the week after you may not see lines. This week was dead. I mean, most rides didn't have a queue this week. LR yesterday never showed anything but 0 wait.
  2. Starting tomorrow, no more temp checks. Moving markers to 3 feet distancing.
  3. SWSA did a premium addon to their Reserved Shows + QQ that included a trip on Stingray. I'm going to guess the new rides are a premium single QQ or a premium add-on for awhile after opening.
  4. It's been together for a month or two. Last of the paint job was finished a couple/few weeks ago. No word from the park but it's been assumed Memorial Day for awhile. Who knows, though.
  5. The museum is good stuff if you've never walked through. They have some things from when it was SDC and a lot of Dolly's items. Grammys, Emmys, etc all on display. Her popularity has been on an upswing. https://www.irishexaminer.com/lifestyle/artsandculture/arid-40186524.html https://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/tv/features/dolly-parton-netflix-heartstrings-9-5-jane-fonda-miley-cyrus-a9216661.html https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2020/10/19/the-united-states-of-dolly-parton https://www.theguardian.com/music/2019/nov/26/why-dolly-parton-is-having-a-millennial-moment
  6. Come up and see us in East TN sometime. If it's not a Friday or Saturday, I've got free Bring A Friend passes.
  7. Two different attractions. There is a Dollywood museum. Completely separate is a reproduction of her childhood home.
  8. Didn't realize that. Thanks for the info. I've only had the standard "to the top, pause and drop" that I know of. There was zero line last couple hours today. Makes sense.
  9. Seemed Drop Line was running a different cycle today. It rotated as it went up. Then, near the top it stopped lifting and did a 360. Then, it slowly starts rising and drops immediately after 5 or 10 feet. Good stuff.
  10. Reports are they are running together today at least a few times. New agreement with state. A few people have said it happened some today bit not consistently. Maybe it did, maybe it didn't. I'd like to try Z while Ka is running. Sounds fun
  11. Word is Zumanjaro and Ka have been running together. Anyone else see this? Rumors also suggest they are trying to get lap bars for Ka. Not sure how much I believe that one..
  12. That seems very Six Flags. Good they gave you a full refund after using it several times. Guess the only way around it another season pass. At $50-60 it's not a killer, but not ideal. Good updates here. Thanks for all the info.
  13. Got something against Holiday World and their top tier coasters and water park?
  14. Rumors of Dolly leaving the park have been making the rounds the last 6-12 months. I've heard it'll happen in the next few years. No idea when their current agreements end. I can't say with any certainly this is happening, but I first heard it last fall from a friend, and a couple times since then. I live in the area. Not sure how the market would react. That would be something to see. Social reaction would be wild. Wouldn't really bother me. I grew up with it being SDC. I wouldn't post this myself, but can't say I haven't heard these rumors from different friends in the area.
  15. SF Great America made it a point to let people know they couldn't double dip at HH and SF on the same day with dining after making it a separate park this year. I'm curious to know the results, though. What they say and what the app/their systems allow can sometimes be different.
  16. Coaster power hours at SFGA sound awesome. I think I'd head that way regardless. But I do love some Hershey and Skyrush.
  17. The fact they have water dummies loaded up on the train this year seems to indicate they intend to open it. And probably sooner rather than later. No real hurry on their end, park is seeing good business.
  18. Are they really planning to put these in parks that have an actual frisbee/disc ride? This seems like a janky, half assed replica of one of those and it's an upcharge? No thanks, I'll just walk across and ride MaxxAir. The fun part about the sky coasters is that first half second where you fall before the slack hits. I would imagine these go places where these other rides don't exist? Branson/Dollywood parkway? Fun Spots? Smaller regional parks?
  19. I like how they still pretend this was actually something folks needed to do.
  20. Man, I'd love to do that. People pay good money to walk up lift hills and they got to walk it for free.
  21. I suspect Carowinds opening weekend will be really busy. And they close a little earlier. Not a bad day for FL there at all.
  22. Cedar Fair: No more temp checks, all rides should be a full capacity, no facemasks outside or if under age 10. Sounding good Cedar Fair. Good work.
  23. How do they not realize faster food would mean more money for the park? It really should be a top priority and with internet ordering, more people can cook. I heard it was slightly better today food wise. It blows my mind I can enter my order on the mobile app in about a minute or two with customization, drink selection, discount applied, etc. It takes the kid at the registers 5+ minutes for each order. SF mobile ordering is actually pretty nice when it works and the workers pay attention.
