Knott's Berry Farm.
Will be in CA for a two-week vacation in June. Looking forward to it!

I’m personally psyched with this layout. It’s basically what you’d get if you took out the two lamest parts of Fury (the shallow hill after the stall-dive thingy and the helix) and that’s perfectly fine with me.
This is exactly what I was thinking. Fury325 has a couple of parts that just seem unnecessary and don't add much. This KI coaster may not be as long as Fury325, but if the fan-made rendering is close to the real thing, I'll be happy with it. It won't just feel like a "bigger Diamondback" and each coaster will have their place in the park.

Skyrush has been down for weeks and we're worried about the reopening date of Merry Dip Fun Slides and a Boomerang...
what a world.
Only one word can describe such craziness: So crazy, it's Candymonium!

So another question I have to ask here. Is this park friendly to people who are kind of on the large size? I've been on a weight loss mission since November and I'm down to 290 from 350, however I still fear I'm a bit to big for some of the rides. I tell you it was humiliating at Hershey when I had to leave the station for Fahrenheit a few years ago. I'm mostly worried about the Intamin ones though as at Hershey the only other ride I had issue in was Storm Runner.
It's not too bad. All four of the B&Ms have plus-sized seats. The Rows vary, but the seatbelts are red and on Raptor and Rougarou there are two seatbelts to attach to the OTSR instead of one. Just ask the grouper to be in the larger seat.
Maverick's restraints are pretty forgiving, but they are the same as Fahrenheit's and Storm Runner's. Are you smaller than you were when you couldn't ride Fahrenheit? Millennium Force and Dragster, it's the seatbelt that is going to get you, but the ride attendants can buckle it for you, as they have a better angle. Wicked Twister isn't very big-friendly (especially if you carry a lot of weight in the torso and chest), but you aren't missing much if you can't ride that.
I have found Steel Vengeance to be fairly kind. As mentioned before, the ride attendants have to push down the lap bar for you.
Cedar Creek Mine Ride isn't very big-friendly, but the rest of the Arrows aren't bad.
FWIW, I'm currently wearing a size 40 jeans and I was able to fit on all of the major coasters this past weekend (but I didn't try Wicked Twister or Mine Ride).
Also, try out the test seats before getting in a long line

I'm looking for some advice. I will be visiting the park for the first time on a Thursday/Friday in June.
Just looking for pointers for tackling the park. Goal is to hit up all the major coasters plus Lex Luthor. The plan is to not purchase Flash Pass, but it's always an option in the back pocket if we get desperate. I assume the park will be manageable over two days.
Other than the coasters, are there any rides or attractions that I shouldn't miss?
Any food recommendations for places that accept the all-season dining plan (ideally something beyond the standard chicken fingers, pizza, hamburger - I know, I know, it's Six Flags)?
I plan to use my one-time Flash Pass from my Platinum Membership. Which ride would make the best use of this, based on lines, merge points, etc.? My first thought was X2, unless someone has a better suggestion.
Is Apocalypse to remain closed until WCR opens?
Any other insight is appreciated.
Thanks so much!

Thanks for the nice trip report!
My son and I got into the line a little further back from you (between the restaurant and Diamondback's entrance). We looked at the line and said f*** it, knowing that it would be a long wait and we may or may not get a T-shirt anyway. We went and rode The Beast on the last non-T-shirt ride. I'm kind of glad we didn't wait if it would have been 2+ hours.

Also going to sneak preview night on Friday (our first).
For those with experience at these events, would you say they are "busy", or in this case likely to busy because of a certain new coaster that has been built.
Just looking at the timeframe for the evening and trying to figure out whether to arrive for 530pm (yay traffic on the 400!) or a bit later.
Do they do Fastlane at these preview nights?
My only similar experience is with KI's passholder preview night in 2017 (when Mystic Timbers opened). That night was crazy. People were waiting 3-4 hours for the ride. Food lines weren't even worth waiting in. The next day (actual GP opening day) seemed less crazy than the preview night. Of course, if you didn't care about riding MT on preview night, you pretty much had walk-ons on everything else.
I do remember seeing people using the FLP line on MT that night though.
YMMV, of course.

Keep in mind that it's a Spring Break week for some Florida districts (including nearby Polk County) so the park may be more crowded than normal.
This! Also Spring Break for many 'damn Yankees' who will be invading Florida for the week. I was there during that week last year (on Thursday, I believe) and the park was very crowded. As a credit whore (your words), if you want to have any time to see animals or enjoy any of the non-coaster things that this park has to offer, I would recommend budgeting for Quick Queue, in case you feel like you need it when you get there.

Skip Fun Spot Atlanta. Disclaimer: I'm not a credit counter. Seriously, SFOG has some good rides and I wouldn't take time away from this park for one lousy kid's coaster at Fun Spot. Maximize your time at SFOG that day.
Busch Gardens, you've probably been told already, but ride Cheetah Hunt and Cobra's Curse first as they will get the longest lines.

GP looking at the first drop on Steel Vengeance, "That drop is 90 degrees. Straight down. No way is that safe. I'm not riding a ride that drops straight down like that. Nope!"
(said while in line for Maverick)

From the Great Adventure thread. I've read this three times and still don't really get it.
I'm not supporting SFGAdv this year because of one thing: Cyborg doesn't get any attention anymore. If they wanted to have a ride based on a woman superhero, they could've done it before; save the ride based on a black superhero for now. (Blacks get attention before women? What kind of Earth is this?) ...And whoever gets upset over this joke is a snowflake who believes in PC.Thankfully, SFNE has a Cyborg ride opening. (With Grid in it) So I'm rooting for the Patriots while the rest of my family are rooting for the Bulls.

I have a question. I'm hoping someone may know the answer to.
I signed up to renew my Platinum Pass for 2019, but on the payment plan. Currently, my pass is not paid in full, as I hadn't planned on making any 2019 visits until Kings Island opens. However, I will be in Orange County for work next week and may have a couple of free hours. Was wondering if my Platinum pass will work at Knott's, even if it's not paid in full at this time.
Thanks!

The backwards train is a reversal on the Six Flags philosophy. Meaning they're going to start out with the ride trains operating backwards. Ten years from now they'll turn the train around facing forward and market it as a new ride.
Sweet. They can call it "Striking Copperhead" or "Copperhead: Reverse Strike"

Does anyone here know what the park's schedule is for passholder early ride time? On the website it states, "on select days".
Thanks!
