Until they start using the single-rider line properly, I'd suggest using it instead of the regular line...

Sunday is likely to be busy, Monday to be fairly light... School is still in, so there'll be some trips there, but they'll clear out in the afternoon, leaving the park virtually deserted...We're trying to plan our first trip to Canada's Wonderland. It seems that we may be at the park Sunday and Monday, June 9-10. Couple of questions:Any ideas on crowd outlook for that time of the year?
Any standard plan of attack for this park?
Any must do food items here?
Thanks in advance everyone!
Do you plan on getting Fast Lane Plus??? That'll make a difference in how you should handle the park.
Are you looking to ride every coaster at least once??? Or are you okay with not waiting in a line for a lacklustre experience when you could spend that time doing something more fun???

I'd say it's likely to not be that busy... Plus, you never know how the weather will be... If it's anything like this Thursday, it was overcast and the park was so empty they were allowing re-rides on Yukon Striker...
-
I believe they were in True North Gifts... There was Yukon Striker and some other coasters. Selection wasnt huge but they stood out as something new. If no one posts a photo by my next trip I'll try to remember to take my phone in and grab a pic or two.

I did notice more pins for sale this year, and an increase in merch variety in general. Coffee mugs/shot glasses/keychains/magnets/pins all have more selection than they did last year... It's not as good as the selection at some of the other park sin the chain, but it's still an improvement, as in some of those categories the merch has been non existent in the last few years... Also, t-shirt selection got better last year, and is only getting better... Couple years ago, shirts came with 1 of 3 subjects, Canadas Wonderland, Behemoth, Leviathan. Now I've seen shirts for Skyhawk, Lumberjack, Soaring Timbers, Flight Deck, Minebuster, Dragon Fyre, the Bat and Timberwolf Falls...
It never understood that when per capita spending is mentioned on every quarterly conference call, why the selection has been so poor... Nice to see a change...

I'd imagine single Rider going really slow on this one.
Today in the afternoon, they were letting large groups from the single rider lane through... Our train, they filled the entire 2nd row with the next 8 people from the single rider line...

If you have children of an age that believe in Santa, there's a small park themed for such a couple hours north of Wonderland geared to that. Couple small coasters, some flats, meet Santa, feed reindeer, that type of stuff.
It's only an hour and 45 up the road from CW, but no one ever goes there judging by the fact that there isn't a trip report to be found on it here.

Maybe a visit to Knobles would be a better option than La ronde. I still need to get my black diamond, impulse, and bobsled credits.
This. So much this. La Ronde is so, so, so bad, I can't even describe it. We aren't exaggerating. It's not even worth going in a 'just to say I did' way.

That's a good idea... I'd imagine the line for YS will be huge and most of the other lines fairly short...
-
If they use the usual rope off points near Flight Deck and Guardian, I think the usual rope off point by Striker will be better... As the crow flies, they're both close to the same distance from where you'd hit the bridge to YS, but the path from Guardian curves around, whereas the one from Flight Deck is pretty much a straight shot.

Bullshit. Yukon Striker isn't the tallest fastest anything
Pretty sure it is the tallest and fastest coaster named "Yukon Striker". That is good enough for me, pretty sure it will be good enough for a large proportion of Wonderland visitors this year. Does it really matter otherwise?
Nope, a lot of the people coming through the gate are gonna eat it up, and isn't that the point?

Why go for new experiences you may or may not enjoy, when you can go re-experience some places you've already been??? Think back to some of your favorite trips, and go again...

On the edge of the parking lot?
On busy days, they run out of parking lot as it is... The lot is bordered by road on the North, South and East and by the park on the West...

Another new thing announced is the gold pass which will include Halloween Haunt and Winterfest. From reading the benefits, looks like they are taking things away from the regular season pass. Early entry will be for Gold and Platinum pass holders now. Its about time they offered more things for higher level pass holders
According to the CW website, Regular Season Pass holders will still get ERT...
-
Lol, why so early??? Guess I don't have to worry about being there for it...
-
Buy it for yourself... Ride the ride through the Fast Lane line while they wait with everyone else... When they get close to the station, just wait for them in the station...
-
What time is the announcement??? I can't be there all day, but if I know what time I can be there for it...
-
I am hoping the bugs are gone by the time we go in three weeks but it is whatever if they are still there.
Is the floating fluffy, fluffy bunny filled with medicine and goo something that Cedar Point is really doing? where I can just take my stuff and drop it in one next to each ride all day for one payment. If it is can I sign up at any of the rides that require storage or will I need to do this at the entrance of the park?
Using the floating lockers today because we are weak and can't resist souvenirs... The lockers are easy to use, and 10 bucks a day ain't that bad for access to a locker when/where I need... You can get the moveable locker at any bank of ride lockers... They're a decent size I think, but we travel light (couple hats and a souvenir cup)... If you are a backpacker, YMMV...
Still before they keep making new rules, I'd like to see better enforcement for the rules they already have...
-
Honestly, I don't think it's worth responding to... And I think anyone who implies that the way you have fun isn't the right way to have fun is too narcissistic to listen/consider your opinion anyway...
-
Wasn't having your phone out on a ride also a crime??? And wasn't it practically unenforced???
-
It just irritates me that the park wasn't willing to enforce the rule they had, so they had to make up more rules...
And are the people who broke the 'no phones out on the ride' rule going to listen to the 'no phones in your pocket' rule anyway???
-
That's horrible news about Skyhawk... 80% of the riders couldn't flip it to begin with...
-
I was very disappointed that Herman didn't make an appearance in WMG...

I think there is a pretty big difference in the amount of trains they dispatch per hour though...
