  1. My one visit to SFGAdv I planned to be on a Wednesday in the middle of the summer hoping for minimal lines (this was college budget time so flash pass was not an option unfortunately). Almost everything except Batman seemed to have an hour wait at least on a Wednesday. We were there from open to close and only rode Green Lantern, Superman, El Toro twice, Kingda Ka twice, Bizarro, Nitro, and Batman. Granted it was a ton of fun regardless. El Toro was just absolutely amazing. But I agree the crowd levels definitely do not appear to be predictable for this park.

  2. It's not really a matter of screen based rides as I love Transformers, Spiderman, Curse of Darkastle, and I really enjoyed Gringotts, it just seems like USO is becoming saturated with screen based attractions.

Yeah, I get that. It just didn't bother us. I even went in with those complaints in the back of my head and it didn't bother us.

I think part of that is that we pretty much like everything and we're really not as critical as most, and I get the complaint and see how that could bother people but I really don't mind it at all. I think the vast majority of the rides at Universal are amazing (even the ones that generally get less enthusiastic reviews from the community).

I think honestly at the end of the day whenever I go to the park I won't care I'll just have fun as I typically try to do at parks.

  3. I've heard the complaints about screens and it's a legitimate complaint but they never really bothered me. I thought Kong was awesome, I'm sure I'll love this too. I don't care about the franchise at all but that rarely matters at Universal. I don't know anything about King Kong or Transformers either and I liked those rides.

It will never actually stop me from going to the parks in the future especially once nintendo stuff starts showing up. I am bitter they took out Dragon Challenge because I think amazing intense B&M Inverts should exist as long as possible damn it! Also I need to really go and experience the other great Florida parks because as of right now Universal is the only two parks I have been to in Florida (except a weird freak visit to Typhoon Lagoon when i was 7 years old).

  4. ^No lie that also makes justifying a Carowinds trip difficult for me as well. I’ve been several times I’ve never ridden Fury 325 because I haven’t been since 2012 and still knowing that when I go it’s like “alright we rode Fury, I232, and Afterburn......now what? Nighthawk?” I mean sure there certainly is still fun to be had but man does it drop off hard in quality after those three.

  5. How quickly does Tempesto tend to build up a line at Busch Gardens? My thought for next Friday is that I should hit InvadR first and then work counterclockwise, but was trying to determine if I should bypass Alpengeist, Griffon, and Verbolten in the morning and hit them later.

I would think on a Friday in April nowadays Tempesto won't get much more than a station wait. When I went to the park on Easter both Tempesto and Apollo's Chariot had station waits. Tempesto spilled a tiny bit into its queue sometimes.

  6. Great reports for my two home parks! It is nice being a Virginian with KD and BGW less than 2 hours from where I sleep (and some kind of Six Flags park I've only been to once that doesn't interest me really up in Maryland). Alpengeist was my first ever WoS from a coaster. I could of rode the big boy seats but I was literally sitting in the front ready to go and I wasn't downgrading to the 5th row. I like Tempesto a lot which makes me eager to ride a Sky Rocket II without the obviously useless and silly comfort collars.

  7. Phoenix is so high on my bucket list right now I may need to make the 4 hour day trip to Knoebels just to get a few laps. Also because I've never been to Knoebels and people frequently sing its praises which makes me want to go real bad. A little concerned I may not be good for a majority of all the other rides there (like Impulse) but the airtime buffet may be worth it alone .

  8. I agree a little but only because I have no plans to visit CP this year, while I'll definitely be heading down to Georgia to ride this. Also I think its a little bit of CP having this amazing mindblowing lineup to begin with, while SFOG's lineup is solid for a what it is and is really underrated. I love that this awesome little SF park is getting an RMC and I'm so stoked to ride it and everything else there later this year.

Agree 100%. I have never been to SFOG so this just adds to the list of reasons to go there asap. Cedar Point I would of been more than willing and excited to go to regardless of whether Steel Vengeance was added or if they tore down Mean Streak and built a B&M or something less insane than an RMC. (They could of added "Ocean Snoopy" and I would still go there ).
