But Thunder rapids opened the same year as viper.
-
Wait isn't that RMC repair from 2011? Because the ride itself wasn't retraked just a few supports.
-
This would be the 2nd time in six years then.
-
Has anyone else noticed all that new wood on predator, it's brighter than the rest and there's more bundless at the end of the path where RoS is.
-
Thunder rapids is AALLLIVE.....I assume.

Bravo thank you, and my family will be happy for that motocoaster uptade!
-
That's one log has been there for weeks now, they could be moving it hopefully..... Any pictures of the inside.

For the rumored 2018/19 coaster.
1. The screamscape rumor
2. The construction markers. Is it possible that they are removing the rotting theater by viper? Or making it an indoor one like Rock Bottom Plunge.
3. The 55th annaversary for the park.
4. They got nothing major this year and a small waterslide last year.
-
What if this rumored German coaster will be indoors, and peeks outdoors?
-
Yesterday the ops on RoS were averaging about 1:45. ME was between 2-5 mins. Boomerang was 2 mins. Moto coaster took all freaking day. Viper was a good 1:30. Predator was moving swift due to the lack of riders.

Moto coaster has been broken down for a while now (since sunday as far as I know) and vipers had a hour long line on Sunday, Aso did every other ride execpt for boomerang. I rode slingshot and it was fun, worth every penny. And it got really cloudy ad cold around 4 or so, so we left.

^ Viper's 35th Anniversary celebration is set to be June 29tb, which is this upcoming Thursday. The park hasn't given any information on what they're doing aside from the fact that on that date they're gonna do something. I'm imagining some sort of speech by Chris Thorpe infront of the ride entrance - similar to Millennium Force's 10th anniversary party at CP, maybe some sales on Viper gear, and perhaps a few snake themed decorations around the viper plaza. I was hoping the last ark would begin to give some info on the event before now, since they have it on the back of the park map. But who knows except the event coordinators what to really expect out of this thing.
Thanks for the info

Are the viper festivities tomorrow? I'm going there,

First of all, moto coaster had a very intense launch when I went on, and second I see a basketball, third I think they were running thunder rapids and then the pump broke and they are replacing the pipes hence why the boat got stuck.

I agree that the staff is getting way to much hate, I've encountered some rude employees but never have I thought that they're just sitting around. They are doing there jobs, form the food staff, to the maintenance.

It's sad to see the park is losing rides. When I walked past Thunder Rapids it was looking like the boats were missing, can you confirm this? And twister was open on the 26th a belive but no one was really riding it, I got on and it had that cycle where the brakes never engage, and the holding part at the end never happened, it just kind of tilted and then the brakes just gave out!
Edit: I corrected Ned to end because google chromes spellchecker is broken and it autocorrects words that have been spelled right into jibberish so I'll be trying to fix it.

^ When you're going through your photos to post can you see if your phone has spellchecker or autocorrect?
I will edit that post as my spellchecker doesn't work very well on chrome

Sunday turned out to be great day, so we left for the park and got our passes. we immediately went to Haymaker, we expected to ride silver bullet but it was closed. We rode Viper and it was running smoothly, we then tried strike-me-up and rolling thunder. we basically rode everything counterclockwise execpt for RoS that's our last ride but it had a decent sized line so we skipped it and left. Yesterday we went to fantasy island. I'll might post pictures.

Is ride of steel open? I'm heading out in a few minutes.
-
Is it bad that I like the vekomas of the park? I grew up on them and I'll always have a soft spot for them, they're not my favorite but they're pretty fun.

Though the weather was much nicer today than last weekend, when I dropped by for a visit to Darien Lake today, once again, Ride of Steel was closed all day. I'm not sure what's wrong with it, or if perhaps it's just down for staffing purposes but it's been a bit of a shame to have visited Darien Lake without being able to ride the park's superstar coaster. Here's to hoping Friday will be different...
It seems to be staffing because if it were weather or brakedown they would have ops in the station, then agian it could be a problem and they can't run the ride.

Welcome you darien lake week two.
