Cedar Point, Kings Dominion, SFGAdv, BGT, SFMM, Fuji-Q, and Liseberg.
Mirabilandia just needs one more solid coaster (They already have iSpeed & Katun. Just need one more non-crappy coaster), and then that'd definitely be one of the best collections ever.

Well, I've ridden A LOT more hyper coasters since this post. So....time to update the list. Anything bold, I've ridden since my original post.
1. Expedition Ge Force - So much variety. So much airtime. It's as good as everyone claims
2. Superman (SFNE) - I heard this ride went downhill when it went back to being Superman, which makes me sad since I loved it as Bizarro. Lots of great airtime, and that twisty section at the end was great.
3. Phantom's Revenge - A ton of airtime, nice custom layout. Love the 2nd drop
* .Intamin Mega-Lites (Piraten & Kawesami) - I know most people consider the Mega-Lites to be too small. But...they're not too much smaller than something like Steel Eel, which also fails the 200 ft mark. Didn't officially rank it, but this is where I'd put it. And besides, the Mega-Lites are amazing rides.
4. Goliath (SFOG) - Best B&M Hyper (Not counting Gigas cause then Fury 325 would be way up there). Downward Helix on Goliath > Upward Helix on Nitro.
5. Behemoth - Really good B&M Hyper
6. Diamondback - Another really good B&M Hyper
7. Nitro - Yet another really good B&M Hyper
8. Fujiyama - Very underrated ride. Really good airtime, and some strong laterals. I don't care about the coat-hanger transitions at the end! Big thumbs up!
9. Magnum XL 200 - Love the ejector air on the bunny hops back. I don't care if its brutal and hurts.
10. Steel Eel - A small, but fun ride.
11. Intimidator - Whether the trims are on or off will really make a difference with this ride
12. Superman: Ride of Steel (SFA) - While it does have some strong airtime, there's too much straight track and dull moments. That giant helix might as well be straight track.
13. Thunder Dolphin - The setting in the middle of Tokyo is what makes this ride. The layout itself is kind of bland. Great first drop, but the rest of the ride feels really constrained and boxed in. Would be much lower if not for the stunning view of Tokyo and....being in Tokyo.
14. Raging Bull - Love the first drop. Would be so much better without that trim on the 3rd hill.
15. Apollo's Chariot - This ride is fun. Has some decent floater air. But man. This is an overrated B&M Hyper
16. Goliath (La Ronde) - Not the best, but it's a fun ride.
17. Silver Star - It may be my least favorite B&M Hyper, but I still enjoyed it. Plus, I'm at freaking Europa Park. Best park ever!
18. Desperado - Hey. I find it underrated. It's not nearly as rough as people make it out to be.
19. Hollywood Dream - Oh yeah. Forgot about this B&M Hyper. I take back what I said about Silver Star. Fun little mini-hyper. Oh, and make sure you ride it backwards as Backdrop. SO MUCH BETTER that way!
20. Titan (SFOT) - Twisty bits and helixes are fun, but airtime is really what hyper coasters are for.
21. Goliath (SFMM) - It's Titan, only missing a helix.
22. Steel Force - Sorry, but I just did not care for the Morgan Trio. Eh, at least it had some airtime.
23. Mamba - Another one of the Morgan Trio. It has some head choppers.
24. Wild Thing - The final addition of the Morgan Trio.
25. Bandit (Youmiriland) - Don't really think of this as a hyper coaster. But other people are ranking it, and I suppose it counts as a Mini-Hyper. So might as well rank it. Fun ride. But nothing too special. Then again, I might be speaking better of it if I got more than 1 ride on it.

I've been able to ride Tango at California Fairs for the past few years (definitely agree with you about it being one of the best flat rides ever) and haven't had any problems with it being unreliable or always breaking. But from the way you describe them at other parks, they definitely seem unreliable over there. Perhaps the Ray Cammack Show one is in much better shape than the rest since that one reliably runs.

I don't hate Boomerangs nearly as much as other enthusiasts, but there's a couple reasons these rides get a bad rep.
Mainly, they can hurt. I'm assuming you've only done the one Boomerang in Chile, but some of them can be REALLY bad. And even then, most aren't really that good. Sure, there are a couple good ones, and most aren't THAT bad, but the ones that are bad, are REALLY bad.
Also, if you travel a lot for roller coasters, Boomerangs can be pretty repetitive and something that you've done before. I tend to think of them (along with SLCs) as the Starbucks or McDonalds of roller coasters. Even with coaster layouts that I really like, such as Batman: the Ride, or those Premier Sky Rockets, they're a ton of fun, but I tend to prefer custom stuff.

Hotels: Ideally I would like to stay in the city centers of Tokyo, Nagoya, Kyoto and Hiroshima. I would be looking for comfortable, clean, private (secure) accommodations. Doesn’t have to be luxurious, or spacious. These pod hotels, even if bathroom showers are shared? It is possible to get under a $100, or $75 a night?
Absolutely, those pod hotels are incredibly cheap. I stayed at the Grids Akihabara hotel, which charges around $25-30 a night. You don't have a ton of space, but you'll probably be out all day, so just having a bed and a shared bathroom should be fine. It's in Akihabara, only a 5 minute walk from the JR Akihabara station and all the cool stuff Akihabara has. Also, Grids is a big Pod Hotel chain in Japan and they have hotels in other cities that are similarly priced.
Aside from that, everything else I have to suggest, people have already mentioned.
1. Get the Rail Pass. Worth every yen, and the trains in Japan are so reliable.
2. As long as you learn the bare minimum amount of Japanese and try, you should be fine language-wise.
3. Definitely keep looking at airfare prices. I only paid $500 for a (non-direct) roundtrip flight from LAX to Narita. Granted, I'm not sure which city you're flying out of, so it may be more expensive. But I'm pretty sure not $2500 expensive.
4. I'd also try and swing by Tobu Zoo. Kawasemi (as well as all the Intamin Mega-Lites) is really good.

My biggest piece of advice is to not put off a trip because you're worried that they're going to get something new for 2020 or 2021. Parks are always gonna be adding something new. Sure, if it's a place you've been before, you can wait for a big announcement, but I highly recommend going to a really cool place you've never been before, even if they're gonna get something new next year.
For instance, Nagashima Spaland is getting Hakugei next year, but I don't regret not putting off Japan for a second to wait for it. Sure, it'll probably be really good. But it's just yet another thing to look forward to when coming back to Japan.
You've already listed 7 trip ideas that are all really good contenders. I highly suggest just picking one of them and doing that next year without worrying about if they're gonna get something for 2020 or 2021. Even if a park gets something new after you visit, just another reason to go back.
-
2019 is gonna be a much smaller year for me than this year, but this is what I've got planned.
Defiantly:
Six Flags Magic Mountain
Knotts Berry Farm
Disneyland
Disney's California Adventure
Sea World San Diego
Six Flags Discovery Kingdom
Six Flags America
Dollywood
Carowinds
Busch Gardens Williamsberg
Kings Dominion
Possibly:
Six Flags Over Texas
Oaks Park

Cyclone @ Toshimaen this Thursday. Nothing special about the ride itself, but man. Japan is amazing!
2020 TPR Coaster Poll!
in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Posted
Considering that 2020 was the first year in forever that I rode new coasters, this was super easy. Still got to add West Coast Racers since I got that very late 2019, but it opened too late for the 2019 Rankings. But even so, updating my 2020 Coaster Submission took less than 5 minutes.
