  1. ^ I noticed that coaster as well as the park itself gets a lot of hype even more then Cedar Point at times it seems. I never been there so I wouldn't know of course but why does that park get so much hype? I'm genuinely curios by the way Im not trying to put the place down I'm just wondering. My favorite wooden coaster so far is Goliath at Great America but I'm sure it will change in the future hopefully(Im looking at you El toro Lightning Rod or future Mean Streak!)

  2. ^ Yea i read that a few times too actually but wasnt sure if it was true or exaggerated. A lot of elderly people admitted how coasters of there time pretty blew a lot of todays coasters away. However again I assumed they were exaggerating! Well if they are right that kind blows that they tamed down most coasters rather then intensify them....Im sure we can blame it on our sue happy society....Its a shame really. It also seems like the older coasters that are from that era that are still around just happen to be the tamer ones. As I never hear people say how those coasters beat many modern ones. Isnt there one in Knobels thats like that though?? One of the rougher grand daddies? But for real if what the elderly said is true,it must mean we mostly became to soft or/and sue happy.

  3. ^^ Woah. That looks like it would be epic! The Strat coaster. I know its out of reach in reality as of now but I honestly cant wait for 1000 foot tall coasters with straight down drops. Heck who knows if it will ever happen at all! Still its fun to imagine. Im guessing it would be to much on the body but back in the day....lets day the early 1900s I doubt they would be able to handle the coasters we have now. But now we have built up a tolerance through out years and now look at the coasters we have now that might of not been imagined 110 or so years ago...

  4. ^^ Gimmicky or not Top Thrill is awesome! It gives you such a rush!

This. Whether or not Dragster is good seems like a fairly divisive topic among coaster enthusiasts, but I'm firmly in the "Top Thrill Dragster is awesome!" camp and that's why. Sure, it's pretty brief, but godDAMN if it ain't one hell of a shot of adrenaline. Also, being on a coaster where you look DOWN on Millennium Force borders on transcending reality

When i was on Top Thrill I dont remember looking at M-force but you do bring a good point! Im sure it is some what dwarfed when up on the tip top of Top Thrill. Imagine that! Now take a coaster like Maverick that REALLY would be dwarfed by Top Thrill! If you placed the two coasters side to side,TTD would probably make Maverick look like a kiddie coaster. But its interesting how its smaller then most of CP's coasters but sure does pack a punch! CP generally has a good collection of coasters so I really cant wait for the new MS.

  5. ^^ Gimmicky or not Top Thrill is awesome! It gives you such a rush! I do admit the drop isnt what I thought it was gonna be. Kind of of "tame" for a coaster that fast high and steep but still was fun and unique. Of course its more to do with the speed and height alone. It gives such a weird feeling force to your body its really fun. The first time I went on it,it kind of put me in shock and I didnt realize i was screaming so loud that the person (random person) who happen to be next to me looked at me But I hardly see RMCs as gimmicky they are pretty a new modern breed of epic coaster! Also they last a lot longer then Top Thrill and have more to them.

  6. Not only are they stupid but they are kind of selfish too. I know accidents happen but why bring alcohol to a kiddie area anyways?? It looks like the kids area is up and front so parents can watch from side line on lounge chairs and not have to be so close to the kiddie pool. If they want to interact with their kids then they should put the bottle down for a while and spend time with their child! If they dont have children with them then thats REALLY stupid! Why would you be hanging around in a kiddie area drinking then anyways?? Sucks for the people who paid to take their kids there and then the night be ruined by irresponsible people like that....

I don't even know where to begin with this sh*t...

How come everytime i try to join in conversations i get shot down for it? Its getting old really quick! Stop already please

I'm guessing he's just tired of your repetitive off topic rambling. I'm also guessing he's not alone. Or, maybe we can continue to discuss broken glass in non amusement park kiddie pools, if you really feel that's so relevant to the Cedar Point Discussion Thread. By all means, please continue. Hell, if you feel it's necessary, we can also start a lynch mob and bring justice to the guy who made a dumb mistake.

I dont know about you but if you go that route bringing up the whole hotel pool was off topic in the first place! Just saying....a hotel pool is nothing to do with Cedar Point...so if you want to get on people for being off topic do it to all people who start talking about random stuff that has nothing to do with Cedar Point. I seen it happen many times in this thread. I mean what does cargo pants got to really do with Cedar Point?? Not like it matters what is talked about in here I can care less, but im just saying. Also about the ramblings...its an online forum not an in person face to face conversation. Online conversation works different then real life conversation in case you didnt know. Also I have no interest to continue talking about broken glass I was just giving my simple one time opinion about said event. That is all. It was a one time deal. Im pretty sure if no one quoted me and brought it back up Id probably would of forgotten the said convo already. Its a forum about amusement parks it suppose to be fun and relaxed not something thats super formulated. Anyways I wish to end this conversation now as Im done. I'd want to continue talking about RMC Meanstreak thats far more interesting then critiquing strangers social skills.

I hope there is a zero G stall too. I enjoy it alot on the Goliath. Also since there is no OTSR and just a lap bar it makes all the more thrilling! This is what i hope will be on the new MS. Of course the big tall steep drop, the 0 G stall, air time hills, the banked turn into a drop element,a few other unique RMC signature inversions too of course. I think Outlaw Run's inversions look awesome although I never been on it. I mean cork screws on a wooden roller coaster? How awesome is that! But whatever it is as long as its super fun and thrilling ill be happy with it. Its RMC im sure it will be good no matter what. Like I said i only been on one but I hear a lot of good about RMC,so im sure it will be epic!

  7. I love RMC inversion even if i only been on one RMC. Something about them is unique and makes them different from typical steel coaster inversions. However it sooooo should have the air time hills too! Especially ejector airtime! Floating air is fun but it doesnt give the same thrill ejector does. Its pretty much "weeeee im flying*giggle giggle giggle*!!" vs "OMFG!!! I feel like im gonna get thrown from this coaster!!!!!" Now if its long lasting floater air that last most of the ride thats a different story. As for the RMC over banked turns those are fun too. Not as the other two elements i mentioned but still fun and unique for a wooden roller coaster. Its cool when a over banked turn turns into a drop and combineds the two.

  8. Sadly Mantu was closed when I went last year. It looks like it would of been a really awesome ride though! Their newer coaster wasnt't opened yet either. I did go on Kumba of course. It had a lot of intense inversions it was pretty awesome. The first drop was very "meh" kind of boring but the inversions were nice and intense and fun. Sheikra has the great drops but not as intense inversion. So both coasters are fun in their own way but if i had to pick I'd go with Sheikra as my all time favorite coaster element is the intense stomach dropping drops. I also went on Cheetah Hunt. I really enjoyed the launches and Falcon Fury is my all time favorite drop ride! Maybe not be the most intense drop in the world but looking straight down is so epic! Love it!

  9. Not only are they stupid but they are kind of selfish too. I know accidents happen but why bring alcohol to a kiddie area anyways?? Anyways..........RMC! Yes I prefer them with all the wacky inversions myself. An RMC without them would be weird. I think its cool if they combined both the airtime hills and inversions. I dont call them gimmicky....its what makes the RMCs so unique and stand out from other coasters.

  10. Not only are they stupid but they are kind of selfish too. I know accidents happen but why bring alcohol to a kiddie area anyways?? 11. I got from Florida a week ago. The first few days or so was nice not to bad for Feb in Chicago but now itss back to its old self...bleh! Wish i was back in Florida or I hate winter-time even if there isnt snow the cold weather is still crappy. Winter sucks!

  12. I hope it will be one of the most extreme if not the most extreme coaster in the world! Then again I dont want to get my hopes up and be disappointed if its not. I often see much older folks in the youtube comments mention how the coasters of their days were super intense and how you wouldnt see any coaster like it these days. For example how many people said the Bobs in Riverview would of been the most extreme coaster if it was still around. Clearly we all know thats most like an exaggeration. Especially since we do have super extreme coasters now that would blow those older defunct ones out of the water! But if RMC Meanstreak was going to be the worlds most intense coaster I bet it will get those elderly people regret ever saying how those old coasters put our modern coasters to shame! Heck now even before the RMC meanstreak we all dream of is existing there is a lot of "omg im gonna diiiieee!!! coasters out there now that are modern. It would be interesting to see how those older people would think of a coaster like I305,Fury325,El Toro,KK,Top Thrill, the new Meanstreak etc. I just assume they thought that because older coasters didnt need the lapbars and seatbelts we have one coasters now.So lack of restraints made said rides a lot scarier then they really were. Todays extreme coasters you would most likely be ejected from the ride without modern restraints!

  13. As much as opening days for new coasters are neat and all I'd never plan to go then. Just because of that reason. The enormously long lines! You wasted most of the day waiting for 6 or so hours. Even if you have a season pass and can go to the park any time you want,it still would very extremely boring not to mention uncomfortable(such as heat, standing that long, etc). But hey if you are willing to spend a whole day just to wait in line for mostly one ride more power to you I guess. It just wouldnt be my idea of fun, lol. Opening days are nice and all I'm sure but its not like the roller coaster is going anywhere. It will be there for many days, weeks, months, years, etc to come!

...........................<------This would be some of the looks of a super long line.

  14. As i mentioned before I never been here before but its nice to see what coasters are top tier here. I noticed Superman is often middle or low tier which im kind of surprised because looking at this pics and POVs it looks epic! Super tall fast and steep but I can see why it may not be a favorite as its most likely to short. Usually the longer last coaster is the best! (That is if its good) X2,Tatsu,and Goliath look epic too though.I never been on a coaster like X2 before looks really unique and awesome!
