  1. Too bad I'll be at Dorney tomorrow. I would love to be there for the announcement of what I hope is an RMC Hurler. Wouldn't be too surprised to NOT see it happen though. Regardless of what it could be, I'm excited.

Wasn't Dorney was supposed to get a GCI called Heavy Lumber sometime in the near future?

What the hell. No. Even if they were supposed to get a Gci it definitely wouldn't have been called Heavy Lumber.

  2. I'm not expecting a big addition since there hasn't been any teasing or speculation, but here are the top 7 additions I would like to see in 2017:

    1. Rmc roar (unlikely)

    2. Wild one's 100th anniversary with new paint and track work

    3. A new flat ride (Sky screamer)

    4. Gotham city retheme and whistlestop park transformed to dc super friends

    5. Jokers jinx backwards (idk if this is possible but this would be great)

    6. Apocalypse turned into a floorless (the ride would still be mediocre but 10x better, no head banging, and more ridership...they'll probably add VR next year anyways)

    7. Minderaser and superman receive new trains

I believe Superman got new trains recently. But your predictions were pretty good. Wayyyy better than the KD thread.

  3. I acutally don't think we'll see a JL:BFM, I could acutally see a custom dark ride. The competition is extremely stiff in the SoCal dark ride department, and while its super good at parks like SFstL, its mainly due to the fact that their isn't a ton of stuff to compare it too. So I could see them customizing it (maybe removing the shooting part) and giving it a new name, possibly Justice League: Battle for Gotham City. Just my thoughts. I originally thought we'd see a custom dark ride and some flats, but since they said RIDE (not rides) I'm now leaning towards a Movie District retheme with a customized dark ride

Battle for Gotham city. If it were to be custom it would probably just be a little longer and would Probably just be called JL the ride.

  4. ^ You can probably do the whole park in a day w/o their sh*tty flash pass if you are strategic and skip the stuff in the front of the park (Skyrush, etc) til later and go right to Fahrenheit and Laff Trakk. If you get those out of the way early you can certainly get everything else in. Hershey is a great park (the best! imo) so yes its worth a 2 hour drive.

Or you could drive 30 mins and visit six flags America where there is practically no lines and cheaper than hp.

  5. Well, construction logistics would dictate that a new, from scratch, major steel coaster is probably not the 2017 attraction for Kings Dominion. I305 construction started with land clearing and grading in early June. I don't see that happening for next year. Plus, if a major coaster was to replace Hurler in 2017, don't you think the existing ride would have been torn down by now?

It seems more reasonable to focus on Hurler getting a makeover. Who does the work and to what extent, remains to be seen. I would fathom that most of everyone's questions will be answered this Saturday.

My best guess is a Hurler makeover for 2017 as the main draw. There could be some secondary stuff thrown in for 2017.

Finish PTC Carousel restoration (maybe band organ restored and playing). 100th anniversary of this ride [1917-2017].

West end of Candy Apple Grove gets makeover. Finish replacing asphalt with brick pavers / new landscaping.

Maybe a addition of an golden oldie flat ride or two.

Action Theater gets something like what CGA or Carowinds received this year (Mass Effect or Plants vs. Zombies)

That's approximately what I think. RMC Hurler, Mass Effect, Candy Apple

Grove upgrades, and possibly that refurbished enterprise from Valleyfair.

That's really asking for a lot.

Not really. The RMC is the only expensive one. Adding Mass Effect, visual upgrades, and an old ride are relatively peanuts.

Mass effect is probably not as cheap as you think. And a park would never do all of that stuff in one year. That would be very overwhelming.

  7. I see a very poor year for Cedar Fair parks. attractions older than 30 years passed off as new, as patriot to great america. Winterfest (on paper) a flop announced

Speak for yourself. Back before Hunt Midwest sold Worlds of Fun to Cedar Fair, the park got a new attraction in both Worlds of Fun and Oceans of Fun each year. That usually meant a new flat ride and a new water slide/splash feature. I have absolutely no problem with the addition of a Troika and and a Condor to the park's line up. Both attractions are unique to the area and they will add to one of the best flat ride collections in the country.

Winterfest is a wait and see. Obviously since it is 2 years out (for all intents and purposes) WOF will have time to figure out exactly how they want to approach this. With the best amusement park Christmas festival in the country being just down the road at SDC, they'll have to figure out their niche instead of trying to go head-to-head with SDC completely.... and we know that the WOF event will be better done than whatever SF is adding for this year

So most of six flags St. Louis for holiday in the park vs a couple of rides at worlds of fun. I think I'd take Six flags

I didn't realize they had released the ride line up for an event that will take place in 2017 (they haven't). BUT, if that makes you feel better about being a SFStL fanboy, then more power to you

I'm not a sfstl fanboy. Never been there. And based on the given information that must make you a WoF fanboy but anyways All I'm saying is that based on the other cf parks they have said they will do a few rides but not a lot.

  9. Hi to all, me and my family going to travel to U.S.A next month, we are staying for 3 weeks in Baltimore and what to visit some touristic attractions there, Im thinking about Six Flags America in Upper Marlboro.

I want to know if some of you know where can I find information for guests with disabilities? or if you had a similar experience on a park.

    Thanks a lot!

Well first off Sean I am very happy you are interested in Six Flags Anerica as we don't get a lot of attention. So on the website I'm pretty sure there is some information about guest with disabilities. If not you can always call the park. You can also visit guest services when you arrive in the park and they can assist you. I have visited the park with a family member who has a disability. They gave that person a pass to use at some of the rides. Based on the disability However there will be some rides that person can't get on. If you don't view six flags as a viable option I would be glad to show you other attractions in the area.
