  1. In my opinion none of the Alton secret weapons have been 'half arsed' or 'not properly themed' neither have any of of them been significantly delayed? I think it will go down a family route, it's what the towers needs right now and I think it will be in merlins best interest after the smiler. Also all advertising of the SW8 area points towards a pirate family theme. I think whatever this is it will be massively overshadowed by Blackpools 2018 coaster in terms of ride experience but merlin will kill it with advertising and marketing.
  2. If it doesn't have a launch its really going to meander through. Not that that's a bad thing if they are going for a more family orientated ride. Fingers crossed its more of a thrill coaster!
  3. So there's been a few updates since this thread was last looked at! Firstly Amanda Thompson (park owner) took part in an Interview with a local paper which can be found here http://www.blackpoolgazette.co.uk/news/amanda-we-have-an-amazing-story-to-tell-1-7876786 Quote from the article; Also screamscape have had the below information... www.screamscape.com/html/blackpo ... _beach.htm A few renderings and images of the ride can be found if you delve deep enough or ask the right people...
  4. Best to grab hold of a 2 for 1 voucher and pair up with someone that will save you some serious dosh. Also as KarlaKoaster mentioned Blackpool isn't too far from Alton and offers arguably more unique rides for a lot cheaper. I booked my tickets for the Coasterforce Live at Blackpool and have paid £15 pounds for an all day wristband. Much much better value than the Merlin parks.
