  1. I see nobody is responding to my questions regarding their blatant tease of more to come, however... I'm not disagreeing that 2017 is unlikely for a new coaster at KD, but to just ignore what KD themselves have indicated, regarding more news to come, is a bit myopic...
  2. Sometimes... I simply can't believe what I see on this site...
  3. I know he's gone now, and virtually everything he's left behind is worthless... However, I did chuckle at "B&M-ories"!
  4. What I'm saying, is that there is valid reason to believe there is more coming to be "announced", even if it's just related to Hurler's status for next season. Yes, an RMC opening next seems very unlikely at this point. But clearly, something is likely to happen with it, and they did tease "more coming", so at this point, expecting another announcement at some point, even if it's months away, is not unreasonable...
  5. I didn't read the rest of the replies, because the thread could have been closed right here! I do like the sound of that combo. However, I would really like about 4-5 days at Europa and 2 at Phantasialand. Including travel as well, it makes it about a 9 day trip. For me fine, great! And an epic trip, but yet again my 'companion' would NEVER go on a 9 day trip of basically just riding coasters at a theme park. Agreed! I wouldn't ever limit myself to just two parks, if I was going all the way out there. A friend of mine, who I met through enthusiast circles years ago (and posts here occasionally, actually) routinely does out of country trips, and recommended the Germany trip the highest. Assuming he doesn't go back next year (too soon), I'll definitely be looking at joining him on his next time out there. Because, as you said, nobody else I went with would be down for the kind of trip that I would want, riding coasters and being at amusement parks almost every day!
  6. Nonexistent This. There is a reason I am going next week during the week (Thursday), for the first time since Memorial Day!
  7. very doable, i live in the seaside heights area and did it no problem. Great! That's what I was hoping, because I don't have a lot of free days away from the family events that I'll be there for next year. I'm going to go to GAdv, as always, but wanted to finally get down to Morey's as well! (And Playland too, while I'm down that way!) Thanks, guys!
  8. ^I never recommend Fast Lane anyway, but seriously, you will not likely "need" it that day. I've been going to CP for decades in late August, during the week, and have always found the crowds to be on the low side!
  9. I didn't read the rest of the replies, because the thread could have been closed right here!
  10. ^That IS pretty fascinating! It looks there were a couple of defective dinos there, and some old flat rides!
  11. As many times as I've been to NJ to visit my relatives there, I've never made my way down the coast to Morey's Piers. How plausible, and doable, is a day trip down there from the Seaside Heights area, where I am able to ride all of the major rides and coasters? Thanks!
  12. People are convincing themselves that this can't be it and that Kings Dominion is just trying to get them even more hyped up for RMC Hurler. So absolutely not. FACT: There is NO proof, anywhere, that RMC Hurler isn't still happening at some point. In fact, there are some very legitimate, FACT based reasons, to think "there's really more coming." So, those who believe it may still happen, have just as much reason to think so, as those who don't think it's going to happen. Again... This thread has become a travesty because of people on both extremes, and neither one being willing to just accept the other as having a valid place in the conversation... It could happen as long as Hurler stands, but if it is going to occur, can we all agree it isn't for 2017? And that there is no announcement imminent in relation to this? My stance, at this point, is that 2017 seems ambitious, for an RMC Hurler. Not impossible, but probably solidly in the camp of unlikely. What I do find interesting, is how non-committal Chad was when asked about whether Hurler will be able to be ridden next year... I don't expect him to come out and say much on the topic, but his reply seemed to give some credence to the notion that it might operate next year in some form. Personally, it doesn't matter much to me one way or the other, as I haven't been to KD in 14 years, and I'm not sure when I'll be able to go back. I just think the mystery surrounding Hurler is one of the more fascinating things in the "industry" right now, and I'm curious to see how it all plays out. Regarding an "imminent" announcement, I don't think so. But it may be sooner than next year still. One thing I haven't seen many people address, who think there's nothing more to announce, is the fact that the screen literally said "there's really more coming" at the end. That seems to indicate something more will be announced, at some point. But what, and when, and how soon, is anybody here's guess, really...

  14. Of coasters that are still in existence, and aren't kiddie coasters... Steel - I'll go with T3, even with the new trains. My goodness, that was a horrific ride, even when you were just sitting on the brake run, with your legs going numb! Wood - Hurler, either one. The sooner they are gone or RMC'd, the better!
  15. Some of y'all have no patience! There is still plenty of time for CF to announce they're working with RMC, whether at CP, KD, or even CW! There are blatant hints (isn't that an oxymoron?) about both CF and KD having more to announce, and I'm starting to think that they may be holding off to make all the RMC announcements at the same, or similar time. Maybe not, maybe I'm reading too much into it. But I don't see anything making me think that is the case yet. Patience is a virtue, my friends... I also think coasterbill's point about the seemingly endless number of S&S Free Fly's Six Flags is looking to put in next year being a significant reason other RMC projects might be down. It's plausible, at least...
  16. I had the strangest dream last night... MiA announced a new roller coaster, called Steel Hawg (and even the same colors as IB's coaster, but it was an old Arrow double-loop, like the Double O at Boardwalk and Baseball! Yeah... Really bizarre, and I NO idea where that came from!
  17. My new #3 Wood Coaster, and a new Top 10 coaster overall - Ravine Flyer II @ Waldameer!
  18. I said RMC Hurler weeks ago, when most people seemed to think I was being a fanboy or simply exercising wishful thinking, and I've stuck with it all along. We'll all know soon enough!
  19. ^^ Thanks for that! I always figured new gates/entrances would figure into all this, and sure enough, both Soak City, and Cedar Point, are getting new gates. A new back gate into CP was desperately needed, as that old setup, was really awkward, and had a "back alley" vibe to it. It would appear that the new gate will be after you go through the tunnel under Perimeter Rd., and end up located pretty much parallel with Magnum's Photo building. So, in a way, this gate will make Magnum become another "Gate Coaster", to match GateKeeper and Valravn! I think this means my idea of another back gate over near RMC Streak is less likely, but that's ok. I'm still holding out hope that they will eliminate the dead end back there, and connect to the Gemini area, so we shall see!'
  20. My wife and I rode Windseeker last year during a cold, Haunt night... It was a HUGE mistake! Almost as soon as we started up, we regretted the decision, and couldn't wait for the ride to end!
  21. Please take your "sound logic" and "common sense" and get out. There's no place for that type of crap here. I literally laughed out loud! Seriously though, I almost felt like I was spoiling the fanboy dreaming bringing that in here, but I felt it had to be done. I'm still trying to figure out why anybody's talking about anything NOT related to Hurler??? At this point, I'm convinced it's either going to be RMC'd (My prediction, and to be honest, hope), or GCI'd. Anything else, would be surprising, from analyzing the situation's progression.
  22. So, now that we've confirmed Ripcord is moving, the question is: where to? Thoughts? (I shared mine last night, but that was many pages ago now!)
  23. Now, I'm not dogging all the CF additions, as honestly, many of them appear to be good fits for their parks. But I do agree that typically, even though they're a bunch of cloned attractions (and coasters), Six Flags does put a lot more interesting additions into their parks, making their announcement more exciting.
  24. Well, they certainly seen to be hyping things a bit this year. If you guys don't typically see that, maybe it does "mean" something. What it DOES NOT mean, is that there is a Hyper coming in 2017, because there's absolutely ZERO reason to think that. If it is indeed RMC Hurler, that will more than adequately fill any alleged "gaps" in the park's lineup...
