Any one else a little concerned about how the Jurassic World IP is going to hold up? Jurassic World was a popular film and I know that a sequel is coming out soon but Jurassic World is culturally irrelevant now despite coming out less than 3 years ago and there isn't a ton of hype for the new movie.
I get that Universal is trying to be more modern with this move, but I feel like Jurassic Park was a timeless classic that might never be forgotten while Jurassic World is a franchise that is going to come and go.
In other words, I'm willing to bet that in 15 years the original Jurassic Park is going to be much more well known and relevant than the Jurassic World films will be.
Therefore, I think that this move is definitely going to hurt them in the long haul.

How crowded do you guys think the park is going to be on Monday? The ticket price for that day is only $97, but I think several OC school districts have that day off from school, so I'm not sure how to analyze it.
-
It's pretty cool so far, but just so you guys know Desperado at Buffalo Bill's isn't listed
-
I haven't' ridden very many coasters but here we go-
1. X2
2. Full Throttle
3. Rock N Roller Coaster
4. Viper @ SFMM
5. Goliath @ SFMM
6. Manta @ SWSD
7. Desperado @ Buffalo Bills Casino
8. Montezooma's Revenge
9. Expedition Everest
10. Space Mountain @ DLR

Hey guys I have kind of a weird question: In terms of renting out a park, how far will $40,000 get you at Knott's Berry Farm? Like how much ERT/how many rides could you get for that? And if you don't know about KBF's policy on this, how far do you guys THINK this will get you at KBF/ how far will $40,000 get you at similarly sized parks?
BTW I really don't mean to come across as one of those guys who post stuff like this just to sound like they're rich in an attempt to impress people online. There's no way I can afford do this. I'm just asking because of a hypothetical situation my friends and I were considering.

I know this was an unnecessarily critical post, and the colors wont stop me from riding it, but I am just too dumbfounded not to speak my mind.
I'm with you though. I thought RIddler looked great before... Now, not so much, and it doesn't really make sense with the character. I mean, it's not a BIG deal, but it's really odd, and another strange color combo decision by an amusement park (shockingly, NOT CF this time! lol)
My question is, was Riddler's Revenge in NEED of a paint job, let alone a new color scheme?

I'm thinking of going to Knott's tomorrow. How are crowds this week, with it being Spring Break and the first week of the Boysenberry Festival?
I went to Knott's on Monday and crowds were really light. Silver Bullet was a station wait all day, GhostRider was at most a 20 minute wait and Xcelerator was also a station wait all day. In the 6 or so hours we were there we got 3 rides on Xcelerator, 3 on GhostRider, 4 on Silver Bullet, 2 on Voyage.
-
I've asked a similar question before but do y'all know how crowded bring a friend weeks are? Next week every weekday is a bring a friend free day, and although I do understand that usually bring a friend free days are insanely crowded I was wondering if they were any better on weekdays.

I'm sorry if this opinion has already been stated but am I the only person who's pretty sure that Boomerang is going to replaced with a flower bed, trees, or something lame like that?
I'd definitely love to see a new coaster but I feel like Boomerang's footprint is just way too small to put any new rides in.

You got anything else that you could give us? Like if this is a specific coaster that you rode could you give the city/area the coaster was located in? Or if you saw it online or on a tv show could you tell us the name of the tv show or post the picture on here?

Knott's Berry Farm, its parent company Cedar Fair Entertainment and VRstudios announced today the details of the first permanent installation of a free-roaming, multi-player VR experience in a U.S. theme park, which will be located inside the Knott's Berry Farm Boardwalk Arcade.
I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that that indicates that the VR room will replace the Lazer Tag room (just to clear it up for some people).
I still think its a weird idea though. I know that it's probably going to be a large space, but running into people and walls seems very plausible.

Here my top 3
Mercy- Kanye West feat. Big Sean, Pusha T and 2 Chainz
Ni**as in Paris- Kanye West & Jay Z
Forever- Drake feat. Kanye West, Lil Wayne and Eminem

So now that Monte is about finished, that means every coaster in the park has been re-painted in the last 5 years... except Xcelerator. Is there an actual reason they are keeping it that super faded pink? I don't buy the "it's too difficult to paint" reason, considering Cedar Point was able to repaint Millennium Force and Top Thrill Dragster.
This had me thinking...
If they were to repaint Xcelerator, how would they be able to paint the Top Hat? There's probably a way but the fact that it doesn't have a catwalk on top (or whatever it's called that Kingda Ka and TTD have) makes it seem very difficult.

I went to KBF on Monday and I was able to snap an updated pic of Montezooma's Revenge.
I personally think that MR looks amazing by itself, as the orange shade they picked is really pretty and the paint makes MR look new and fresh. However, with all of the other red/orange rides next to MR, it looks kinda weird.
Also sorry for the kinda low quality of this pic- I went with some friends who don't get the chance to visit KBF often, so I didn't want to drag them around so that I could take some pictures.

ok then

Let's waste away more of my life
1. What is the farthest distance you've traveled to specifically visit a theme park?
I've visited WDW from Southern California 3 times
2. Your favorite coaster in the state you live in?
Twisted Colossus
3. Would you rather wait in line for a boomerang (at any park) or a VR coaster @ a Six Flags?
I actually really enjoyed the VR on The New Revolution at SFMM, so VR coaster
4. Have u ever been the only person in a train during a coaster ride?
I've never been all by myself but I have been in a train with just my friends on GhostRider (pre-refurb) and Montezooma's Revenge
5. What is your favorite thing to do at your home park that does not involve riding something?
I really like eating
6. Better time for ERT: Early morning or late night?
Early morning cause it gets kinda tiring when its so laate
7. Name some theme park food that *sounds* gross, yet is oh-so-delicious?
I can't think of any theme park food but everyone knows that Deep Fried Kool Aid is great
8. Name your top three "bucketlist" coasters you have yet to ride.
Expedition GeForce, El Toro, Superman: The Ride
9. Have you ever been E-Vac'd? Did you receive anything if you did?
I got e-vac'd off Toy Story Mania once and they gave those automatic fast pass things (you know what I'm talking about)
10. What is the longest length of time you've waited for a coaster?
I've waited 2 hours for X2, but I've also waited 4 hours for Toy Story Mania (this is when it first opened)
11. Worst flat ride ever. Name it.
I REALLY hate Surfside Gliders at Knott's
12. Your favorite SWEET treat at a park that is NOT your home park.
Either this one cinnamon roll place at Magic Kingdom (I can't remember the name) or the apple fries at Legoland
13. Congratulations! After aggressively gambling on the Plinko game you finally won a front of the line pass. Which ride do you use it on?
Idk what Plinko is but probably X2 on one of those 2 hour wait days
14. If you could have a lifetime fast pass to ONE attraction what would it be?
Space Mountain as that thing seemingly always has an hour plus wait
15. Have you ever been next to someone that puked on a coaster?
Nah I'm lucky
16. Your home park is getting a new B&M and YOU get to pick what type. Do you want an invert/hyper/dive/floorless/flyer/wing/standup? All of the above is not an option.
Assuming my home park is KBF I'd love to see a B&M hyper
17. Name your favorite Vekoma.
Rock N Roller Coaster
18. What water ride delivers the most unacceptable amount of wetness?
If unacceptable means too little then the Timber Log Mountain Ride
19. If you were able to help design a coaster would you want it to focus on airtime or inversions/positive G's?
Airtime
20. Most comfortable trains/seats for a coaster are...
The Mack trains on Manta at SeaWorld San Diego
21. Choose one: Unlimited front-of-the-line access to your favorite coaster at your home park for one season OR $1,000 cash?
$1000 cause I don't go to my home park enough to really need a front-of-the-line pass that badly
22. You just got drowned by a flume/rapids/chute-the-chutes. Do you pay the $$ for the dryer machine or do you continue on with your day trudging around like soggy dog?
Latter cause you're gonna dry off eventually. Plus bathrooms have dryers and paper towels.
23. What is the worst food you've had at your home park?
There's this one place at Knott's with really crap chicken fingers

Disneyland Park
27. What's your current credit count? Don't be shy.
56 including GhostRider post-retrack as a new credit

SFA cause I've heard awful things about Mt Olympus
29. What is the best Intamin coaster you have ridden?
Xcelerator
30. Your home park has to remove one coaster and one flat for an expansion. Which two rides would you be OK with losing?
Once again assuming KBF is my home park, Jaguar and La Revolucion
31. Song/music you've heard playing at a park that absolutely has not business being played in a theme park?
Justin Bieber
32. There's 5 minutes before the park closes. You choose to: Reride your favorite coaster in the park, OR get the new kiddie/junior coaster credit?
Def re ride your favorite coaster. I count credits, but I would never sacrifice enjoying myself for a credit that I wouldn't ride if I wasn't counting
33. Do you visit the waterpark if it's connected to the amusement park?
Nah
34. What 2017 addition are you most looking forward to?
Justice League at SFMM
35. What was the most disappointing addition to your home park in the past 10 years?
Now assuming my home park is DLR, Soarin' over the World is pretty crap

Goliath

The Mexican Hat Dance teacup ride at KBF
38. What is the best consolation prize you've won at a games booth?
I vaguely recall them giving me a stuffed animal when I was a really young kid

Nuthin
40. End this questionnaire by posting a picture of your favorite light package (coaster/flat).
honestly can think of any srry
-
22. Name your favorite steel coaster under 125 feet tall.
TC is exactly 125 so GhostRider
Ghostrider is not a steel coaster.
First off, y'all can now see why I ain't doing the best in school. My favorite *steel* coaster under 125 not including TC would probably be Rock 'n' Roller Coaster at DLP
Secondly, and more importantly, you read through all of that? Why?

What a game!
Gotta admit, those 2nd and 3rd quarters were insanley boring, but that 4th quarter comeback was insane. It was as if one second the Pats had no chance and the next they were tied.
Where would you guys rank that among the other Superbowls? As a younger fan, I've only seen the 7 most recent Superbowls and I'd rank them
1. Giants over Patriots in 2012
2. Patriots over Falcons in 2017
3. Patriots over Seahawks in 2015
4. Ravens over 49ers in 2013
5. Packers over Steelers in 2011
6. Broncos over Panthers in 2016
7. Seahawks over Broncos in 2014

My school is considering doing grad night at California Adventure and I was wondering if any of y’all have ever been to a Disney grad night? If so, how many attractions are open and how are the waits?
