^If you're staying for dinner I'd highly recommend eating at the Crown Colony Restaurant (now only open seasonally)... Their fried fish and fried chicken is a must when it is open!

Regarding counter service options, the ribs and brisket at the Zambia Smokehouse near Sheikra is the way to go!
TBH, Dragon fire grill has some good choices. It's only place in the park where you can get Asian AND tex-mex!. Plus, a show and AC!

Once I was queing for Montu and, the people next to me said ''Busch gardens better make a new roller coatser!'' The sad thing is we were RIGHT next to Cobra's Curse!

I don't usually sign petitions but when I do, it's for something I really do support.

WARNING: LONG TEXT AHEAD.
This is the single most annoying thing ever...
Schoolkids...
This the story.
I am in a secondary school (my third year in this torture chamber). Being the 14 year old coaster enthusiast I am, I randomly ask people in my year what the best coaster they have ridden is... 90% of the time they say Stealth at Thorpe Park. Although I haven't ridden Stealth yet, I find it so crazy they prefer a 12 second ride over a 127ft wing coaster with epic near misses and good theming. I just don't understand. I ask them what their favourite amusement/theme park is. 99% of the time it's Thorpe Park. Thorpe Park. Thorpe Park. THORPE PARK!!
Being the 'know-it-all' about theme and amusement parks in my school, they then started to ask me questions. Stupid ones. VERY stupid ones. They ask me "How fast does Stealth at Thorpe Park go?" and I just say "80mph in 2.3 seconds". They are genuinely amazed on how I know how fast it goes. IT SAYS IT AT THE ENTRANCE!!! They then ask me the most idiotic things like "How many pieces of track are there on Saw?" and "How many stones are in the park?" and other ridiculously impossible questions. I say "I don't know!" and then they say how I actually know nothing about Thorpe Park due to their 'questions'.
The sad thing is, 75% of the people in my year have been to Thorpe Park three or four or more times! AND I'VE ONLY BEEN THERE ONCE! And I already know more then them!
On Saturday the 14th of November (my 14th birthday), I went to Adventure Island Southend and the Sea-Life Centre. I wore the wristbands ever since (for now). It was the last lesson on Friday 20th (Maths) and near the end of the day, a group of boys and girls spotted a wristband on me. They wanted me to show it and I showed Adventure Island's logo on the wristband and PEOPLE ASKED IF IT WAS THORPE PARK. First of all, ALL of you in my year know ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about Thorpe Park! You have been there fifty times and you didn't know they don't do wristbands? You don't know the difference between Thorpe Park's logo and Adventure Island's logo? This is how INTO THORPE PARK you are! Thorpe Park is the ONLY theme/amusement park you all EVER talk about! They don't even think about other awesome parks like Chessington, Alton Towers, Drayton Manor, Brighton Pier, Oakwood, Pleasurewood Hills, Paulton's Park, Blackpool Pleasure Beach and MANY more epic parks! When I name theme parks outside the UK they listen for about five seconds and then completely blank me out.
At lunchtime, the 'Base' opens so we play on the computers, do homework, watch videos, chill out or just play games. I like to watch videos of rides.
I watch a video of the TIme Machine at Adventure Island. People ask "Is that at Thorpe Park?"
I watch a video of the top ten fastest coasters in the world. People ask "Is that coaster at Thorpe Park?"
"Is that Thorpe Park?" "Is that Thorpe Park?" "IS THAT THORPE PARK?!"
I watch a video of Stealth at Thorpe Park, bored out of my mind watching random Coaster-Force (nice try) videos. People say "OMG THAT'S STEALTH THE BEST RIDE EVER IT GOES LIKE 50MPH!!!" (actual quote)
I watch a video of The Swarm. Nobody's interested.
Slammer? Nemesis Inferno? Saw: The Ride? Colossus? Rush? Zodiac? Vortex? X? Flying Fish? NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. Everything everyone's interested about is Stealth. Stealth and Stealth.
They think they're a know-it-all about Thorpe Park and others. But in reality, it's like they've never even heard of it.
Here are the two logos... Apparently they don't know the difference between these.

AGH! Rant finally over...
The Gp is moronic. Plain and Simple.

But am I correct for counting 9 inversions?
I count 8. Here is the layout as I saw it, with inversions in bold.
- Indoor drop.
- Vertical launch
- End of the launch
- Outside banked turn
- Heartline roll
- ~130° drop
- Dive loop
- First MCBR
- Twisted drop
- Overbanked turn
- Zero-g roll
- Outward top-hat
- Dive-loop
- Second MCBR
- +90 Drop
- Inside top-hat
- Outward top-hat
- Dive loop
- MCBR
- Twisted drop
- Pop of air
- Overbank
- Pop of air
- Overbank turn
- Large corkscrew
I'm still amazed about the variety of elements that the layout offers. I also count approx. 12 airtime moments.
This made me appreciate this ride 100000x than I already did. It's gonna have lots of !
-
Ummm...wow, I never acctually expected this to get to the front page of http://www.themeparkreview.com! Thanks a million!
Keep the airtime rollin!!!
-
^You always notice that they never show the good coasters in textbooks, usually just Vekoma boomerangs.
One time I saw a Arrow corkscrew.
-
You might be a coaster nerd if....
When you come across a photo of a Rollercoaster in a textbook you automatically know what coaster it is and where it is (was) located.
I've done this way too much in school.

I just realized how emo some of these posts are.
-
This.
Same here. Those Looping Starships are EASILY the worst rides I've done. The lap bar crushes my balls, the OTSRs hurt my chest when leaning into the ride, and the hang time is just uncomfortable. It's just an unpleasant and awful ride.
I'm pretty sure this is the only example of me hating lap bars.

I think what he said maybe a little biased toawrds Disney
It's not biased towards Disney, it's just the truth. As someone who lives in Orlando and lives & breathes the market here, all one has to do is take a walk around Universal, SeaWorld, or any of the other parks that aren't Disney and notice just how many people are still wearing their Disney MagicBands to those parks (because it's also their resort room key) and it's fairly obvious just how many people are in town for Disney, and going to other attractions also.
I'm not being negative against any other Orlando attractions, it's just the way things are here.
True. I've been to orlando and there is three types of tourist attractions
Disney
Semi-original Things that gain less traction than disney
Disney knock-offs.

With all the Universal Drama llama crap going on, what side does Disney lay on?
They don't care.
They don't care at all? Weird. Out of all people being over protective of their ground, I'd think Disney would be the first.
I think this explains it pretty well.
My thing is, why is universal making a big deal about it but Disney isn't?Because people don't come to Orlando to go to Universal, to go to SeaWorld, to go to Skyplex. They come to Orlando go to to Disney, and then they do those OTHER things as well on their extra days. Disney is the tentpole in this market, always has and always will be. Disney does not even concern themselves with what Universal does (as many people would argue against that) because Disney knows that one of their parks alone gets more attendance than both of Universal's parks combined.
Skyplex wouldn't be potentially taking away customers from Disney, they'd be taking it away from Universal. And that's why Disney doesn't care and Universal does.
I think what he said maybe a little biased toawrds Disney but, it seems like a pretty good summary. They now they'll pull in the dough whether or not this thing opens. Because, disney just gets everybody in!

Michigan's Adventure with the first lottery pick in the 2016 draft select, oh wait there draft choice has been traded for general improvements and a first round pick in 2022
Or basically...we are the Detroit Lions of the amusement park industry?
At least the park has more coasters than the Lions have Super Bowl appearances.
THIS. :
Only in Michigan.

I'm sorry but, Scorpion at BGT is a ride I cannot find enjoyment in.
-
Without a doubt, Montu @ BGT
-
Hmm.
Could it be??

Universal needs to stop saving the community, and instead Save the Clock Tower!
(which I guess they could do... After all, they still have that backlot right ?)
