  1. I don't think that's what anyone is saying. Many are saying they'd love to see one, like you, but it won't happen because it wouldn't be easy to market. The GP barely knows what airtime is, or cares. All they think is "OMGBALLZ IT IS TALL" or "BOOO ITS SMALL"
  2. Please tell me you're joking, did you actually read any of this thread? This exact picture was discussed over the span of about 10 pages... If you think that this picture means anything besides an artist filling in empty space, than your hopes are totally misplaced.
  3. I posted this same Idea a few months ago, although not with the racing. This would totally complete the park's coaster lineup, the perfect attraction on that end of the park perfectly complimenting windseeker. The XLC area could be the new entrance and queue. They could use topper if they wanted a wooden angle. It would be pretty marketable too, as the longest wooden on the east coast, or most inversions, or anything. Other than that, a Batman SFFT or YOLOcoaster type "gimmick" ride would do well there, very marketable. The worlds largest loop around a park entrance would be captivating, especially next to Dominator's giant loop. Surely we'll get a family friendly beemer though, a wingrider seems like the surest bet. The ride could be called "Fury". It would start with the Grizzly part with a blue track and be about the banked turns. Then it could go through the Hurler part and switch to a purple track and be about inversions and airtime, then a grand finale returning to the Grizzly station. The whole thing would be a good 6,000 feet long or so. Oh and it would have two lift hills and four inversions. While I am drooling over this idea, you guys are smoking something if you think this would ever happen.
  4. I exaggerate a lot lol but I was second row so I pretty much got the same experience as front. TBH I just didn't like it as much as 305, ppl on here sometimes forget that others have differing opinions . I rode second row before front as well. It's like night and day difference. Love both coasters!
  5. Pretty cool report even though it sounded like a lot of waiting! I seem to remember you had ridden F325 in every single seat on the train more than once, but in this report you claim to have ridden once. I'm just curious because that really affects how you enjoyed the ride. After my first ride, I shared your sentiments, it was just a notch below I305. Then front row: took out 305 and claimed my #1 position. Thank goodness for FL+ and 7 rides on such an amazing coaster. I never felt any rattle, it felt much faster than 305, much more open/free than 305, had more airtime than 305 (dat drop, dat turnaround, and dem bunny hills ), and in general felt more complete as far as ride experience/fit & finish went. I still love I305, don't get me wrong, but this was the whole package.
  6. Holy crap that reporter knows literally nothing about the amusement industry or how rides work. A part of me wishes he blew up on her, showed her why the rides are safe, then dropped the mic and walked out. But he wouldn't be gaining the respect he has by doing something like what I just described. Awesome job Nick, you are awesome!
  7. Also, if you were watching the TPR POV's that were recently posted (such awesome footage BTW), both back seat and front row POVs were taken in the morning with empty trains. It is traveling much slower in those POV's than it does on a hot summer day with a train full of happy passengers! Have fun this Sunday!
  8. This. Honestly enjoy some other parks or just be content with I305 for the time being. While I agree that we are becoming overdue for a coaster, complaining about KD on multiple threads which are unrelated to the "issue" at hand isn't helping either. We get it, we all want a coaster. Just wait. It could be 2016, 2017, or 2018. Certifiedcoastergeek: You won't ever be sarisified. You have stated multiple tomes that whatever comes won't be worth it after I305, so why complain about not getting a coaster, then also complaining about theoretical future coasters? Until we get a new coaster, stay put and ride the (2nd) best coaster on the planet!
  9. I305 is insanely smooth. It has a barely noticeable rattle towards the back but other than that its just incredibly intense.
  10. ^^The only similarities that coaster you circled and Millennium Force has is that there is a lift hill...
  11. Correct. I meant to say he *helped* plan/design those attractions. Whoops!
  12. Rob Decker designed Banshee and Fury 325. Isn't he the head of engineering or something for CF. This is pretty positive news if he did indeed say that.
  13. Dang...I'll miss that cred then Guess I'll look at the bright side, saves more time for Fury 325 Also, all the talk of "When is Cedar Fair getting an RMC!?" guess the time is now. Why do people think Carowinds is getting an RMC? Honestly, everything is pointing towards a water park expansion with 0.00 evidence for any sort of transformation of thunder road. It is simply a pipe dream.
  14. Thunder Road will officially give its last ride on July 26, 2015. I'm truly saddened to see such a fun coaster leave Carwoinds. (Source: Carowinds Twitter and Facebook).
  15. And yet, have you ridden them? I've ridden both I305 and F325 (KD is my home park) and I would rather ride Fury over Intimidator. Just my opinion though. Fury had a much more cohesive, thoughtful, and complete ride experience in my opinion, and that first drop was absolutely amazing.
  16. You act like Banshee and Fury 325 are a snoozefest. Ride them first before you bash them
  17. Might I refer you to page 1118 of this discussion thread? (My post, btw) He's being sarcastic....
  18. Why does everyone keep calling it thunder run? Its thunder road. EDIT: Wow, now you see what not reading the previous page does to my knowledge. Carry on, I was wrong!
  19. Thank you for summing up my thoughts, well said. There's just so much diversity on Fury whereas I305 is way more about intensity and speeed than it is about airtime. I love I305 so much too though, it was tough to pick a favorite.
  20. Well, let's not go crazy here. I still prefer I305, but Fury 325 was a lot of fun. I totally understand! After my first ride (row 3) I thought, wow that wasn't as good as 305. Then I rode some more and in the front. The drop lasted for SO LONG and it felt like it was a more complete ride experience, so then it edged it out. I still love I305, it is truly the most intense roller coaster I've ever been on!
  21. Yes, I'm sure you've been in person. Good rides: Fury 325 (barely edged out I305 for my #1 spot, it was crazy) Intimidator (awesome floaty airtime) Afterburn (intense) Thunder road (airtime EVERYWHERE) Vortex (felt pretty smooth to me!) Nighthawk (strange, but very fun experience) Goldrusher (awesome mine train) Carolina Cobra (the new trains make it pretty fun!) Windseeker Drop tower Bad rides: Hurler Carolina Cyclone ...?
  22. You guys are forgetting that CF really doesn't care about whimsy. This is evident through Carowinds entrance renovation. They totally bull dozed the landmark "plantation house" and many coaster fans in NC/SC were very sad. Life goes on, if we get a new entrance, get over it! It means we are getting a new coaster!
