  1. Dorney Parks new giga coaster....... actually any new coaster going into Dorney.
  2. I bet it would be quite cold on the Peninsula in November/December (which brings the question of IF Cedar Point did Winterfest next year, what coasters/attractions would be open?) They can have ice skating on the peninsula.
  3. With todays soceity, I don't even check to see if cars are coming 95% of the time. If they don't wanna stop, they can pay for my college
  4. Didn't Millennium Force hit 4+? This doesn't have the benefit of 9 car trains either, so I can only imagine the wait times, even with all three trains running. If Mystic Timbers could still muster 3-4 waits this year on its opening day with similar capacity and a much shorter layout, I'd ballpark this at...4-5 hours probably. Somewhere on this thread, I think someone said MF was 4 hour plus on it's opening day (and I think TTD was 5 hours). Think this could be broken next season with SteVen.
  5. So, basically the Dippin' Dots Guy. Cool. I'll wait until the press reports it. That's usually my attitude too, but in this case he generally knows what he's talking about. Thank you coasterbill.
  6. http://www.rideentertainment.com/press-release/american-dream/ Article talks about the two new coasters. Claiming that both with be world records.
  7. Funny you bring Dorney into this...... a guest actually pulled a gun on an actor in one of the haunts a few weeks ago. Source? TASER-branded devices (the type that actually shoot out the probes) are probably 90% plastic and wouldn't set off a metal detector that was set low enough to not activate at pocket change, as most theme parks' are. I use to work there and I know people who work there.
  8. Funny you bring Dorney into this...... a guest actually pulled a gun on an actor in one of the haunts a few weeks ago.
  9. Saw this on Twitter so I went to find the post on Instagram. Track and supports are on property. This place may actually open one day.
  10. I recommend this hotel for Carowinds And recommend this place for Kings Island Gas doesnt look too bad. of course, gas will depend on the type of car you have and if you like to use cruise control.
  11. Isn't this true about everything at Cedar Point? Yes actually it is
  12. I stayed at Sandcastle for my first ever trip to CP. THought the room was beautiful and the resort overall was really nice. A little upset that they are removing it tbh. Am happy that the stadium is getting bulldozed. Went in there in May when i was working at the park for a few day and it was completely worn down and filled with tons of bird sh*t.

  15. 2 hours to park...... Yeah I would of turned around. Cool news about expanding the boardwalk to the main parking lot. Now only if they will fix up the path leading from sandcastle suites to breakers.
  16. Thought i was dead after doing the human hamster wheel. Such an awesome but weird place!!!
  17. Blackout is actually pretty interesting. Last year they had a story behind blackout. Not sure if its the same or if they changed it for this year. Cornstalkers is probably my favorite from doing them in the past. I recommend getting the skeleton key room pass. Age of darkness is pretty crazy. Some of the others are cool as well.
  18. I've gone the past few years in early may, and never really had a problem with stuffing and stuff being closed. Crowds are usually good once all the schools leave for the day. Went on a Sunday in the fall two years ago at the end of september, and the crowds were low. But i can not imagine waiting that long for any coaster. They do need to either sell a certain amount of fast lane or raise the price. An hour wait for the fast lane line is ridiculous. I honestly can not imagine being one of those employees that night, no matter the department. I have worked 'busy' nights before for haunt at dorney, but my department also had staffing, and we were never busy, because no know played games. All seasonal parks will have staffing issues at the end of the year, especially a park like CP that depends on so much on college students as their staffing. Make a trip to dorney one day, youll never had to wait for anything as long as you did at CP.
  19. The could of told people to park at the hotel, or even in the town and have shuttles running to the park, which they do already I believe. A few years ago, dorney had to tell people to go find parking at businesses around the park and long the streets. Dollywood could of done the same.
  20. Saw these on Facebook. River battle is gone. Photos were taken and posted to Facebook by coaster crew.
  21. Supposivly some of the haunts were pulling upward of 2 hour waits last weekend.
  22. ^ I can confirm this is true. I was told by electricians at the park when i worked there why is wasn't working.
