It couldn't be that difficult to rig a counter to the turnstiles and figure out how many people have entered the park at any give time of the day, could it? It would be awesome if they could display it live on the website so locals could decide if they want to go or not.
And hey, while they're at it maybe some motion sensors in the lines that will display wait time. Just set them to trip after 5 minutes of uninterrupted motion, maybe 3 to a line.
Any thoughts?

Since AW was demolished, almost 3 years.

Boardwalk Bullet in the queue.

Although I'm never gonna visit, that's still cool because I'm allergic to wheat and barley.

I was testing out an HD tv, so I was looking for some free 1080p footage, and I came across this.
There's not a lot of coaster footage, just a few seconds, but the quailty is amazing. Definably worth downloading.

WRONG CHANNEL! it's 62!
My bad.

Channel 29.

Pfft, send it to another park. Is 16 coasters not enough already?
-
Ooooooooooooooooooh!!! Send both of them to TX plz! I like Fireball, the double down and the double up look awesome! Looks like a good coaster for small parks.
Haha, that would be nice. Somehow I don't think Kemah can fit in the out and back version though...

It's one thing to be a fanboy, it's another to beat a topic into the ground. There are far better and worse coasters that have gotten much less attention than this one.
Maybe this is because the Houston area lost its home park and went without a coaster for almost three years. Of course it's going to get more attention.
GUYS lets get back on topic how was it running at 11:14am this morning. NEED 2 KNO ASAP!!!!You want to stop with your utterly useless posts? No one gives a damn about how you think it's stupid that we want updates. The coaster changes almost on a day to day basis. Maybe we want to know if it's going to be slow and rough before we drive an hour there and back to spend $20 for ONE coaster.
If you don't like this thread, don't click on it! Simple as that.

What?!?!?! Why was it running so slow already?
-
And its easy to access because you dont have to pay themepark prices to ride it. We're just so happy!
Ehh, I think $20.00 for one coaster is bordering on theme park prices...
But I'm not complaining, just glad we have something to ride.

Yeah worked great clarity and definition.
Ok, I just tried two different machines and three different browsers and it just says connecting for awhile then says "ready". As long as its working for others.

If you have firefox, download this plugin:
It will let you download the direct AVI to the stream. I just got finished downloading it, so I'm gonna watch it now.
Edit: I just watched it and the water tower hill still seems slow. It looks almost the same as the untracked version. ???

That's what happens when you don't follow the rules...

^Yeah but it does not deserve that ranking. One of the reasons it ranked so high is due to the number of Texans that rode it, and not so much else!
Exactly, I mean my back still gives me nightly pain from riding it. It's just ranked above the Rattler for me (that means that it is a very bad ride).
How could you still have pain from it? You must have had some problems before...
The only thing I(Or anyone else I rode with) came off with was a headache.

Yeah, I think that was the reason...
With AW closed, BB is the only coaster in the Houston area, so it gets an unfair advantage. People are always going to be a little more biased to their home park though.

Thanks! It's like watching the construction updates all over again.
Hope to be there on the 1st. I got some fireworks to set off on new years.

http://www.screamscape.com/html/kemah_boardwalk.htmlNews - (12/17/07) I haven’t found any photos yet, but I’ve been told that construction crews are crawling all over the Boardwalk Bullet these days, taking sections of the ride down to rebuild it. Now I had heard over the summer that there were solid plans in place to do just this over the winter due to the rushed construction timetable. However, other sources tell me that the rougher portions of the ride have apparently caused a few individuals to file “whiplash” lawsuits so sections of the ride will be tamed down a bit when it reopens.
I hope this doesn't equate to trims. Does anyone know what's going on?
First of all, I myself don't see how it is any rougher then a lot of other coasters...
I've ridden every car and it tosses you around a bit, but it's no where near whiplash. But, I suppose if you went through the ride limp, and did not know when to expect G-forces(The bottom of the first drop has some good laterals that 1st time riders don't expect), then maybe you could end up with problems.
As far as trims, I don't think it will happen. The first part of the ride is crazy fast, but the ending half almost crawls over the hills. If they add a trim, it would not have near enough speed to make it over the last hills.
I bet Kemah is just going to retrack BB to get it riding how it was supposed to, and then they will see if it's still rough after that.

^ Smart a$$.
His picture was of an Intamin zero-g roll. That definetly wouldn't have any movement.
I've spent entire rides on SLCs watching the side friction wheels. It's shocking just how much they come off the track.
I spend my SLC rides using all my might to hold the OTSR as low as possible to minimize the damage to my brain.
They're not that rough...
Why don't you just bring a nice soft pillow with you and use it for cushioning.

^It's funny because it's true.
What are you talking about? Granted I've only been on BB, but it's no where near that rough. It's just "give you a headache" rough in the backseat.
Anyone else prefer Vekoma SLC's?

So they are a little rougher, big deal.
I think the layout is superior to BTR's. The first inversion is really disorientating and interesting, and the inline twist is AWESOME. It really makes the ride IMO. The foot choppers it provides are mind blowing, much more so than BTR. You even catch a little air on the hill by the station.
BTR in comparison just seemed kind of boring. Two loops and two cork screws? Come on, where's the variety? It was also so smooth that it felt like we were just floating along. Combine that with a boring layout, and a zero G roll that just whips you through it with no airtime, and it's not gonna be high up on the charts for me.
Anyone feel the same way?
