  1. Went last night, but it was too busy and shouldve closed at 10. What's with people cutting in lines? I went on Boss and after waiting 30 minutes, a few people went through the line to get next to their friends. Same thing happened to Mr.Freeze, but karma struck when they opened the other side and and me and my friends were the first to go, while the people that cut were the last on the other side. They weren't very happy about that haha.

  2. Just a heads up for anyone planning on coming to the park this weekend, this weekend is historically the busiest weekend of Fright Fest and the whole season. But then again, the weather is going to be awesome and there is plenty to do besides waiting in ride line... like watching some of the shows, waiting in food lines, going to a haunted house, waiting in guest relations line to complain about food lines, and looking at the décor!

This should be an awesome weekend.

Wouldve thought it would be NEXT weekend. I went to Creepyworld on Sunday and it wasn't too crowded. Only annoyance was the group in front of me that screamed at everything.

Actually the last weekend of Fright Fest is almost always the lowest in attendance. It will probably be a little busier than the last few years next weekend since Halloween is not on an operating day. Halloween is a ghost town at the park... pun slightly intended.

ohhh good, since I plam to go on friday and maybe sunday.

  4. In these forums, there's mixed reviews as to the quality of the SFSTL's Fright Fest haunts. My only such event thus far was at SFGAm in 2014, which also gets mixed reviews (as just about every park's Halloween operations do), but I still liked it. I'm certainly hoping to get down there to check out their Fright Fest for myself. If I don't make it down this month, than perhaps I can see Holiday in the Park, which would be my first ever attended amusement park related to Christmas.

Never did the Fright Fest haunted houses, but if you'd only be going for those, I'd say do scarefest instead, specifically The Darkness and Creepyworld. Hoping to do Fright Fest this year, but it could be bad timing, since if anytime, it would be a Sunday, but they're only open until 8(thought they were open till 10 last year).

  5. I HATE to use the forum to ask these questions...but the confusion is simply too great.

I am a current pass holder (along with the wife and small daughter). I purchased three more 2017 passes during the flash sale for us. I had six flags mail me the vouchers, and I have them in my possession. Hoping to go to the park tomorrow (Sunday). Also planning to use the bring a friend free perk for three people, as I received an email indicating that Sunday's were open for that for the rest of October if you purchased during the flash sale. I have called in past to ask these questions, but my other pass purchasing friends and I have gotta n different answers at different times. So, what is the most efficient strategy?

    1) Enter parking using current gold pass, walking up to customer service outside the gates, processing there early (before 10:30 opening...if the window opens before 10:30), then taking passes and entering with friends through gate.

    2) enter parking using current gold pass, use vouchers to enter the park at 10:30, then let friends roam free while we process passes by Excalibur.

Options 3 and 4 would be same, but using vouchers for parking for some reason.

If it makes a difference, one of our passes has dining attached (mine).

Even though I have done passes before, it has always been so confusing, time consuming, and frustrating. Trying to have the best day tomorrow in spite of accomplishing this task (and getting the friends in).

    THANKS!

Easiest way would be is to use the Six Flags app. Download it to your phone if you dont have it. Then scan the barcode on your voucher. Just do the same thing on a different phone if necessary.

  6. Guys, at this point I'm going to ask that all discussion about the new ride be stopped until the official post tomorrow morning. It's just getting a bit out of hand at the moment and it's only a few hours away until the actual videos and renderings get posted. Please respect these wishes of the admins. Posting fake videos of the ride that someone mocked up only confuses the issue more.

If you seriously cannot wait a few hours until the ride gets announced for real, you have issues.

    Thank you for your understanding.

My fault, I should've read the description beforehand. Can't help but think a ride like that will make people throw up.

  7. I can't find it now, but there was a FB post for a presale for the Flash Sale for season pass members. 2017 Gold Pass for $63.

It's on the Six Flags St Louis facebook page, and the Flash Sale for current passholders is 2017 Gold Pass for $49.99 each. That's the good part. The bad part is that the Season Dining Passes come up for $200.00! There is no way I'm paying $200 for a Season Dining Pass! THe thing is, that pass doesn't come up as part of the Flash Sale. There's a link to buy it on the Flash Sale page, but it just takes you to the regular Season Dining Pass page, which has no mention of a discount. So, I'm hoping that when September 1st rolls around, there will be a sale on the Season Dining Passes as well. If there's not, well, we'll be spending about one tenth as much time at Six Flags as we have the past few years, since the Dining Pass is a big reason we visit, and we'll be eating outside the park because I will not be paying $10 for a hot dog.

Does anyone have any knowledge of whether the price will come down September 1st?

Please Note: Season Dining Passes and Memberships will also be available at very special prices (with very special offers) during the Flash Sale beginning September 1. If you're looking for either of these items, please check back on Thursday!

  8. I forgot how the entrance process is, but do you have to have a pass to get in if you're already a pass holder, where you just get your finger scanned, or do you need the pass too?

Yes you must have the pass with you.

However, you can input your pass number into the Six Flags mobile app, and then you no longer need the physical pass if you show it on your phone.

Yeah, I did all this back in April. I found out last night that he got a new phone, so he obviously doesnt have the app.

  9.

Personally, I have a SF season pass. I got it through my job where it is payroll deducted from several checks. I have yet to use it this season because I've yet to be able to afford the gas (I live three hours away from the park), the $20 to park, the money to upgrade the pass to have free parking, and food. It is disappointing having such an expensive hobby (as compared to my income). Also, the last time I visited a park other than SFStL was in 2014 when I went to SDC, which was generously covered by a friend. Maybe someday I'll be able to afford to do what I enjoy more often.

Next time you get a season pass, buy it online Labor Day weekend. I did that last year(even when a friend said he didn't have the money), where I bought 3. We processed them during Fright Fest, which gave us free Gold upgrades. Ended up paying $60 each for a Gold Pass.

  10. just rode the Ninja VR. Few comments:

The capacity is greatly lowered. It took forever for the cars to dispatch. When I rode it, I liked the Experience, but at the end, I ended up sitting on the brakes in the hot sun with my friends for a while (Maybe 7 minutes).

The Capacity is my only complaint with the experience. Today is Season Pass preview. When it opens tomorrow, the line will be horrible.

Not to mention that its a holiday and bring a friend free weekend.

  11. Justice League update:

Justice League reopened Saturday. The ride experience is the same but the car movements felt more aggressive actually causing me to slide around a bit. Most people I have talked to think the ride is more aggressive than it was, others disagreed. The ride ran Saturday and Sunday with significantly less downtime than before. Oceanering and Sally are still on site working on the teething issues of the new system. There have been less reports of scenes not working and guest seem in general very thrilled with the ride were as before the upgrades people's reaction was less enthusiastic. Be sure to ride it and post your thoughts.

I don't recall much difference, but I think in the part with the Joker shooting the gas, you're directing in front of him for a few more seconds. Everyone in my car loved it, especially a little kid. I think what might make the ride better is maybe putting in in regular 2d, since almost all of them were saying that they dont like 3d, though I personally do. But with this ride, I don't find the 3d to be THAT good.

Something I noticed about Mr Freeze is loading part really needs A/C, maybe even "cold" air to give it a nice effect.
