LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The T3 roller coaster at Louisville's Kentucky Kingdom has been closed for an investigation.

Park officials said Saturday around 2:30 p.m. the T3, a suspended looping coaster, bumped into the first train as it was waiting to enter the station for unloading around.

Five guests were taken to the park's health services center for evaluation after the incident, park officials say. Four of those guests returned to the park, while the fifth was taken to a local hospital at the request of her parents.

Officials say the incident is under investigation, and the roller coaster will stay closed until that investigation is completed. Officials also notified state ride inspectors of the incident.

No other information was immediately available.

  2. Well what a coincidence, Ed Hart did wonder why some people do not like Thunder Run at the last rides event lunch and some people did say it was a little rough. Guess the park is trying to make it the #1 wooden coaster that it was when it opened.

Personally, I don't think making it any smoother will make it a better ride. The layout is kind of boring, and even from the back seat there isn't much airtime. It's a decent introductory coaster, though.

    RMC can fix that

The irony is faaar too strong in this one, lol

    lol

  4. I noticed the same day of the Koaster Kids event at the park, the Greezed Lightnin' trains were being hauled away. Any idea what's happening to them? Scrapyard or refurbishment for another schwarzkopf coaster somewhere?

Remember when they said those trains weren't on the property?!?! lol

If this park were slated for another large coaster in the next few years, where would it go? It didn't appear the park had much room for expansion.

There's room for expansion if need be trust me!
