  1. kind of simple but obvious that many parks have longer drive ways and divide parts up of the park and the rest of the town by a tree line.
  2. I get them depending on crowds, how often I visit, and depending what type (such as a quebot(i think thats what its called) or more of a fast lane.
  3. Batman-the dark knight at SFNE is a custom floorless.
  4. I would go the weekend after. You won't want to go to a park anywhere near a holiday weekend.
  5. Is it bad that I found the Cyclone rougher after they added the trim brakes and redid some track? I actually enjoyed the ride before.
  6. Looks really cool. Curious what rides were operating?
  7. This year was a pretty good year for ride crews. One thing that always bothers me is at the Nitro station the line at the gates gets so long and over crowded its crazy. They need someone there to limit it like at superman kingda ka and El Toro.
  8. Someone thing I've wanted to talk about for a while are amusement park stocks. Its obviously one of the more interesting stocks to own with them changing significantly every year and changing when parks have their off season. It would be interesting to know what people have invested in and to give advice to other people who have or looking to invest. Here are the main ones: (let me know if I'm missing any) Six Flags: Six Flags Entertainment Corp NYSE: SIX Cedar Fair: Cedar Fair, L.P. NYSE: FUN Disney: Walt Disney Co NYSE: DIS Universal (parent company that owns them): Comcast Corporation NASDAQ: CMCSA Sea World: SeaWorld Entertainment Inc NYSE: SEAS
  9. The Cyclone at SFNE before it was Wicked Cyclone. First the drop was shortened, then retraced many times changing the ride completely then adding trim brakes, more retracking, more trim brakes, and making the brake fins stronger.
  10. I feel like this is an okay addition for the park. While most were expecting a ride or even coaster since we haven't gotten one in a decade and a half. So I'm basically expecting a smaller dinosaurs alive like at cedar fair parks. But at least this time they didn't get rid of a ride there not going to replace.
  11. Well what we know so far that its dinosaur themed and its going to be made out of wood and bricks. Wouldn't be surprised if its a gravity group coaster with a din themed train like roarosoures. Plus in all the other coasters they said that it was going to be big. But that area seems pretty small.
  12. Any difference with the refurbished trains on viper?
  13. That wasn't even a transportation ride. It only had one station. Edit: Also it was removed until the end of the 1996 season. Six Flags wasn't in the picture until 1998. So it wasn't Six Flags that removed it, but rather Premier who ran the park during that time. Actually it was bought by the company 1996 and then was six flags branded in 2000.
  14. Yes that would be good but Cedar Fair parks like to go with S&S towers instead.
  15. Thank god six flags decide to paint Pandemonium! Not sure why they waited so long to do so after the paint started to fade 5 years ago. But it looks like a brand new ride now!
  16. The computers that companies use now so we have less head bangers!
  17. Most of the new rides open memorial weekend or later. But I think you should have a full day at Lake Compounce, then combine quassy with like a travel day. Try to go on week days before camp starts to all the parks. Also if you are looking for a good water park to add to the trip I recommend Mountain Creek Action Park in Vernon New Jersey.
  18. the area is about 80 by 170 feet. There could be some room or an outback if they cut down trees but I highly doubt that.
  19. I feel like it could be a zamperla air race or a huss frisbee. That spot in the fence where they just poorer concrete is most likely the Ride Op booth.
  20. Am I the only one that finds stand up coasters not that bad. Even though sometimes the ride is bad and hurts your legs I've had more good rides than bad. But the idea of a stand up coaster is over 30 years old. First by Togo then made better by intamin then B&M. I think that now its an older concept enthusiasts are don't have as much ley way for them as when they first opened.
  21. I completely agree. now if only they can get the smell of mildew out of there
  22. Cedar point. I am more into thrills and i just had more fun at cedar point and the atmosphere there
  23. Is it me or does that S&S tower look awfully short. Also does anyone know what mode the tower will be running on?
