This really isn't a ride but I LOVE riding the Minnesota Valley River Railroad at valleyfair. I would literally ride it for hours after my shifts because I was too tired to walk around the park

Just a quick question Gary. Now that the new rumor about a possible cedar point dive coaster has arisen, is the rumor you heard about still plausible? Can you give us some info if the dive coaster will thwart our chances of anything good in 2016?
I asked Mr. Frazier pretty much that same question. I mentioned rumors about a dive coaster for CP, and possible coaster rumors for Valleyfair and Michigans Adventure. I asked if he could shed some light on if there is still a possibility of getting a coaster in 2016. He replied back and said "Wow, a lot of rumors" and "No comments from me" Take that how you want, I have some thoughts on it but I'll keep that mum for now
If you have any thoughts worth sharing we're all ears.

The amphitheater is pretty much SBNO. I haven't seen an act perform there since 2011 ^

When I toured the construction site, I don't recall Mr. Frazier mentioning a new bathroom. But I bet we will get a new bathroom along with the expansion. We did talk about the floodplains for quite a while though. When we walked past where those concrete pipings are there were a lot more of them, I meant ALOT more of them. There was around 10 from what I saw

If vf got a flat in 2016, and a coaster in 2017, I would be very happy. Granted that we would have to wait longer but it would be worth it because if the park gets a decent flat, and a new coaster, that would really balance out the park and put it up on the boards for once.

Although I do believe 2016 will be our year to get the next major attraction for the park, I think having a water park expansion and a new coaster is wishful thinking. I would love it, but I just don't see cedar fair investing that kind of money into vf. Who knows, I would love for them to prove me wrong.

I wish I could go to the park during the off season!
In the Renegade Brake Run picture, is that Renegade's train under the blue tarp?
It most likely is, I didn't pay much attention to them though. I see that kinda stuff everyday in the summer, since I worked there (and will be again next year) so it was normal to see renegade like that. Thank you guys for being so appreciative of the pictures! I hope I will get more opportunities like this down the road!

So you may remember me posting something mentioning some pictures of the construction. I got the opportunity to tour the expansion and to take some pictures. Here are the pictures! (sorry for the delay). I apologize for the lack of quality of these photos, my camera on my iPod isn't the greatest.
Excavator working in the path towards north woods grill.
This is the clearing where the splash pad will be (I'm sure you already know that)
Uh wheel of fortune? You're not looking too good.
Valleyfair's barren walkways.
This is the pit for the filtration building that will be close to the watersides.
Steel Venom's wheel assemblies
Another skeleton of a planet snoopy ride.
Renegade's brake run
Some of the footers for the slide tower. Notice some support tubes are already in place.
The rides taken apart look really weird! Expesially the ferris wheel. I unfortunately couldn't get a picture of it.
From the catwalk of valleyfair's matinence building.
Leveled ground outside breakers bay.
I need one...
What ride's wheels are these?
Corkscrew's trains in storage
Steel Venom's trains in storage

Why would you prefer them to waste money on new trains for Wild Thing instead of investing that money in a new attraction? The trains are just fine. They work for Mamba, Steel Force and Steel Eel - why is it such a burden to have the trains on Wild Thing? Seriously - there are things the park needs much more than new trains on a coaster that is already popular with the crowds.
As far as the Rougaru conversions - they are speaking about the two Vortex stand up coasters being converted.

That makes a lot more sense now, thank you for clarifying.

Just noticed valleyfair retweeted themeparkreview's tweet regarding the release of the new no limits wing coaster. Does this mean something? Again, I could just be reading into it too far. I just thought it was odd, and it was the first time I've ever seen them retweet themeparkreview's tweet.

If you guys haven't noticed already, there are limited edition thunderbird blueprints on the holishop. I picked one up for myself, looks pretty cool even though $39.99 is a bit steep. Only 250 were made!

I got the privilege to go and tour the construction today. Pictures coming soon!

Supercat surprisingly is a popular ride for guests. On a typical summer day, or a busy day in the fall, the ride is actually pretty full. As for demolitions, I would suspect riptide going first. Even on hot days that ride has no more then 10 people on it.

My local parks are Valleyfair and Nickelodeon Universe. I visit valleyfair (almost) everyday, pretty much every chance I get. One of the reasons being I worked there last summer and would ride the rides after my shift in the afternoon. As for nickelodeon universe, I don't go there in the summer. But in the offseason it's about once every month.

My last visit to the mall, I noticed that a majority of the kiddie rides were closed. NU might be relocating them around the park to open up space for future attractions? As for dueling pepsi orange streak, I would fully support it
-
I heard from some rumors amongst the employees that they will take out a section of the parking lot and fill it in with a ride or two. When I saw the cones the rumor made a bit more sense. I wish I snapped a picture but, no phones on the job !

1. Banshee
2. Raptor
3. Montu
4. Batman the Ride SFGAM
5.??

I wouldn't mind seeing ghost blasters leave Nic U. That would open enough space up for a station. It would be cool if they intertwined the coaster around the park, similar to what they did with the Pepsi Orange Streak.

^Are you by chance confusing the carousel directly inside the entrance area with the carousel in the middle of Kiddie Kingdom? Why not Frontiertown, which used to have a carousel way back when (and I believe was moved to Dorney).
Actually Kiddie Kingdom's carousel would make a nice addition to Frontier Trail either in the MF area or closer to Thunder Canyon/Shoot The Rapids/Petting Farm.
They use the roundhouse in Frontier Town for a haunted walk-through during Halloweekends (the Asylum, or the Eternity Infirmary as it's called now, I believe). It's been quite awhile since I've gone during the regular season, but I would think they leave all the props and maze in there during the year. Were they to move this carousel, do you think they'd build another roundhouse or move the one it's currently occupying?
Additionally, where will Midnight Syndicate perform next year? We saw their show this past September and really enjoyed it.
Cedar Point could do a "Ghost tour" in the roundhouse instead of a maze of sorts. It would be new to Cedar Fair, because I don't think they do "Ghost" Tours at cedar fair parks. I did do a "Ghost" tour when I visited London, and its actually a common attraction there. It would probably more geared towards families. Just a thought.

Who else thinks a zac spin, or an inverted family coaster (Like Freedom Flyer at Fun spot America) would fit NU really well?

If Valleyfair announces 2016 additions around the same day we should hear an announcement in 234 days! I hope to see some evidence of a coaster coming in 2016! Keep your eyes peeled this year, I will!
