  1. Was this supposed to be SFOG Goliath? If so, the layout is wrong. It seems to be a mirror image and the end is wrong. Also the first drop is not angled enough. Great coaster though, I can never make them this smooth in NoLimits.
  2. I guess I was one of the luck ones that got to ride this when it was "Z Force" at SFoG. Back then it was an awesome ride. My biggest complaint is that it was only there for 2 or 3 years. The dive loops and the helix were awesome. I miss that ride.
  3. Have you noticed this change ... Family Fright Fest October 1 - October 29 Fri/Sat/Sun in October – Your favorite characters and performers are back for another year of frightfully good fun. This year the entire park transforms into a family-friendly wonderland that's fun for all ages.
  4. That is our local weathermen. I am about 4 rows back on the left of the video (right side of the train) in a teal shirt with my hands up and my son is next to me in a yellow shirt. You can see us as the train starts up the lift hill. Of course you can tell if you really look, they cut out the last 1/3 of the ride. They took out the 4th hill, the horseshoe turn and at least 1 of the bunny hills. All during that trip I kept thinking that Paul Ossman's (the big guy in the blue) VIP badge was going to fly off and cut someone on the train behind him, but it never did. And the cheering in the station was not just for them, every train that came back into the station arrived to applause and cheers. What an awesome day!
  5. Great pics! My son and I are in the one of the crowd shot at the end of the announcement with the confetti in the air. I am pointing to the ground and he is in the yellow shirt. It was an awesome day and a fantastic coaster. What a great addition to the park. Well done SFOG!
  6. I will be there Media Day with my 10 year old son! We are so excited we can't stand it!
  7. My biggest fear is not for me, but for my son. He is 10 and really has started to enjoy coasters. I always worry that he is small enough to slip out of the restraints.
  8. Yes. I am a member at SFOG.NET and the only thing we have heard over there from a member named SixFlagsPR is "And yes, one coaster at least will get a new paint job... I'll give you a hint: It's probably not at the top of your list of "favorites", but does badly need a paint job. Perhaps this and some additional improvements will give it a few more points in some folks' rankings." Some have stated maybe it means new trains and some have said maybe new wheels. Who really knows???
  9. Ninja rocks! I love the headchoppers, the view and the corkscrews. I like the front car. But then again, I am 6'1" and 250 lbs. I hope this thread will be moot in a about a month or so. The rumors are that along with the new paint job the Ninja is getting, they will be adding new Vekoma wheel assemblies (sp?). It seems as the old wheels have contracted some and leave some space between the wheel and the track. This is what is causing the rough ride. I guess we will find out when the park opens for the "06 season.
  10. In this story ... http://news.yahoo.com/s/wkmg/20060215/lo_wkmg/3268674 It stated that the police initially sent Homocide Detectives to investigate because they thought the man had life threatening injuries. But it also states that he improved dramatically once he was at the hospital.
  11. I have been a long time fan of the site, but just decided to register for the forums recently. I am trying to kick my Virtual Magic Kingdom habit. My name is Doug and I am 39 (40 in March :? ) and live just south of Atlanta, GA. That would make my home park SFOG. I have been married for 14 years and have a 10 year old son. I am teaching him to be a coaster fan too. Thanks for the great site!
