My guess is a Drop Tower... showing a Boss' Drop as a hint was mean. They can't be that ignorant to the fact everyone wants the Boss RMC'd. They could have used the Eagle's Drop, who knows.

I think you misread that into meaning the SFSTL carousel will not be done until 2026 but it's the Smithsonian one that won't be done until 2026. SFSTL at last update is planned for re opening this year, hopefully in time for National Carousel Day on July 25 but obviously that's not been announced as a for sure yet.
Oh Jeez, yep I did exactly that. Sorry all.

But by that logic there would never be a reason to update or restore anything. Don't bother painting or cleaning it will just get dinged up and dirty again?
No, that's not what I meant. I think I was rather clear so I won't repeat myself
-
So the restoration will done so well it will become a museum piece? Once it reopens it will get dinged up in the first week.
A flawless restoration is not needed here.

most every level of Season Pass includes parking. (and with SO many sales bumping Gold pass to Platinum for free (that includes the parking) - if you're going even once, it makes sense to purchase the pass, just for parking privileges.
just making a Joke...

Soon, the cost to Park will be more than a Season Pass.

It will collapse onto itself, a cheaper demolition alternative

I would cry no tears to see Ninja replaced with a Modern B&M Looper (Floorless). Even a transplant would be welcomed. Scream from MM comes to mind.

And as with all coaster's, there will always be a ticking clock to them, some taken before others.
Shelf Life does not apply to SFSTL. Just look at the Ninja, that coaster should have been removed 15 years ago.
It's an old handbanger from the 1980s ... plus it gets no ridership.

I guess we can expect the same demise to our Carousel. Years of refurbishment then end up in the scrap dump.

That's good news!

Hope they tear down the old Bonzi Pipeline Tower... just a big eyesore at the front of the park

This park is really the only one without a kiddie coaster.
This park is without a lot of things. Don't hold your breath

I mean... they could build dueling giga coasters and I'd still rather go to Silver Dollar City. Sorry, not sorry. lol
For sure ... that's the way it has worked out. I love SDC and if it were here in STL I would buy season passes every year. You all are just proving my point.

Maybe we're more passionate then other theme park nerds, or we just like to complain a lot.
SFSTL is a legacy park that been around for over 50 years. It should be the gem of the Midwest, and it very well could be if the park got the attention is needs. I think that's what gets under everyone's skin. We all know how great the Park could be, all the potential is there.

I realize it is in the far out burbs but frankly so are most parks.
Was staffing an issue pre-covid? I never heard of staffing issues until the last few years, so I doubt the location is the issue.
SFSTL is stale, run down, blah.... no excitement. That doesn't seem like a great place to work, does it? The park need a generous amount of capital for a well deserved Facelift.
It gets no media attention (radio or TV), no commercials, no billboards. The park is just there, like it has been for 50 plus years. ...yawn...
It's like watching your favorite Movie over and over and over, it's your favorite but eventually you have had enough.
