By the way there is somehow a rumor circulating amongst the gp that SFStl is getting a "BIG NEW RIDE". Several people here at work have asked me about it, knowing that we are enthusiasts; as well as the guy at the bank when we were setting up the boy's new account. Not sure where that came from.
I have been hearing the same rumor since 2010 (haha) ... I wouldn't hold your breathe or get your hopes up.
Our Moon Cars are a joke, almost best to remove the ride and safe the Gas money.

A lot of accusations lately that SFStL is a park in major decline. Some even suggested it could be sold. I'd be curious if there is any data to support that. Does SFStL release attendance numbers? Or for that matter does the HQ release attendance numbers across all parks nationally?
I haven't heard those rumors but I don't think the park will be sold, just doesn't seem to be in the cards.

Cool, well if we're going the fantasy route, let's replace Superman with Tower of Terror, River King with Big Thunder Mountain, and Justice League with Spiderman.
I didn't say it's going to happen or will ever happen, I just said it would be nice.
We are just a bunch of Jaded SFSTL fans ... nothing wrong with anything you said.

Yeah, but that is a bit of a misnomer. It is actually a day trip from St. Louis, Indianapolis, Louisville, Lexington, Paducah, Nashville and a few other places that I haven't thought of off the top of my head. All relatively small markets but together .......
So they Built one of the best Waterpark in the Country (and a few excellent coasters) and the People came.

It's a small market park in a rust belt town. If you live in St. Louis and don't understand your city's status in this country, then the blame is squarely on you.
Cincinnati, and Ohio in general, is right in the middle of the Rust Belt, so I can't buy that excuse.

It amuses me how much the boss gets talked about on this tread. This same park has American Thunder which is an amazing wooden roller coaster. American Thunder is fast, fluid and smooth. Anyways back to the regular scheduled complaining lol
Doesn't surprise me at all. The Boss is SFSTL's largest ride and everybody wants/wishes it would be an awesome coaster but unfortunately it is not.
...and that generates conversation.

And I remember when the park only had Scorpion and the Python ...back in the early 80s.
It has come a long way from that.

I am guessing the reason for the early 2020 announcement is due to the mess of construction happening during the 2019 season on Gwazi. I am really looking forward to its redesign/makeover/redo.

To be honest Eagle deserves a brand new ADA compliant queue and station - and I don't think it would be impossible to do. It'd just cost money.
Anything is possible ... it all comes down to $$$$$$
