  1. Here's the 2015 rumor update from Screamscape.

A Screamscape source contacted us about our concept of adding a Guardian style ride to the Volcano mountain structure. As I feared, they confirmed that there simply is not enough room within the existing structure to perform such a task, as the hidden supports for Volcano: The Blast Coaster cut every-which way through the interior of the mountain structure itself. However, it would be possible to add a new hidden structure to house just such an attraction behind the mountain and simply build up the queue entrance to appear as if the ride lies within the Volcano, instead of behind it.

That said… while I think it is still a solid idea for the future, our source indicated that we would likely see the budget money go to pay for a significant upgrade to the waterpark instead in 2015.

  2. I know this is only a rumor and should be considered as such with no validity, but thoughts on this?

Personally I think a S:UF clone would be an awful move for the park. The capacity is not fit for the park, and in my opinion the ride would just look plain ugly. I think the park would be best off with something along the lines of YOLOcoaster if it had nice use of terrain and theming (in Festa). But that's just me.

BAD IEDA!! For a S:UF clone.

  3. If people needs to avoid crowded people, i'm predicting this weekend. Here it is from KD Fansite

DO get to the park early! Avoid long lines and large crowds by arriving when the park opens rather than later in the day. The parking lot will open at 9:30am, while the park itself will open at 10am.

DON’T head to Dominator first. You will be tempted to do this because it’s the only roller coaster running at 10am. The problem is, everyone entering the park with you will be equally tempted and most will inevitably cave and go running for it. The best time to ride Dominator is in the evening. I prefer to save it for my last ride of the night before the park closes. The line is at its shortest by that time on Fridays and Saturdays.

DO start at the back of the park and work your way to the front. At least half of the crowd will be distracted by Dominator or the Peanuts gang, so take advantage! Cut through Planet Snoopy and head past the Chic-fil-a to the newly themed Candy Apple Grove. Make a left at the Singing Mushrooms and go straight into Safari Village (formerly Congo). From here you can either continue straight to Volcano, or veer right toward Anaconda, Intimidator 305 and Flight of Fear. The lines will be much shorter and you’ll have a better chance at getting multiple rides in before the rest of the crowd catches up.

DON’T forget Volcano has a new queue this season! The entrance is still in the same place, but once you reach the main part of the queue you need to go left, as the right ramp is now the ride exit. Once you head left, go down the newly constructed staircase which will end at the new loading platform. If you’re a frequent rider, you may notice it was formerly the exit platform. Instead of placing your bags on a rolling cart, you will now walk straight across to place them in the article bin.

DO remember to check out all the amazing 40th Anniversary additions as you make your way back toward the front of the park! Anaconda is sporting a much-needed fresh coat of paint, and its iconic spraying water effect by the tunnel is back in action. The Singing Mushrooms are located in Candy Apple Grove (formerly The Grove) across from Dodgem. There are giant candy apples lining the entire midway, and Triple Spin has been renamed to Bad Apple to better fit the theme. Rebel Yell is proudly showing off its original colors along with a new sign and a string of running lights that are bound to look amazing at night. The fully functional floral clock has returned as well, and can be found nestled between Shockwave, the Carousel and Country Kitchen. Kings Dominion’s timeline can be viewed on signs placed around the Eiffel Tower, and don’t forget to check out the refurbished shops along International Street!

DON’T spend more money than you need to on food, beverages and park merchandise. Thirsty? Purchase a souvenir sports bottle for just $9.99. Refills are free on the day of purchase, and 99 cents all season long. Hungry? Take advantage of two all new dining plans. 5.

Hello again. This is an off season tour, and it is March 1976. So, lets do this.

Looks like, this year, they plant new trees in Main Street.

Here's the first half of newly expanded Country Town area and with a new gift shop.

Here's the 2nd half of newly expanded Country Town area.

Introducing the new Biggest, Baddest, and Meanest wooden roller coaster in the world, Patriot.

Rest of the park has nothing changed, and see you in next moth for opening day of Richmond Gardens.

  6. Hmm, good park. I like your unique architecture, the colors could use a tad bit of work but nothing major. Nonetheless, your buildings still look good. Great use of scenery, love the paths especially the Main Street / Parachute fall section. I suggest you make the text more interesting to read though, there was a lot of "this is" and "that is called X". Not so interesting to read. Be proud, this is your park, make it seem appealing as possible. It looks great, but we hardly know much about it or the overall atmosphere since you skipped over the entire first season. Also, year two and a coaster? A bit much don't you think?

Anyways, great park. Good selection of flats and it really fits into the Richmond location. It could use a bit more foliage in the background, that is really killing the vibe. Some minor tweaks could really turn this into something even greater! Hope to see more.

Yeah, it's a bit too much and I just got back on RCT3 because I haven't played it for a whole summer. I will release some post on season 2.

  7.

Hello. This is September of 1975, and the park was a success over summer season. Now lets get to it.

Main Street looks different, because palm trees has been cut down over summer season this year.

I rode Richmond Runaway Mine Train and saw this.

Looks like they're building a new coaster or something big is coming to Richmond Gardens in 1976. The announcement will be tomorrow and have a good day.

On the 11th day of Christmas, ‪#‎KD40‬ gave to me: A fresh paint job for the Anaconda! During the off-season, we’ll be sprucing up the look of the Anaconda roller coaster by repainting the entire ride. The lake below the ride is already drained and work is underway to have the ride ready for the 2014 operating season. And the colors? Well, the ride columns will be green, the supports for the track red and the train’s running rails yellow.
