  1. Quick question for anyone who knows. I have a Six Flags Deluxe Dining Pass, and we are considering going to Six Flags Great Adventure this year. Are we allowed to upgrade to the Gold Dining Pass (so we have food access to all SF parks)? If so, do we pay the difference, or is it more? I'm having a hard time finding information about upgrading on their website.
  2. Very interesting idea. I could see this working if the stations are connected, that way loose articles can still be fetched (unless they say no loose articles on the ride at all, like MF or TTD). Unfortunately, SFMM doesn't seem to care much about the capacity of their rides, so they would rather use that money toward another coaster I'd presume.
  3. Essentially, don't be an idiot. I don't know the quality of high school you're attending, but regardless there will probably be bad influence at some point. Ignore all the stupid crap, be your own person, don't screw up your grades, and people will like you. It's really not a big deal (but I am fortunate enough to attend a high quality HS). Do what makes you happy and ignore all the morons who tell you otherwise. I'm a Junior, so I'm not exactly a professional, but those are just some things I've learned over 3 years.
  4. I enjoy them both for different reasons. I'm glad both types exist, because as awesome as the RMCs are, some floaty B&M Hypers are just as appreciated by me.
  5. ^That makes sense. I forgot how much of a draw the water park is. Good to know that I'll be able to ride everything several times if I ever get the chance to visit.
  6. ^Thanks for sharing. That lift hill seems really fast! It must be a launch like Lightning Rod after all. Kentucky Kingdom can get theirs to work... Dollywood is slacking!
  7. Why is the park always so dead? Is it doing alright from a financial standpoint?
  8. Whenever someone brings up the "But wait, we already have [insert ride here]" argument, I always say: I know the rides are quite different, but no announcement was as shocking to me as Leviathans. It completely changed my perspective on potential additions to park and to never use the "but that park already has..." argument.
  9. Scream is the only B&M I've been on with a terrible rattle. It completely ruins the ride for me. On the other hand, Diamondback had a noticeable rattle back in 2014 but I still loved the ride anyway (the lap bars could have been why).
  10. Smooth GCI! Super cold weather or boiling hot weather?
  11. I shouldn't be laughing at this. This is terrible!
  12. GateKeeper. I didn't get off and think "holy crap that was AWESOME" nor did I think it was a bad ride. It was just smooth, floaty fun as expected.
  13. Africa, Ceremony Song & Ritual. Another fantastic Robert W. Smith piece. Laugh at me, I listen to wind ensemble and orchestral pieces.
  14. San Francisco since I've never been there (or the parks near there). A rough and shaky but awesome Intamin or a glass smooth B&M snooze fest?
  15. Most likely Six Flags Magic Mountain in the next month or two. Maybe later since I've been so busy with school.
  16. Personally, I have no issue with it reopening in June or even July, especially since Knott's is open year-round (didn't Silver Bullet open in the winter?). I'm just glad they are putting forth the proper effort needed to bring the ride back to life. I'd rather wait longer for a superior product then have them rush it.
  17. Lines will be non existant but don't expect to ride anything.https://www.cedarpoint.com/hours-directions/cedar-point
  18. I FINALLY rode California Screamin' for the first time after living in Southern California all my life. #90.
  19. 35 miles to Castle Park, Riverside, CA.
  20. I can't pick one, but some of my favorites are Full Throttle, Maverick, Top Thrill Dragster, and Xcelerator.
  21. All I know is that the park buyout is for VEX High School Robotics World Championships (it's in Louisville).
  22. I agree. If they are going to remove a major ride to fit this giga, please be Vortex. I loved Drop Tower, and even enjoyed Invertigo quite a bit more than I thought I would.
  23. Looks like it has a fun little layout with some good pops of airtime, White Lightning style. It's a perfect fit for BGW (aside from the height restriction issue) in my opinion.
  24. Maybe I didn't catch the humor, but I find this post completely unnecessary.
  25. Update on Jaguar's new paint: Photo credits go to California Coaster Kings.
