  1. Still only went to one actual Bash, how does payment work again? Pretty simple. Keep sending money to Robb until he says you can go. Robb actually wouldn't want that. Even if I send him all my money, he's not gunna end up with very much at all, and a lot of it has to be paid back with interest to a bank
  2. Indeed, always appreciated Robb Still only went to one actual Bash, how does payment work again? We can't yet until the official announcement is out right? Just wanna make sure it's not possible to sign up already and I'm missing it Hoping for TC ERT! That alone would make the trip worth it!
  3. And I saw on the website, you get one ride on Goliath even with the best fast pass, which is what you need of course. Is this true? Guess any hopes of getting several rides on Goliath is fantasy, or I need to use the pass on lots of other rides and suck up a lot of wait time...
  4. if you're able to stay late, the lines on the flats *even the super unique ones* got really short towards the end of the day. we visited during a weekday, and really, the only thing with a line was Exterminator. (honestly, I HATED it, but the theming is well done, and my partner loved it. . . it's an indoors (DARK) spinning Mouse. Jack Rabbit was by far our favorite ride in the park, but we loved the flume, Racer, Thunderbolt, Ghostwood Estates, Kangaroo (it looks so, so stupid, but man is it fun!), and even the Paratrooper was running a fun program. The Kennywood Whip was quite good too. also don't miss Garfield's Nightmare. .a tunnel of love type ride, that's kinda hidden (you need to go up, and over a bridge to get to it).. quite fun with some nifty old time sets inside (in 3D!) oh, and do NOT miss the Potato Patch fries (stand in front of Thunderbolt). . .just cheesy, bacony goodness! I can stay late as need be! Yeah, I'm much more interested in the famous woodens and Revenge, I have zero issue skipping Exterminator and I expect I will, unless I've done all I wanted and there is no line then I'll hop on. Would rather ride, and hopefully reride, the famous coasters and flats anyway. Cheesy and bacony?? Don't need to tell me twice!
  5. Good tips to know, and not being a cred whore I can live without Exterminator (though I of course would like the credit but will totally skip it for others) and I deff would want to try all the flats mentioned, seems like a unique collection of rides. I don't plan to come back anytime soon so I need to get as many rides done in the day as possible.
  6. What I was afraid of, but yup that's when I have to do it. Thanks for the info.
  7. This excites me. I've heard KBF always goes above and beyond for the WCB but that really makes me happy. So glad to finally go to that park.
  8. Nice! My bad, I didn't think the airtime would be lessened, when you mentioned trims being redone I thought maybe it'd be moreso like maybe there would be less trim on the hills, but that was prob just my enthusiast brain going nuts. Yeah I'm stoked to get out here. I'm finally just gunna solo trip it, too hard to get people to meet up, so if Ican't oh well. I've always wanted to visit KW and try their classic coasters and Phantom's Revenge. For an August weekday what may crowds be like? EDIT: Actually, if you ever wanna meet up at KW while I'm road tripping, lemme know and I'll PM you details sometime. I'm a Penn State alum btw! Did you go to UP?
  9. OK guys, I am planning a road trip out to the midwest and I am finally gunna stop at this park along the way. This will be in August, what would crowds be like on a weekday? Is it realistic to hit every coaster, least all the major ones, and ideally with multiple rides? Nice! Will there be any impact on the airtime at the end?
  10. That looks nuts, I hope the restraints are comfy (and the ride is smooth) because that was some intense flipping, and if it's rough at all you're going to need a doctor after that ride!
  11. Yes! A trip to DC is happening later this summer, and I managed to coax my 'GP' friends into coming here! It's been 16 years : O
  12. I was too, but I've heard that it's not always coming to a dead stop, and most seem to say the experience has been very much different at all, which was a relief for me, though still a shame it won't be totally unrestrained. I'm really hoping the $ comes through so I can make HWN! At the mercy of my school and their ability to make payments on time, which is not a very strong hope at all
  13. Yeah, I really regret not going to Knotts last time, because I didn't know if time and $ would let me get back out to CA but the heavens want me to ride and things have actually worked out, so no way I'm skipping KBF this time. I hear they treat us like royalty also on the WCBs And I'll get to knock off two RMCs this year, yes!!! I can't wait for the official POV for TC.
  14. And heck, even last year I didn't find Goliath intolerable or anything, my main gripe were the 3 breakdowns in a 2 hour span
  15. If I road trip this August, I may make Chicago my final stop and swing out by hear. Sounds like some type of fast pass is gunna be a necessity?
  16. Yes!!! I am in. Can't wait to see the great state of CA again and visit MM! Knott's will be a first as well. I'm stoked.
  17. Well I guess that's not too out of the ordinary for a wooden. I remember seeing it on some coaster show ages ago and was surprised since, especially for back then, you didn't expect to see a coaster in Scandinavia, and also thought it looked really damn awesome. I happen to have a love for all things Scandinavian, (my name isn't some corruption of Jared Leto but a Finnish Race Car driver) so guess not too shocking I wanna ride it
  18. Assuming SFMM is added to the WCB, hope ya can find the willpower to make it out again Be sure to tell me how awesome a ride is so I can be envious. Agreed about double ups/downs usually gives a great pop and really "hits" you!
  19. How is thundercoaster? It always looked pretty awesome, and I've heard the Vekoma woodens are actually not bad.
  20. Good to know, thanks! Yeah, this is not a bash just an observation: Never seemed like a park really worth going out of your way for especially since Indiana is not remotely close to me in any way, (like I said, even going to HW and KI this one is far out of the way) but I would like to at least check it out. So sounds like avoiding Saturday and I should be ok.
  21. Aaaaand there it is, the long awaited test video! And whadya know, it looks pretty darn fast
  22. Drachen Fire. I know it was pretty much a brain trauma simulator, but still...credit is a credit and it was such a unique and whacky ride. I remember being at BGW while it was SBNO and it just sat there taunting us!
  23. I was thinking of stopping by here whenever I visit HW but looks like 4 hour drive according to Google maps (even if I speed a bit still a good haul) had no idea Indiana was so big! Maybe if I road trip this August, I may head out to Chicago. I know nothing of this park aside from it's nice coaster collection, any tips about this park? Like is it usually crowded, how much time would one need there to do the coasters many times?
  24. Yeah, just enthusiasts being...over enthusiastic. "nothing else to do" to fill the time so gotta pick apart or downplay, also I think makes people feel good to bash/be contrarian. You are completely right, any worry of "it may be slow" should be firmly put to rest now. I think TC will end up near the top of the list, just like it fellow RMCs Also, we all gripe about rides being short these days. TC, again unless Im wrong, will go through the circuit twice! This alone should be awesome.
