School groups are annoying and often poorly-behaved, but they do clear out en masse between 6-8PM and the park becomes way more manageable. You'll still find groups of kids there throughout the summer (largely summer outreach programs and church youth groups), but they're usually smaller individually and seldom come in all on the same day, which is what tends to happen with school groups. Fridays as a whole tend to be 50/50; they're either really chill or slammed with groups. Sweet, tis the risk I must take. This week! So stoked.

Yeah, I'm hoping a Friday will be better, and I won't have to fork out for a fast pass, though I will if need be. I know there's the risk of school trips but must be better than a weekend? Also, there were a few comments about WC not running as well, like really slowed down and lots of wheel squeaking. I know it was still pre opening and they will use that time to iron out any kinks, but was just wondering if there are any updates on how it's riding?

When will Cedar Fair finally partner with RMC?
JJLehto replied to adamd's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Hopefully soon! The irony is I don't think CF has quite as many woodens that need a conversion. It may be a little soon for CP given they just had Gatekeeper, but Mean Streak really needs it. The Hurlers are another obviously (and I think could be fun if smooth, faster and with some nice airtime hills) I know I am missing some others, though they have a lot that are too classic/good enough imo. CF could get some original RMCs though Dorney is super cramped on space, but an original RMC there would help put that park on the map, and its only a bit over an hour from me lol EDIT: Oh, Ghostrider. Yeah, forgot about that one. That may also be a prime candidate -

The airtime is very B&Mish towards the back half (very comparable to ending of Nitro). The most surprising element of airtime is in the Treble Clef turn.... When I compared it to Millennium Force, I was referring to the slowly twisting and high speed overbank turns. BTW, there is an amazing "hand-chopper" about 2/3 into the ride that got me both times I rode it. Last, I had some people ask me for a i305/f325 comparison... Best Drop --> i305 Best Element -->f325 (Treble Clef Turn) Best Airtime --> i305 Best Feeling of Speed --> f325 (even though 305 is faster) I like Fury as a better coaster because it focuses on mixing up its elements where as i305 is BANG BANG BANG done... I like Fury because it gives a longer lasting impression. That sounds like what I'd expect, yeah I am more into the MForce feel than I305. Greatly looking forward to this -

That is awesome! I'm looking forward to my first trip to this park, and I was hoping Fury would be everything I like in MForce but with a little more to it, and that seems to be the case! What is the airtime like? I know there's not many hills, but I hear there's some airtime on many of the turns/twists. August is set in stone but hey, like I said more time for the big 3 rides -
Nice! Good, I love a relentless ride. Well, no other ways to say I'm beyond excited. And again, if anyone can get/have off Friday the 29th, last second I know, that is when I'm going. Praying crowds are decent given its a weekday with school still in, some are going on a weekend but I just can't risk that. I know the park is generally not too crowded but I see that changing now

Dang...I'll miss that cred then Guess I'll look at the bright side, saves more time for Fury 325 Also, all the talk of "When is Cedar Fair getting an RMC!?" guess the time is now. Why do people think Carowinds is getting an RMC? Honestly, everything is pointing towards a water park expansion with 0.00 evidence for any sort of transformation of thunder road. It is simply a pipe dream. Just quoting what others have said. I'm more upset I'll miss this classic but oh well. -

The ride NEVER lets up. It's balls to the wall insane the entire time. Amazing. I like to keep expectations tempered but I really would be shocked if this doesn't end up my new #1. It seems to have everything, forces in every way, smooth, great layout and great pace. I am stoked to ride. Deff going on a weekday, want to try and avoid crowds much as possible. I am thinking May 29, if it'd be possible for anyone to join I'll be there!
-
Yeah, I've been thinking the same! Only thing I can imagine is they already are joining in, just got to the party late, and we'll be seeing the CF RMCs sprout up soon. I saw somewhere RMC supposedly has requests until 2018 already! So I'm hoping CF is involved! We all want that Mean Streak conversion! In no limits I started tinkering with some out there ideas like a launch during the ride. (I could see RMC making the first launch coaster) If I ever find a way to not suck at no limits I'd post it here and maybe submit it to Alan to look at
