  1. Including giga's 1: MForce (Yeah not very forceful but you can't beat the combo of speed, pace, flow and glass smoothness. Long ride too. Would like more air but it's kind of the perfect hyper) 2: Skyrush 3: I305 (Awesome but a "tough" ride and the trim hill ) 4: Bizarro 5: Nitro (Got it all, speed, sustained strong floater airtime, great flow/pace and some great force in the helix. Still one of the most forceful things I've experienced. The last time I rode it, the airtime was very lacking and the ride felt slower. Not sure if it was just a bad ride or permanent change. I've not been to Great Adventure in 5 years now) 200-299 footers 1: Skyrush 2: Bizarro 3: Nitro 4: Apollo's Chariot (simple but so fun) 5: Superman @ Darien Lake. (Actually very fun. Feels very fast, lots of good air, smooth. I'd probably rank it higher if it didn't have the long straightaways, (how hard would it be to just add another bunny hill or two in there?? )) I love hypers. "Sense of speed" is something that can top all else for me, and I just love fast, flowing coasters. So it's hard for me to not like a hyper. I really enjoy Magnum and I'll just say it: I even like Steel Force. Obviously it's not great, but it doesn't need to be great to be fun for me, I just like the speed and length. Ya know, even Goliath @SFMM, I did ride it many times that day and found it really fun despite its flaws, which probably make it the worst hyper I've been on. I will add Phantom's Revenge in a month, very excited. Also possibly Mako. Shall see if either can crack the list.
  2. I almost went with Viper! That thing was truly bad, but (at least in my younger days) I did get SOME enjoyment from it. It was at least intense and unique (yeah stretching ) I came off with pain and laughs, unlike Anaconda or Villain which left me with pain and bored, or pain and tears ha But thinking about Viper...I can't even imagine what Manhattan Express is like. I've not ridden it but the thought of Viper 200 feet tall, much faster and longer? I can't imagine how any coaster could be worse
  3. Grizzly at KD is amazing. I love that ride. For me personally, the worst coaster I've been on may have to go to Villain at Geauga Lake. This was tough, Anaconda @ KD, a Vekoma SLC, Great American Scream Machine/Viper are all down there, but in the end Villian was the only time I was scared on a ride. Not in a fun way either, in a "I dont feel safe I may die will this structure even hold up?" way. It was the most painfully rough coaster I've been on, I recall it being just drop to brake run agony. I like a rough ride, I like Wildcat @ Hershey, even when Hercules was at Dorney. Villain was just terrible though. I went in 2007 the park's last year, so in retrospect it makes sense...ride was literally in its death throws. It looked physically in bad shape too.
  4. Wonderful TR! Those are some great photos, what a beautiful park. I know of this place but only that Anaconda looked really awesome. A friend of mine went to South Africa on some trip and stopped by here. I remember him saying Anaconda was a great ride. Wow, you appear to be right. I am finding 6.3 Gs for Tower of Terror. If true, which wouldn't surprise me, ho-ly crap!
  5. I have been to CP 2 or 3 times in May, usually not long after the park is open (but never opening weekend) and everything has always been open, seemed staffed enough and all ran fine. Now could just be my experience, but I do reckon by June all will be fine As for opening weekend, I've not been but I can't imagine its the best idea since there's likely to be a burst of people like any park. If possible just wait a week or two?
  6. Already booking my tickets for 2018. Not been this excited to go to CP since Maverick, and probably more so. (No not actually buying tickets yet lol)
  7. That happens a lot actually...and I have seen more than one person blame the ride ops for not fitting despite these poor people trying their hardest to squeeze them in. To me, if you're a larger sized person and was the one that was dumb enough to not try the test seat and then not fit, you have no right to bitch and complain to ANYONE. If you have to do the walk of shame, use that as your motivator to lose some weight so you can go back and ride it the following year. There are plenty of people on here that have admitted it and done just that...and I commend them for it. Indeed, my friend I mentioned started talking a lot about exercise after that and did end up losing quite a good bit of weight over the next year, he always talked about it but MForce was the wake up call I guess. Coasters can be good for your health!
  8. Lateness in general bugs the living crap out of me, for all those very reasons. It's not hard to do, and adults really should be able to leave extra time for various things, especially if you know it'll be an issue. For parks it's even worse, especially with a group dependent on you! That's some real audacity, or more so just a total lack of awareness and care. Honestly, kudos to you for leaving. People would be tempted to wait...keep pestering him and hold everyone up for them, and yeah no one wants to deal with the inevitable rage storm (even though it's their doing), so major props for doing what is right.
  9. You picked a good day. Park hours are 10:30am-7:30pm with possibly several field trips. However, field trips are nothing to worry about because there will be next to zero GP to generate a crowd that would build any significant lines. The last 2-3 hours of "school days" during early June are usually pretty empty once school groups leave. Excellent! Glad my choice seems to have been a wise one. Very excited.
  10. Well its settled. I'll be in Waldameer Thursday June 1st. Probably getting there 2-3 PM. Any guess on what crowds would be like? Planning on spamming RFII much as possible, but id like to hit all the rides. Possible to do before 7-8 PM? Very excited not just for RF2 but I'm becoming a bigger fan of small, nice parks with time. (Too used to Great Adventure, CP, and later on Hershey)!
  11. The car part upset me, I mean yeah were at Cedar Point lol he loves rides, he'd have preferred better rides just he flat out refused to wait, which is part of it or we get a fast pass. I was annoyed for sure
  12. Yeah, I reckon the experience will be different enough to warrant a new cred for me but more so I just will be glad to not have to stand! Funny, what I was more excited about was Gatekeeper and Valravn. Have never been on a dive or wing, and while I'm not expecting either to blow me away, it seems these are 2 of the better examples of each out there so I'm looking forward to it.
  13. Great pics! Cobra was one of the most...interesting POV's I've seen
  14. Magnum is fun, I do like it a good bit but I can get someone not being that into it. Personally I dont mind, actually I sometimes like, a little roughness, and I enjoy sense of speed and movement, so I'm fine with it not really having air time. Fun ride but I see why many dont agree
  15. Only went for one day, but even in that day while 95% of the rides were fast, jammed with ejector air there were two that were almost lifeless feeling. WOW. Those lightning rod pics are amazing. I may drop the pretense of making a "trip" of it and just get my ass to Dollywood, LR looks too good. I'm seeing it pop up as more and more people's #1 and I'm not surprised.
  16. Wow! Casino Pier has grown up a lot since I was 10 years old. Damn, I'm gunna be visiting home this summer, when I'm back in NJ I may have to swing by here!
  17. Yikes. Some real horror stories. I can relate. At Cedar Point a friend of mine was too big to fit in TTD and Millennium Force. It sucked and I can only imagine is extremely embarrassing, he was in a pretty bad mood for a while. However, he went to complain telling us he intended to get free stuff from them for it. What can the park do? He also lied, said to them the MForce test seat was broken so he couldn't have known, an outright lie we went straight on line and never even looked at the test seat. I didn't like the "gunna hassle till I get free stuff" attitude and honestly, he proved to be kind of a pain. Didn't want to wait more than 30 minutes for anything, which cost me a ride on Maverick which I missed the year before...we rode the antique car 3 times in a row, multiple log flume rides, didn't want to pay for a fast pass, (neither did I but I'd rather that than waste our time like we were). I guess it should be no surprise he was that way ha
  18. My bad, I must admit I did make the comment mostly as a joke and same here, I don't even when get that into the cred thing. I'm just a numbers nerd I like to keep track mostly for my love of collecting and keeping track. I collect CDs as well and love organizing junk. Just how my lame brain works
  19. Ha! That's really cool, Cedar Point is awesome
  20. Whatever floats your coaster credit dick-boat. Standing up or sitting down it's just an alright ride, and personally I don't think it made much of a difference. People are stepping off of Patriot on the West coast and saying there's a huuuuge difference. For Mantis/Roug, the change didn't seem to affect how many people line up for it. Nah I can't imagine there's much of a difference except it may be a bit more comfortable. Ride wise yeah I'm not expecting much. I don't really cred whore/get that crazy about it. Just thought it may be fun to start a "is it?" debate ha
  21. Depends on the coaster and situation. My limit, with people, is 1-2 hours, depending on the ride. Only time I willingly did over 2 was El Toro at fright fest when everything was jammed and it wasnt that late. Choices were "go home" or "pick a ride and suck it up". Besides that, only breakdowns have ever lead me to wait longer. Though I think I'm growing less patient with time I was always against fast passes too because I don't know I thought it wrong and against the "intent" of a park, and the lines bring camaraderie and atmosphere and whatever else I said when I was younger. Now, eh I kind wanna skip the lines and ride
  22. This is superb news! After 3 years off I have finally committed to the WCB this year, so I am very relieved to hear this. Any date, I am there. Did want to add to hauntguy's post. The 2013 WCB was an amazing time for me, not just SF:MM but I was able to make a week and a half long California vacation out of it, my first time ever in the state. Anyway, at that WCB X2 was closed, and Robb got us last second ERT on Green Lantern. He swung by to say he felt bad and wanted us to have some type of 4th dimension spinning, or along those lines. Was very cool of him. Our night ERT also was thrown off because the park didn't close lines early, so our ERT was packed and Robb managed to get the ERT extended for us. Must've been insane to get that done, especially on the fly like that. He certainly didn't need to, these were things entirely out of his hands but he managed to get em done. I also made TPR trips to Kings Dominion and Knoebels, each time bumped into Robb during the day and he was always friendly, down to Earth, would chill for a moment and chat.
  23. I dont go that far, but I do think the experience is different enough to count it. Im not too anal about the # but I do agree with you and thrillseeker.
  24. Plane tickets bought. Tis official, will make my first trip the point in several years Can't wait for the new creds. Hmm....is Rougarou a new cred? Hope an epic debate is not started
  25. Will second, Ninja was shockingly fun and I rode it like 4 or 5 times in a row. And woo new GCI woodie! A Wicker Man theme?? Odd but I love it!
