I was so bored last night that I was browsing the Bread Thread. I didn't feel like youtube after a long weekend of work, because I get sucked into conservative news clips.

This is the first new steel roller coaster track SFStl has had in the park in 16 years. There have been people born and driving who have never seen this happen before.

It's a discussion forum, not a "support for the park" forum. Here's the issue, dude. You're acting like there's some small percentage of "skinny" people demographic the park's restraints are designed for. I'm "supporting" the park when I say they don't "need" to spend a lot more money redesigning a restraint system that fits the vast majority of guests. You would need entirely new trains, as I believe the seats on Banshee are wider overall. That's spending a lot of scratch on a clone over 20 years old. It's nothing against you, and on another note, it certainly doesn't mean that those of us who fit without assistance are "skinny." The ride restraint systems at the park are more than adequate for the majority of guests.

I'm a dad. Maybe we can just all stop making excuses and work toward meeting the ride requirements. All of Six Flags Saint Louis' restraint systems are just fine.

Sounds like she's a master at creating her own job security. Hopefully she hasn't convinced them yet that she wants to take on refurbishing the Log Flume logs. I heard she was also the same person in charge of figuring out what to do with the Hannibarrels area the season after it closed.

^Took a job in Troy last year. Huge improvement on quality of work life for me. Hope all is going well with you. You mean the target market? Quite a few, actually. Or maybe they could have... repaired and painted some stuff over the several years they have dedicated their time to something no one will notice. No one will ever convince me that this isn't a huge waste of time.

And how many people would have noticed over the past two seasons who could have been riding it? It's not whining. We passed that point and we've long been mocking. Calling it: In just as many years they have taken to restore the ponies they are going to look like trash again. You have to be a little more calculated on what's going to pay off. You're resources are already limited and this is a game of logistics. Is the juice worth the squeeze on this particular project? Maybe for 1% of the guests. If that. Imagine how many weeds could have been pulled with all of the man hours spent on this project. TTD will have almost killed someone, gone SBNO, and reconstructed as a record breaker in less time than this project has taken to finish.

I just think it will be interesting to see how many months it will take to construct a new coaster versus how many years it took to refinish some wooden horses.

Again. This same beautification strategy is decided on every other year. It's like the fat guy on week 1 of his New Years Resolution diet thinking he's going to keep it up for years.

I'm not extreme. I avoid certain products if it's convenient enough. Entertainment wise, I choose what aligns within the best interests of our child related to our personal values. I avoid businesses and destinations who promote the causes that go against our values, but not at the cost of raising "the weird kid." Maybe we wont avoid most popular destinations all together, but I'll certainly avoid loading up on merchandise or buying their products elsewhere. It's a compromise. I gave exponentially fewer shits about the political environment before I had a child.

The issue is the same as always. They "beautify" an area and don't touch it for another ten years, expecting it to stay in good shape. It's like patching holes on a freeway. Next up on the conversation wheel: Adding themeing to Mine Train Replacing Ninja RMC Boss The next SBNO ride Next season: "Things are looking like shit." 2025 Season, "The park is working on beautification with the new/new CEO. They replaced broken concrete, painted some rails, and planted flowers. It's about time." We'll just leave out staffing and food service, because that's a constant.

Are you kidding me? It's literally the same conversation over and over again year after year, with every CEO, in the 15+ years I've been a roller coaster forum nerd.
