  1. "this show blows!" "the show sucked!" "almost unwatchable!" ...Rob chimes in: "The show was created for the GP, you should consider that before unfairly ripping into it." ....."I liked the show!" "I thought it wasn't that bad!" "I'd watch it again!" LMAO!!!
  2. I waited around that long for DropZone at CAGA when it first opend; I was so scared, the line was torture! 2 hours is pretty long, though I will say I do enjoy a SMALL line(10-30 min)for drop rides, it rases the tention.
  3. at that cost, they might as well just replace it with something like El Toro.
  4. After Full Throttle, I would love to see SFMM spend their 2014 budget restoring both Revolution and Colossus, AND re-theming Scream!. But that's a tall order, and I doubt that would all happen in the same year.
  5. personally, I'd be very happy with ether one! Maverick is 4,450 ft long - Intimidator 305 is 5,100 ft long...that's only about a 12% difference in length.
  6. Muahahahah. Knowing the park there's a good chance they will make it a launch with INVERSIONS instead of airtime, causing lots of disrupt for SFMM fans I got my fingers crossed it's something like Intimidator 305. with the name "Full Throttle", I'd be supprised if it wasn't.
  7. maybe painful was a bit harsh...but it is a pretty ruff and bumpy ride, and I've gotten a headache every time in recent years.
  8. now that they have a new wooden coaster on the way; they should take a wreaking ball to that headache machine, they call 'The Grizzly'. All that space could be used for something fun and NOT painful.
  9. Like many on here, you haven't been anything but curious. If Kingda-Ka came out, and only said "world's tallest/fastest Strada Coaster!" without giving any actual numbers, you bet your a$$ everyone here would be ENDLESSLY trying to figure out how tall and fast it is. It's only natural for enthusiasts to want to know important details like how TALL the world's TALLEST drop tower is. anyway, you know what this ride needs...cameras at the top! now THAT"S a ride photo I'd buy!!
  10. nevertheless, it's going to be an amazing ride and the tallest drop tower I'm sure I'll ever go on. I'm both excited for, and dreading the experience of this kind of freefall! I'm just really curious to know the exact numbers, that's all.
  11. It would be nice to get the exact height and length of drop to compare. When the Burj Khalifa Tower was built in Dubai, they claimed it was "the world's tallest man made structure ever built". At the same time; they released the exact numbers to prove it: 160 floors, 2,717 feet (828 m). When The Guinness Book Of World Records state something as a "world record" they again release the exact numbers to prove it. I don't think it's unreasonable to ask Six Flags to do the same, ESPECIALLY when the seats only rise half way up the red section of the tower. So if you're dropping from halfway up the red section, and Six Flags is claiming that you're dropping from 400 ft.(15 ft. from the top), that would mean the entire red section is only 30 ft. ...that can't be right, just look at it:
  12. So there's going to be TWO Tuesdays next week, that's crazy! I'm just kidding, I'm sure you meant to say month.
  13. I wonder if they plan on removing those beams they added to the top, their only purpose seems to have been construction related..
  14. I do apologize if I came off rude or argumentative in any of my posts, I will choose my words more carefully in the future.
  15. haha! WOW you need to relax, were just have a discussion here. Try not to take an ever so slightly apposing THEORY so personally.
  16. If a ride can't function properly, then safety does becomes a factor. maybe they figured all the weight of Lex at the very top + Superman riding up at the same time would create more sway/stress then the tower can comfortably handle over and over: thus becoming a safety issue. it's anybody's guess.
  17. I don't think discussing/trying to figure out the actual height reached by the riders qualifies as "complaining" I'm sure if they could have taken it even higher SAFELY, they would have.
  18. Did you watch until the end of the video? It seems pretty obvious from the footage in the last 10-15 seconds of the video that it's right near the top... I take my "30+ feet from the top" comment back...it's probably more like 20. ether way, that's still crap your pants high! I wonder if they plan on removing the scaffolding on the very top, now that construction is wrapping up?
  19. it looks more like 30+ feet from the top to me, I doubt it'll clear 390. Still crazy though.
  20. I hope that's not as high as it goes, looks like there's still some unused track..
  21. hello everybody! I'm new here, and this being my first post, I thought I'd make it a big one... I bring you the first test video of Superman's Ultimate Flight!
