My families' interests and priorities sway more and more from theme parks every year, which leaves me over here shrugging my shoulders and saying, "Well, I guess this is the end..." (or at least a little closer to it)
pretty much and the prices will skyrocket now.

Looks like they have no Liner skipper system so just trying to wait as little as I can. I will do some of the water park but most likely will not be doing any of the well known water slides due to have kids and not having a way to leave them alone.
Besides the coasters and The Turkey dark ride any hidden gems I need to hit.
With that does Holiday world have a Parent swap system.
Robb and Elissa what's the name of the German restaurant you stopped at on your way to the park from Ohio?
Weekends might start out very busy until the waterpark opens but once the waterpark opens that's where the main crowd flocks and the dry side crowd dwindles rapidly so the first or two hours after park opening will be crowded but if you're skipping the waterpark you'll be good on the coasters and I'm not sure about the parent swap system but the staff are very friendly and when my two sons were younger the staff would keep an eye on either or both of my sons standing on the exit ramp waiting for me. I'd send them into the exit que while I went into the entrance que and never had any worries about them.

When Herschend bought the park 3 years ago, one of the comments on the announcement was "Just be glad Six Flags didn't buy them again." I was outraged. I actually LOVE Six Flags, and I'm always sad when they lose a park. It's either one of those "SF = bad, everything else = good" entitled thoosies, or someone who judged the park entirely on the drop tower incident.
Of course, I really only care about Six Flags because of DC.
That was part of the issue but the main issue is Six Flags and the Fairboard had a blowout over the leasing and Six Flags basically said screw you we're out of here and vacated the premises. The Kochs dropped their interest as well for the same reasons when they were thinking about taking it over after it was abandoned.

My thinking was trying to decide if it was the video that just was making it seem a slower pace or if it was the difference in the launch vs chain lift, but if it is a slower pace than that's not necessarily a bad thing because it will make it more family friendly with younger children, the one time I rode it in launch mode it was very very fun but very very fast and the whole thing was a blur from start to finish. I personally think for me if it is a slower pace that just gives me more time to enjoy the twists and turns, just my opinion.

I agree, but won't get on a soapbox about it.... Looney Toons has gotten the woke treatment but yet look at the FPS games out there and the violence in action movies and they label Looney Tunes as too violent, makes sense to me but I"ll hush.

You're talking a Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom situtation here and we all know what happened there. It's a really bad idea given that Six Flags just up and closed a park and moved rides to other parks when a lease deal went south. Just my thought.

HW was just extending it to try and fill in the space left by Pilgrims Plunge, pretty nice way of filling it in and utilizing the space.

I agree especially after what happened and the lawsuit over it, I was surprised about keeping the que in the middle as well but makes sense so it overs protection from over top.

a little corny or in this case a little gravy about the theming but it's good to see them finally doing something with the Pilgrim's Plunge area.

It's just scary seeing how much the top part above the crack moved to the right as a train went by. It was a good couple of inches, this could have been really bad but am glad it wasn't.

I just saw a commercial and maybe it's just me but HW world just doesn't seem as special not seeing like a Koch family member in the commercials or whatever.... just seems like that part of the appeal of it and being family owned takes a little bit from it? I dunno, shrugs.

I feel sorry for the kids the most, it did't mention if there was another adult with them, only that he was with 2 kids. I can just imagine how scary it was for them. I seen another inteview with a ride attendant but the posting page wasn't sure if they were working or not, but basically this guy said that the man was told he would have to wait until the end of the night and retrieve the keys from Lost and Found, got back in line then disappeared, and was struck in an area of where Banshee is only 5' off the ground according to the ride attendant.
