looking at the pics in that blog post, it sure does seem to be the Eagle Flyers from the 4th of July section. I wonder if they'll reclaim that space for something other than a ride or replace it with a new flat ride possibly?

According to Dan's twitter, they started testing Rampage on Saturday!
Someone! Tell me when it is going to open! Please open such an awesome CCI woodie!
Dan's saying it won't be open until 2015.

No, it was a death caused by the lap bar not in the correct position and the ride op not stopping the ride to adjust it. Gerts is saying they are innocent because it was a ride operations error and that they actually made seat belt anchors into the cars but Six Flags chose not to finish installing seat belts until after the accident.
-
Just in case anyone hadn't read this yet, here's another update of the lawsuit between Six Flags and Gerstlauer.
I read that earlier and if what Gerstlauer saying is true about the seatbelt anchors being pre-installed with the ride and SF chose to not install the actual belts and buckles that makes SF look pretty bad for not installing them in the first place and then right after the accident when the ride was shut down they go ahead and install them.
They must have edited the article, because now there is no mention of pre-installed seatbelt anchors... >_>
I read the article wrong and misunderstood, apparently the seat-belt anchors were built into the train cars not pre-installed, sorry about that.

Its a shame the loop isn't centered over top of Voyage, how cool would that be to be at the top looking down at a Voyage train or be on the Voyage and look up and see people hanging upside down above you, there would have to be some kind of netting but man that would be cool.

Ed Hart did say something about connecting both sides of Twisted Sister and adding to it to make it the worlds longest woodie or something to that affect.

^yeah its terrible that he has to endure such extensive surgery due to the senseless actions of his peers.
oops sorry for double post, had a brain & hand disconnect,
That first article is great, not sure who wrote that but I live in Louisville and I can 100% confirm that police were not shooting people, no one was walking around in masks, and in fact it was a quiet night so there was a whole lotta uproar over something that never happened when the kid posted the flyers about the "purge".

Also I think it worth noting the following:

The park is catching a lot of hell from this as if it was completely their fault. However, according to the new stories, the parents admit to being present to pick up their kids... insinuating that their kids were unsupervised in the park. There were probably many of kids who were also unsupervised. I know Disney does not allow unaccompanied minors under 14 to be admitted to or roam their parks. Do any other parks require this?
Further, as these parents stated, they were there to pick up their kids, which means they likely dropped them off in front of the park. I bet these parents did not pay the parking fee to enter the parking lot just to drop their kids of. SFA has a pick up/drop off circle just in front of the property (red circle). Just beyond that circle are the parks gates/fences (yellow). Cars cannot enter the left side (as that is the exit) and if they enter on the right that enters the gates to the parking toll booths. These eye witness accounts were coming from people who were picking up kids which leads me to believe that they were out along central avenue. A public road that runs along the private property. The white box is where I have seen people stating and waiting for their rides to pick them up when I leaving from my visits.
Its unfortunate that these alleged events took place alongside a public road in front of a theme park's gates. However, I think the media is clearly trying to lead people to believe it happened within the parks gates... especially the vine video of the girl laying in the grass... the grass in the white box. Looks like this is also going to fall within local police to also patrol the public roads during let outs (like they do for large events like concerts... theme park let outs should no different).
Also latest reports are that the trouble may have been pre-planned via twitter or social media.

^ 140 feet.
even though its smaller than the first hill of voyage in the animations it looked much bigger than the hill so it'll be interesting to see if it looks taller than Voyage's drop.

I can see them keeping CSX names on the theming since CSX has a huge rail yard downtown and is one of Cincy's biggest companies.

lol too funny, my thing is he's not that far from the treeline why not hightail it into the trees where he wouldn't be seen that would have been my move. I'd be running fast.

I guess I'll finally join this thread. How many folks chit chatting in here are locals?
I'm no more than 5 or 10 min from the park.

HW is amazing, did anyone else see on their FB page that ticket prices aren't going up next year even though they are building a $22 million dollar new coaster, truly amazing!
More good news for 2015: We don't plan to take gate prices up! And we have an Easy Pay Plan for Season Passes: $15 per month if you sign up by August 15: http://www.holidayworld.com/park-tickets/season-passes/ Meanwhile, be sure to visit us this season - before summer slips away!

Didn't they say they were going to add the clue reveals to the 66 Day website?
-
I think it will help both parks and it won't really be so much competition. Just look at how many people will come into the area for a couple of days just to go to both parks. I think it'll definitely help draw people to both parks.

I really thought the tribute to Will on the side of the station is an awesome touch.

To those who think the name will be Thunderbird, don't forget, she's been throwing out red herrings in the clues, and don't forget that she posted the clue a long time after someone mentioned the name. It's a distraction it seems like.
Nope.
That's wishful thinking. Thunderbird has nothing to do with Thanksgiving itself, nor a direct correlation with the Mayflower, or Pilgrims.
Yeah, remind me again what relation The Raven has to Halloween.
Thanks for the help, ZeroGravity.
Edgar Allen Poe's poem the Raven fits right into Halloween Theme.

I'm starting to wonder if its possible the footers are for other rides not just a new coaster. The building looks like its going to be either a bathroom, food stand, game booth or a drink station. They did say that this was going to be an expansion so I'm sure there'll be other new rides.

From Holiday World's Facebook
You should also add to your list of family benefits, that nursing moms will never be harrassed for publicly or privately feeding their babies in your park, because your nursing policy is nicely in line with Indiana state law...unlike some parks who have managed to find themselves making unfortunate headlines.

Holiday World & Splashin' Safari: Thanks, Aven. We're all about "free, unlimited" drinks here ... and that includes the little ones
This park sure is getting a lot of bad publicity.
It was just a bunch of to do over one employee's misunderstanding of the policy. Ed Hart personally posted on KK's FB page and clarified exactly what the policy is. The supposed mass breast feeding sit-in was cancelled after Ed Hart clarified the policy and said no one would ever be harassed and he just asked for mom's to use their discretion.
-
The clue was at the end, the mile a minute or maybe faster, saying that the coaster is going to be 60+ mph.
-
I just think its cool that one of the HW crew members came down to Alabama with Dan, I wonder who else went with Dan.
-
^ I completely agree with you about slurs & such, I think the report of what happened was slightly over exaggerated as none of the local news stations never even mentioned anything about this especially if it did indeed involve LMPD.
-
I'm more wondering if its all about the new family members trying to take HW in a new direction and using a different formula and less about KK.
*oops* forgot my example... their new commercials (is it me or is Santa a little freaky looking?) are more about attractions then family which is totally different than the ones with Pat, Will, & Dan talking about the family fun appeal.

T3 & Raging Rapids are rehabs from the park being closed for so long but they'll be open again for the first time in a long time in 2015 and then the other 3 will be brand new rides.
