Hmm, this is an interesting tweet, I'm thinking Racer, Vortex, or Beast (shall we start donning riot gear now or later if it is Beast?):

I love how just when you think that they've covered all of the possible concepts someone comes up with a brand new one. I was confused about the laps and races too. What I'm thinking is the 2 launches are considered a separate race not necessarily that you're going to go through the whole course twice like a Moebius strip but I could be wrong.

Quick question...
We were thinking of hitting the park in the next week or so, and looking at the parks schedule it looks as if the state fair is also going on.
How does this effect the park? Is it busier than normal? Is it a good idea to delay our trip another week or 2?
School starts here tomorrow so the best times to go would be during the week while school is in session.

I vote to rename this the Starburst Juicy Spin!

I completely agree with you Robb, I enjoyed it but it seemed like they just threw everything into a big pot and said let's see what we can make with this. It's a very hard story line to keep up with. I haven't seen Guardians of the Galaxy 2 or Black Panther so I kind of felt like I was missing things without that.

^^ I never understood the 60" height minimum for the Himalayan as well, now if only they would change the programming to allow it to go backwards too.
-
It looks great finally, the only other thing I'd like to see is another crossing from where Lightning Run is to where Sky Catcher is, that would really connect the park and make for a total loop.

^ I thought maybe the were replacing the seals with the new bird show but the website still shows both of them listed... shewwww!

This looks awesome, its amazing how long it is and how it looks like it should run out of speed midway through especially going from low to high like it does.

I was just curious if you get put into a group that rotates through the restaurants or is it just where one server is assigned to you personally?
Well, it's both. You are given your rotation schedule at the start of the cruise, and since all the restaurants seat 1/3 of the ship's guests fairly equally, everyone in that rotation will pretty much rotate together to the next restaurant and your staff goes with you. And it's not like the entire group is sitting at one table or anything it's just an entire restaurant full of people. I hope I'm answering you correctly, the question was worded a bit confusing, sorry.
Thanks Rob, that's an awesome idea and a cool way of doing it. You caught my drift, I just couldn't put the question into the right words in my head. I would love to take my family on a Disney cruise one of these days.

I think the rotating wait staff is an awesome idea as this allows your server to get to know your likes and dislikes quickly. I was just curious if you get put into a group that rotates through the restaurants or is it just where one server is assigned to you personally?

I'm thinking not as many people will fly to the Derby this year. They won't want to put their horses in the overhead compartment.
That's only if they fly United... Delta seems to have the most flights in or out.
-
Usually, KK is not very busy on Derby weekend, I've never gone that weekend but the most you might run into is traffic as people are heading to the airport.

This is why you find things in Europe that you can't do in America, people here are way too sue happy and want to sue others for their own stupidity.

It is, just a case of diverticulitis so no surgery needed. He just is going to have to understand that he has to change some stuff he eats.

I hated that I had to miss this after responding to the invite but my son has been in and out of the hospital with abdominal pain. I can't wait to hear about all the cool stuff I missed.
-
I RSVP'd, I had so much fun last year that I wouldn't be missing this one this year.

Really glad to see they managed to figure out the solar farm, seems like a win for all parties.
- Solar panels over the parking lot
- Only 40 Acres of trees cut down instead of 90
- 200 Acres set aside for preservation
- Solar powered GAdv
Couldn't really think of a much better solution. Yay Compromise!
Hopefully they will only buy American Solar panels made with American parts thanks to Cheeto Head.

Congratulations, that is awesome!!!!!!

Scream Extreme, is a new generation Enterprise, to replace the old one. Curious to see what the other ride is. They said the older watersildes in Hurricane Bay were going away, but they didn't say anything about them. Maybe a New Watercoaster, huh?
I'm wondering if they are going to take out that whole ride complex and put the cabanas there.

WDRB just posted KK's announcement for 2018:
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Kentucky Kingdom plans two new rides and two new attractions next season. In a release, the park announced a new thrill ride called Scream Xtreme and a new family ride called Rock 'n Roller.
Two new films are being added to the 5D Cinema. The first look at the "Happy Family, The Ride" film is of an animated family complete with a Frankenstein. The second film is "Journey 2: Mysterious Island," which stars Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.
Kentucky Kingdom also plans to do extensive track work on the park's classic wooden coaster, "Thunder Run." Other upgrades for the park include new cabanas near the giant wave pool, more shade structures and new seating throughout the park.
President and CEO Ed Hart said in a release that the park had a record 2017 season drawing more than 9,000 visitors a day during the summer peak. More than 30 percent of those guests came from surrounding states.
Hart said when he and his partners, Ed Glasscock, Bruce Lunsford, and the Al J. Schneider Company, reopened the park in 2014 it had a total of 27 theme and water park rides. After an investment of $70 million, the park now has 70 rides and attractions.
Season passes for 2018 go on sale on the Kentucky Kingdom website on Friday, Nov. 3 for $69.95. Season passes include unlimited admission, free parking, $1 soft drinks and discounted food and merchandise. Free tubes for the water park and free sunscreen are offered to all Kentucky Kingdom guests. Additional discounts are included in the early bird season passes. Did you remember to set your phasers to fun before leaving the station?

I'm guessing the Harry Potter ride will be more 3d glasses and video screens like the trend for this park has been.

I think the only reason why I was thinking the Beast, The Racer, or The Vortex is because of #ItsBigItsGone. I was thinking of size wise and shock weight of the announcement. It's going to be interesting.
